" Avatar Aang. Watch out. " He yelled as Aang turned around noticing someone was firebending straight at his face.
Making him fall to the floor. Burning his face and arms.
Who was that? Wait.
Why couldn't he see? What was going on?
He could hear yelling, screaming, and shouting.
Everything was so blurred.
Blurred.
He couldn't see. Almost like he was gone. Something felt wrong, what was it?
What felt so wrong.
" Aang! " Katara shouted, running towards him. He was on the floor. Hurt, Injured, and harmed by the fire bender who had just attacked him.
Already gone and out of sight.
Even though she knew, he didn't want her help. She didn't have a choice. She was the only and best healer in the whole north pole.
He was the avatar. That meant she had to help him.
Even if she didn't want to as well.
" Katara? "
" What's going on? " Hakoda yelled running into the building with Sokka following him closely.
She was already freaking out. Let alone, now people were staring at her again. If she messed up, all eyes would on her.
" Back up everyone. " Sokka shouted, trying to clear up some of the people crowding Katara. " Not helping, Sokka. " Katara mumbled as she had taken a calm deep breath.
If she wasn't calm. She wasn't gonna be able to heal him.
It was enough that she hadn't healed in a very long time. Let alone she hadn't healed him in a long time either.
" Deep Breaths, it's simple just healing. " Katara said, opening her eyes as she covered her hands with water, seeing the water glow.
She was actually healing.
That was different. Not a bad difference. But different.
She was actually healing. Katara was healing but something felt bad. Something felt really, really bad. Something was off.
" Watch out! " Katara heard as she noticed fire benders everywhere.
Where did they even come from? Wait.
Fire benders? Why would fire benders be attacking them?
" Who are you? " Katara questioned moving back and forth as she blocked the attacks coming from the benders.
Something about the leader. Seemed familiar.
Very familiar.
" Don't you remember me? "
" Katara. " He said with a laugh firebending at Aang this time, instead of her.
That's impossible. It couldn't be who she thought it was.
It's impossible, right?
" Jet. " Katara whispered blinking her eyes, since when could he bend.
Let alone fire bend. " Shoot, Aang. " She shouted, creating an ice wall in front of herself and Aang.
She was so stupid.
He was trying to distract her away from Aang, again.
Just like he did when they first met. But one thing was different now.
She was blinded by a silly crush on Jet, anymore.
Something was so much different now. She didn't care for Jet, he fooled her once. But she wasn't going to be fooled again.
She wasn't going to fail Aang this time. She couldn't not again.
" Really Katara you would rather waste your time with him? Instead of me? "
" I'm so much better than him and he's nothing compared to me! " Jet shouted in anger.
How could she think Aang was better than him.
" You think you're better than him? " Katara asked with a sarcastic tone in her voice, as she continued blocking the attacks. Heading towards her and Aang.
" He's been everything one can imagine. He lost his people, everyone gave up on him so many times. He's only ever been treated like a kid. "
" You're nothing compared to him Jet. Nothing to me either. " Katara said, finishing what she was saying with a face of anger.
" And I'm so done with you. I thought you could be good, but I was wrong. So so wrong. " Katara shouted as she stopped blocking the attacks, looking straight at him.
She was furious. Let alone she had no clue Aang was awake. Knowing that Katara had been defending him.
But why?
Why was she defending him out of all people? Especially for how he yelled at her.
" Ha. Done with me? You don't even know what you're doing. " Jet said with a laugh. She didn't know what she was doing. Of course, she didn't.
" Look at you, Katara. " Jet shouted with a laugh, as she just stood there with a blank expression on her face. Quickly changing to a face of pure anger.
She wasn't going to hold back any longer. She was completely losing her temper at this point. " You're kidding me. " Katara yelled, closing her eyes as her voice filled with anger.
Katara wasn't going to take anything, not anymore. Especially from Jet out of all people.
" Since when have you been a firebender. " Katara questioned noticing none of the benders, stopping as they were bending at them.
" Sweetheart, I believe since I was born. " Jet said with a smile unknown to the waterbender running straight at him, waterbending.
Not even caring if she was getting attacked by anyone.
For some reason, Katara thought she had something to prove. Just to prove something. Unsure who she was meant to prove it too.
" What's your problem? Jet. " Katara said, distracting him as she waterbended him to the floor in front of her.
" Oops. "
" Looks like you fell. " Katara said with a laugh.
Unknown to the fire heading toward her face. About to cause a major disaster. Right in front of her face. " Katara. "
" Watch ou- " Sokka shouted, stopping what he was saying last minute.
Aang?
Aang was using his airbending to protect her?
" Aang? "
