Author's note: I really feel like this is half-baked, rushed and a low quality writing. I apologise.

After being killed in a brutal and horrible way, Kureiji Ollie now dwells the realm of the living as an undead, set on a journey to find her way home.

Will she reach her goal before her body becomes rotten and decomposed? Or will she experience a second permanent death alone?

The spooky, silent graveyard in the middle of a forest were slowly, but surely replaced by a jungle full of towering concrete and glass.

The noontime sunlight radiates enough heat for everyone outside. Except for one.

To Ollie that can now be seen walking the roadside surrounded by the more familiar bustling of a city and crowd of people, her cheerful humming, uncaring attitude and unusual appearance tempts the more... curious onlookers to notice her.

"Hey, nice hairband. The sword looks realistic."

"Thanks!" Ollie replied to a passerby who greeted her. At least it's new, not another "Too early for the halloween costume" joke that she had heard for a hundred times.

Now walking down the roadside in some urban city that she doesn't recognize, she still wonders why she doesn't smell rotten.

Ehh, as long as it helps with her journey.

She was about to ask a kawaii-looking Onee-san drinking alone outside a coffee shop when she heard crowd noises and music next three streets away on her left.

Ollie know what a festival being celebrated sounds like.

And Ollie loves festivals.

With that line of thought, she proceeded to run into the source of the sound, as she became excited to see a lot of people in the place where she is currently heading.

"I hope they got some free food. Walking non stop is really, really borin-"

"Baka-gge Corp, the country's number one provider of Cabbage crop!"

The speaker blaring that one sentence woke up Ollie's dreams, and slowly turned into nightmare.

It seems that her hatred towards cabbage remains after her death.

Ollie is about to turn around until she got dragged in by the other people that shares her sentiment.

At least until she learned what is being celebrated here.

She found herself into a line of stalls, they have everything that has something to do with Cabbages. Shake, vegetable salad with cabbages sprinkled atop of it, cabbage-shaped cake, etc.

Disgusted with everything that she has been seeing, Ollie suddenly rushed to a nearby fountain to rest and take a breathe.

"This place is the worst! If only I knew what's being celebrated here I wouldn't even come here." Ollie blurted out. She was about to catch her breath when she stifled after she realized what was currently approaching her.

Its a police officer, based on his attire.

"Hey miss, you seem to be lost. Do you need assistance?" The police officer said. Now standing at distance close enough for Ollie to hear him, but far enough to not become any source of worry and anxiety.

"Uhh sir officer, there is no need. I just didn't expected this festival around these corners, let alone this many people. But still, thank you." Trying to be polite to not draw any aggression from the said police, Ollie thought that what she said about the festival will now backfire at her.

"I see. The Baka-gge Corp is celebrating it's 2 years anniversary. The CEO, nicknamed Skit-Baka said that the number two is his favorite number." The police officer said. However, his expression suddenly became hardened before continuing.

"But enough idle talk. A chaotic bunny girl has been running around, claiming that carrots are better food than cabbages for bunnies and had sabotaged past events and deliveries before." Ollie doesn't know if she will be happy or not.

She is glad that things has nothing to do with her, but she had heard nothing about this Baka-gge Corp or that bunny girl when she was alive. It means that 2 years celebration is a clue as on how long she has been dead.

Meanwhile, the police officer paused before resuming. He seems to understand that Ollie is still soaking up the new information that she had obtained.

"It's a good thing that she only caused minor disturbances and light injuries. But still, she's still scaring off other people. That's why we are wary of that girl and her possible underlings. If you saw any suspicious looking person, inform the authorities. Will you, Missy?" The police officer said. With a smile and nod, he excused himself to watch the crowd.

Ollie are now finally alone in the fountain. Her supposed to be "taking a break" turned to "falling into deep thought" as she pondered about what possibly happened for that two years.

Especially her parents, schoolmates, friends, and her senpai.

"I wonder how they are doing right now. Do they miss me? Did they tried to find me? Pretty sure they did..." With the sound of dejection and sadness overwhelming her tone of voice, Ollie looked down the pavement.

Her negative emotions greatly contrasted the jolly music of festival, the cheerful voice of announcement that is loud enough for everyone to hear, and all of the people having some fun time around her.

After a minute or two of contemplating about her loved ones, Ollie let out a deep sigh. She knew that her questions will not get answered if she'll stay here.

Looking around, she noticed that there are fewer people in an upslope road behind her. Ollie decided to head that way and get out of here faster.

"Ugh, this will be tiring for sure..." When she finally had the close-up look of the upslope road at it's very bottom, Ollie realized that it's around 30 feet upslope road. Her resigned, defeated look started to walk into the mentioned road.

When she covered half the distance before reaching the end of upslope road through walking and mutterings of annoyance, Ollie heard a huge crashing sound atop the upslope road.

After recovering from her initial shock due to a sudden loud sound, she took a better look. Only to have a wide-eyed expression and scream of panic that easily got the attention of the attendees of the festival below.

"CABBAGES! LOTS OF CABBAGES! HAAAAAAAAAALPH!"

Almost a thousand cabbages can now be seen rolling down the road that Ollie was walking to. Creating a green colored avalanche that completely blocked her way up.

With the only single thought of "I need to get out of here fast" combined with the gravity dragging her back to the festival, Ollie just ran straight back without realizing that she can just run to alleyways with even, flat paths beside the upslope road.

She looked behind her, and saw that the cabbages are now gaining distance, closer and closer to her. That made her gasp out of fear.

While rushing down the road, Ollie saw people below scrambling and getting out of the way. Authorities are now also escorting some of the civilians away.

"Hey you! Get out of the wa-"

Ollie saw a young teenager kid just walking aimlessly. When she finally got his attention and locked eyes with Ollie, he reminded her of someone she knows.

His notable features of having neutral face and attractiveness brought her back to the past for three whole seconds.

"Ollo, I know you're just being shy. But why don't you treat that girl better? Your handsomeness isn't a ticket to be rude you know?"

"But big sis, I hate that girl. She keeps pestering m..."

Ollie snapped back to reality as she shook her head.

The next moments became a blur of events to Ollie as she never knew why she did those things in the very first place.

She held the sheathe of the sword on her head using her two hands before pulling it out, without any hesitation. The pulling motion mirrored the way she turned behind her to face the cabbages that is still gaining momentum.

She then planted her feet to the flat ground at the very bottom of downside slope with a stomp before cutting down the first cabbage that bounced after reaching the flat ground.

Two seconds too late, and that cabbage would have hit her face.

Another cabbage fell to her sword. Then another, then another, then another.

"ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA-"

More and more cabbages tried to get past the reach of her sword. Of course, it can't fully cover the seven feet wide road.

Ollie heard variety of sounds around her, woods crashing down, metals banging to the ground and stalls falling over as the cabbages keep on storming down.

Still, Ollie continued slicing and dicing the approaching cabbages. It's a given that she can't cut every single one. But the ones that her sword had reached split into two while losing speed.

"ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA-"

A cut down cabbage was replaced by two more. And it continued like that for a half minute before a single cabbage bounced into her flank and staggered her backward.

As she fell to her back, butt first in the ground, Ollie looked up to see the same kid young still standing on the spot.

Still the same inexpressive, handsome face. She agreed that he has those features, but he isn't Ollo.

"All of that for nothing..." Ollie thought as she realized it's not her little brother.

"Arigato, Onee-sama." The boy quietly muttered.

"Oh, maybe it's for something..." She had changed her mind after seeing the genuine expression of the boy. Still, Ollie thought that it was still too early to thank her.

But as she looked up the road, Ollie saw that there are no more cabbages rolling down. As she stood up slowly, she saw lots of people approaching her.

Most notable of them is a middle-aged woman with a worrying look all over her face.

"Thank God you're all right. I was worried about you. Did you got scared? Mommy's here, don't worry." The mentioned woman hugged the child before bowing her head to Ollie than can now be seen standing upright.

"Thank you for saving my son. May I know your name so I can offer my gratitude to you?"

"No need to thank me. I am in a hurry anyways." Ollie said. Now being embarrassed for the attention that she mustered after all that, she walked back to the upslope road with a much faster pace.

After making sure that she got out of that place, lots of questions are now being asked on her head.

"Is it just me? Or did things become a lot weirder after I died?

Did I just got isekai'd?"

Next part is planned to be the last part of the backstory. I dunno if it's gonna get followed, I'm a chaotic shit when it comes to schedule and plans.
