Xanxas' P.O.V

I sat quietly in my living room area, once again thinking about the last time I had seen my brother. It was many years ago, but I still remember it like it was only yesterday.

Flashback

It had been a normal day for me. I was woken up by Cherep jumping on top of me and landing on my chest. He immediately started asking me if we could play together today, since I don't have school. I had agreed, not wanting to send my baby brother to tears. We sat in the playroom, playing with the miscellaneous toys scattered about. We played for a few hours, until our mother came in, informing us of what was to happen today. "Today your Uncle and Aunt are coming over so please be on your best behavior." Cherep smiled up at her, it was going to be his first time meeting them. After she left, I looked at my brother as he asked what I wanted to do. He was giving me his large puppy eyes. I sighed. He wanted to play hide and seek. Didn't he. "How about we play hide and seek?" I gave in to him and his begging puppy look. "Yes! Thank you so much Wally!" He jumped up and hugged me. "Yeah yeah... Now how about you go hide while I count to 60?" He nodded once and as soon as I started counting, he ran off. I finished my countdown and started off on my journey. "Ready or not, here I come~" I call out in a sing-song voice. I trudge down the halls, keeping my ear out for the slightest noise. I hear a slight rustle coming from his room.

Silently, I enter the room. I look under the bed, and behind the door. No sight of Cherep. The only logical place he could be is in the closet. I creep towards there, and threw open the doors. "Ha! Gacha!" I exclaimed, spooking my brother. I pick him up in my arms and laugh. "You're so small." "Pft. You hush. You're older than me so-" Cherep started to sass back, before getting cut off by a loud bang. I quickly pushed him in the closet and told him to stay there, before locking it. I start walking to where the sound came from, and see my parents gone, a strange woman standing in the middle of the room, looking round with a gun in her hand. "You." She pointed her gun at me.

"You are coming with us." I started backing up as she closed in, only getting the chance to scream before she shot the floor behind me and hit me on the head, and everything went black.

End Flashback

It was truly the worst day of my life. No doubt about it. I sighed, which went unnoticed by my stupid guardians who were all arguing. It continued on like this for a few minutes. Me just sitting in silence, contemplating my past while they picked fights with each other. Until it suddenly came to a halt when a hysterical laugh echoed through the room. "Hey. Long time no see. Xan." That nickname-that voice! It couldn't be… "I honestly thought you were dead. I mean, I had heard a bang, but you were nowhere to be found. And I'm sure that you had no idea that I was alive either. And you especially have no idea what happened to me after that day." My eyes widen. Cherep... "Like how uncle had sold me off to a Famiglia. And they tested on me and made me into this. I was able to escape after a year and I was found by someone who adopted me and took care of me. He explained to me what happened to me and trained me. He also promised me that I would see you again. Big brother." I looked him right in the eyes as he lunged forward and wrapped his arms around me in a hug. Our flames instantly harmonize.

"Cherep. I thought I would never see you again. You-I… I was suddenly knocked out and woke up with some random lady that kept saying I was her son. She sold me off to a mafia boss and he took care of me until I went off on my own and here I am. Are you okay? How did you find me?" I, of course, started worrying about my baby brother.

"Yeah. I'm okay. I wasn't for a while, uncle and aunt blamed me for our parents death and eventually sold me off to the Estrano Family. They experimented on me until I escaped and was found and taken in by someone who helped me find you. In a way. He told me to go to Tsunayoshi, who helped me find you." Wait… "Is their name Sawada Tsunayoshi?"

"Yes, actually. Do you know them?" "Sawada is the grandson of the man that took me in." "Small world we live in, huh." We laughed at the irony of the situation.

Wait. I forgot the Varia guardians were here...

"VOI! What the actual-"

Squalo was cut off by Lussuria smacking him on the head with a frying pan. "Hush. There is a child here."

Aaaaand talk about Momma-Luss.
