I'm new to writing stories so it's gonna be a bit hard to write a long one, but I will try to update as fast as I can. I also have big plans for my SI/OC Bruce.
The Talia I'm using will be based on her Arkham City/Pre Grant Morrison version. Also please tell me if she is a bit ooc.
My OC is going to be a more open Batman than you see in most medias.
Also some parts of the story will take inspiration from Batman Soul of the Dragon.
It was midnight, everyone was sleeping in the temple, but I couldn't sleep as I began to muse on my time here.
It's been 6 months since I joined the League of Shadows , I learned what Ra's goal. It was like the one in the comics, he wanted to save the world or so he says, but saving the world doesn't involve killing innocent men, women, children he is delusional.
I have to keep playing along with Ra's so that he won't suspect a thing, I keep pretending that I want to be a permanent member. It was a week until I'm ready to initiate my final trial Ra's said to me.
As I trained with Ra's I will never forget the words he said to me. I got up from my bed and went to the training ground. I looked and saw training dummies I walked towards them, I began to throw jabs, and hooks at it. Practicing my strength.
"If you make yourself more than just a man. If you devote yourself to an ideal and if they can't stop then you'll become something else entirely. A legend."
These words were ingrained to my brain. As I trained I conquered my fear, I climbed unclimbable cliffs, I fought 20 men at once, I am on my way to become the thing I need to be. I will not stop for my goal. But I will not be like the original Bruce Wayne I won't push everyone away.
I'm interrupted from my thoughts by a voice. A woman's voice.
"What are you doing, up late beloved?" It was Talia, her voice sounded so soothing, it had a hint seduction in it but it mainly held a calming aura.
I looked at her, and god she looked beautiful, her green eyes glowing in the dark, her tan smooth skin and her lips. She was perfect in my eyes
I first met her 4 months ago, I was instantly smitten by her, she was smitten by me too. We were both young and in love.
"I'm fine Talia" I respond lovingly to her looking at her eyes. I took her in my arms, and I grab her chin towards me "You don't have to worry about me"
"I have to, after all who's going to heal you're wounds?" She said with a smirk.
I chuckled putting my lips on to hers. She moaned in content and pleasure.
"Maybe I do know what could help me sleep" I reply slyly
"Let's go then" she says to me grabbing my hand dragging me to her room.
'Oh yeah it's all coming together' I say in my head.
Morning.
I slowly open my eyes as the sun's light hit me, I felt light breaths in my chest and looked down and saw Talia her arms wrapped around me.
She stirs clutching me harder. She slowly open her eyes, her eyes were enchanting to look at.
"Good morning my beloved" She says softly.
"Good morning Talia" I reply pecking her soft lips, I slowly got out of bed, begin to get dressed
"I'll see you later then, Beloved" She says going back to sleep. I looked at her and I kissed her forehead, she had smile on her face when I did that.
"Goodbye Talia" I say to her as I exit her room.
"You know detective I approve of your relationship with my daughter no need to hide it from me" I went to a defensive stance as I heard the voice.
"Ra's" I say suprised at his sentence."I didn't hide it, we were going to tell you when we're ready but I guess it's not needed now"
"Yes I suppose. It's good that you are falling in love with my daughter, after all you are my successor"
My eyes widen at the last line.
"Don't act so suprised detective you are the most capable one here are you not?" He says to me.
"I suppose I'am" I reply to him.
"I will see you in a weeks time detective be sure to improve your skills" He says as he then walks out. I began to comtemplate on what trial he will make me do, will he make me kill someone to test me? or will he make me fight him?. No matter I have to prepare on what I should do, I moved around the league's base I scanned areas that are good for a quick escape.
But then when I leave I'll be leaving Talia also. I don't want to push her away like Batman does in the comics. I'll have to convince her to come with me.
1 Week Later.
It's time, I think to myself. Ra's will make me do the trial. As I meditate I began to remember my last conversation with Talia.
She didn't want to go with me. And It hurt.
"I'm sorry, beloved I can't betray my father. I must stay here, but you can stay with me, we can be together you and I. The 2 of us making the world a better place." She says sadly
"I'm sorry Talia, but I don't want to become a murderer. I won't stay with someone like Ra's" I replied with sadness.
"Then we can't be together". Those were the words she said to me, while tears were dripping down her cheeks. Is this what Batman is suppose to be? hurting people close to you? I reject it, I will better I must be better. For people like Robin, Alfred in the future.
"The Demons Head requests your presence" I'm interrupted from my thoughts by a member.
I stand and turned to him nodding. I walked to where Ra's was I stand in front of the door in front of me. Anxiety filling my body but I show no reaction as my face remains stoic.
"Welcome Detective" Ra's says standing in front of me. while gesturing to members to bring in someone in.
"For your final test. You must show your commitment to justice, and our ways. You must kill this man"
2 league ninjas bring in a man who was tied and gagged. His eyes pleading.
"He is killer, a man who killed the poor and defenseless, and for that he must be punished" Ra's says as he walks towards me, grabbing his sword and holding it out to me. I looked behind him and saw Talia looking at me with sadness.
I frowned as Ra's continues his speech. "With this Detective you must kill him, only then will you be truly one of us".
I grabbed the sword and looked at it. Then to the man infront of me I saw fear. Fear of death, I dropped it.
"No" I glare at Ra's. I will not become someone who kills if it's not necessary. I will not mindlessly kill I am better than that.
"No? Even if this is a monster in a man's body?" Ra's says with silent rage "For all of your talents you have this weakness." as he gestures for his men to surround me.
Then members of the league surround me. I readied my body. I prepared for this.
"If you will not join me then you must die. Kill Him" I looked behind me and saw Talia shocked.
"Not today," I said as I grabbed something from my belt it was a smoke bomb that I made using the things in my disposal. I throw it to the ground, and smoke fills the room. I moved in the shadows taking down 2 Ninjas knocking their heads together. I took them down one by one.
I eventually saw Ra's in front of me, I moved to take him down but he react's and swipes his blade towards me. I dodge it but I can't keep it up eventually he manages to graze my arm. I looked at his eyes scowling, they narrowed, I grabbed the handle of the sword and with my hand I break the sword, grabbing what remains of it stabbing his feet I then sent a hard left hook to and a knee kick to his face knocking him out. I began to get away.
As I look back I saw Talia, moving to help her Father. Eyes filled with sadness as she looks at my retreating form.
I run to exit. I prepare the explosive in my pockets that Alfred gave to me for a last resort I plant it on top of the wall and I ran. I fought members of the league that were trying to stop me, I didn't escape unscathed I was injured some of them managed to stab my leg and hit my shoulder. A small explosion happens and the entrance collapses and I managed to get away, the cold was unbearable but I have to endure it.
7 hours later my teeth were clattering, and my body shivering, I managed to run far away from the shadow's base.
I began climbing the mountains to find civilization. I try to keep my body upright as I walked through the hard snow.
'God being Bruce Wayne is hard' I thought to myself. As I feel my energy leaving me 'Not now, I have to make it' I think as I was more determined.
But it wasn't enough and I found myself falling to the ground.
'Is this how I end? Is this how the Batman ends?' I think 'No, this is not how I end, I have to get up I have to fight it. I have to fight. Get Up Bruce. GET UP!' I yell at myself, as I slowly got up and walked further a few minutes later I found a large gate began to walk towards it.
With the last of my strength I used the handle to knock. I pull it back and let it go, It strikes. I feel myself passing out as the large gate opens.
I groaned as my hand went to my head feeling as if I was hit by a bus, I touched something wet in my head, it was towel. I slowly opened my eyes and saw I was in a bed, and in front of me was fire. I looked down and see myself with blankets and my arms wrapped in bandages.
"Oh you're awake I see" I turned my head saw an elderly looking man.
"W-who are you?," I ask. "Where am I?"
"I'am the one who saved your life" He responds. "As for where you are, you are in Nanda Parbat"
Nanda Parbat the place the league of shadows were trying to find. I've read about it from the library of the league.
"I'am O-sensei" He says to me. But why does that name sound familiar.
"Well thank you O-sensei for saving my life but I have to go" I slowly went to the door as my hand reaches the door he says.
"I know what uniform you wore" I froze. "It is a League of Shadows uniform. Yes I know about the shadows,"
"I'm not part of them anymore" I respond.
"I can tell" he responds. "I can teach you know I have taught many students I can teach you techniques unknown to the world I can tell you are troubled like many of my students if you want it that is"
I looked back at him, and I slowly walk to him and said
"Teach me" As a smirk made way to his face. "Then follow me. Nanda Parbat is a place where powerful artifacts are held, artifacts that must not be in the hands of men like Ra's Al Ghul for years I have trained student's with incredible power and train them to be the best" He says as I follow him. He stops in front of a large door and opens it, he spreads his arms and he says.
"Welcome to Nanda Parbat" I looked at awe of this place, it looked like it didn't even snow it was beautiful full of green, and it was warm.
"Come on" I'm snapped out of my thoughts by O-sensei. "Many of come seeking this place. Only a few made it" We made our way to through the grounds. "Here is Shiva, my best student disciplined, deadly, expect a speech from her on graduation". He gestures towards a woman with asian descent and short hair.
She uses a sword and cuts the bamboo poles fast. She looks at us and bowed, but her eyes landed on me, and her eyes went wide seeing me I saw various emotions flow through her eyes the most prominent being joy.
'Shiva!' I thought. 'Sandra shes here?'
I gave her a small smile on which she returned. O-sensei looked at the both of us and said "So you Two know each other, interesting" with a smirk.
I nod. We began to move we went to see a man training in a small cott.
"Ben Turner, he came to us to learn how to control his temper" He gestures his head to a man with african-american descent with dreadlocks. As he practice with a wood dummy and he then punched it hard breaking it. He panted hard and snorted as he looks at us.
"We're still working at that" We moved to an area where someone was practicing on wooden poles it was a woman of asian descent and long hair.
"Carolyn Wu-san Shiva's sister, she came here with her sister years ago to learn" O-sensei said. She looks at us and sends a wink my way.
"And lastly Richard Draguvski or as he prefers Richard Dragon" He gestures to a man with redhair practicing his kata. "These people will be your class mates for the coming months"
"Let's get to work then" I said.
3 years later
After I arrived at Nanda Parbat I began training there for 9 months. Sandra and I reunited and catched up to what happened over the years she was amazed on what I did and where I travelled to the world I could tell she still had feelings for me.
Over the months we became closer than we ever did. But one night she told me her feelings for me.
I couldn't accept her advances as I was still in love with Talia. I told her that I loved another that I can't be with her. She broke down in tears I held her to my chest as she cried I have feelings her but my feelings for Talia were stronger. But Sandra was a strong woman, she said to me she wouldn't give me up that she'd fight for my feelings.
I learned techniques that were new to me. I sparred with Richard and he managed to beat me, over the months O-sensei then taught me things that made me more than a match for Ben. I fought Ben over and over we had a small rivalry but I stopped it by defeating him. All of us students became close a group of friends. But it was time to go I needed to get back to the States.
I said my goodbyes to O-Sensei and my friends. Sandra was upset but she understood and gave me a kiss on the check, Carolyn who was like a little sister to me gave me a hug. Ben and Richard gave me one last spar. I walked towards the gates and looked back at them giving them a smile and a wave goodbye.
I eventually returned to Gotham, Alfred told me that I need to go college in order for me, to be CEO of Wayne enterprises. It was stressful, but I endured it. I had endured worst.
Then I went Ted in Gotham apparently he moved to Gotham for while and to make sure I was in shape and keep training with him to make sure I didn't forget my lessons. I then visited Giovanni and his daughter Zatanna.
I saw her, Zatanna she grew up to be a beautiful woman. She was taught magic and she taught me how to know if magic was being used. We became bestfriends and she's only starting college so I helped with her tuition.
After 1 year I graduated from College, I was ready. Using my money me and Alfred with the help of Ted, and Giovanni began to build the Batcave. As I was ready to start my crusade against crime. As Bruce Wayne I meet Lucius Fox I got his help making the technology needed in my fight against crime.
It's time I became The Batman.
