Somebody gets weepy when they're drunk.

"You did this on purpose," Dewey said, looking at Louie.

"How could I have done this on purpose? I didn't know you were going to wear your birthday present today." Louie and Dewey were both wearing the same shirt, Louie under a green zippered hoodie and Dewey over a light blue long-sleeve shirt.

"Yesterday I did a barrel roll in the Sunchaser and ate two pieces of cake because Huey asked me to. A large part of my brain is still taken up by doing things that are more fun than rational, of course I was going to wear my birthday present immediately."

Louie laughed, "Mom let you do a barrel roll in the Sunchaser?"

"Yeah 'cause it was our birthday and because mom saw that I really missed you guys."

Louie's face shifted into a frown, "Dew, I'm sorry-"

"No no no no," Dewey said quickly, holding up his hands to stop Louie, "dude, it's not your fault. I'm proud of you for getting your internship, just like I'm proud of Huey. I just miss you sometimes."

"Well, I miss you guys too. And I'm proud of both of you. Dude, you're a pilot. A really talented pilot. You should be proud of yourself."

Dewey beamed.

"Come on then, let's go tell Huey how proud we are of him."

"Hold up, Dewdrop, we gotta wait for Boyd."

"I thought you guys were together, where is he?"

"Do you think he spends the night every time he's over?"

"Did he spend the night last night?"

"Yes…"

"And did he fly you over here?"

"Yes…"

"So where's your fly guy?"

"He and Fenton had to step away. Armed robbery or something."

"Ah forget them, Huey's in that bar alone. I say we go in now and the heroes can catch up later."

"Is that rational or just fun?" Louie asked. He did not get his answer, because Dewey was already dragging him by the arm into the bar.

The triplets, once occupying the same space, immediately became the pointing Spiderman meme. Partially because they still looked so similar and partially because they were all wearing the same "Three's not a crowd it's a squad" shirt that Louie had bought.

Huey burst out laughing before tears began streaming down his face. He was already a little buzzed and he threw his arms around his siblings immediately.

"Oh my gosh," Huey sobbed, "It's you guys."

"It's us guys. We weren't gonna let you drink alone on our birthday," Dewey said.

"It's not our birthday," Huey said.

"Don't say that so loud in front of the bartender," Louie hissed.

"I'll get the next round," Huey said, "Since you guys came all this way just for me."

"Not just for you, for us. The Duck Triplets. The most unstoppable trio in the world," Dewey said, pulling away from the hug and framing his words with his hands. Huey giggled, still crying a little, and Louie procured a napkin for Huey to wipe his face with.

"So how were your tests?" Louie asked when they'd slid into a corner booth and ordered a round of drinks.

"Fine," Huey said, "hard."

"We don't have to talk about school if you don't want to, Hue," Dewey said.

"Yeah, we can talk about our summer plans. My internship is winding down and I'll have a few months off to contemplate my next move, classes will be out for the summer, the Duck Triplets will ride again."

Huey grinned, "Solving mysteries and rewriting history." He was slurring a bit and Louie and Dewey were fully aware that they were gonna have to make sure that he got back to his dorm okay tonight. Louie decided for the time being that he'd just have the one drink.

"Where's Fenton and Boyd?" Huey asked.

"They had to go play hero."

"Boo," Huey said, "Lame."

"How many drinks did you have before we got here?" Louie asked with a laugh.

"I just had some shots."

"You're in med school, aren't you supposed to administer shots, not take them?" Dewey teased.

"Boo," Huey repeated, "Lame."

"I have to side with Huey this time," Louie laughed, "That was a dumb joke, Dewey."

"I will not apologize for making dumb jokes, it's my calling in life."

"Mm," Louie laughed again, "I'm glad you have some other skills, bro, or otherwise rewriting history would be much harder."

"You don't think I could save the world with dad jokes and improvisational comedy?"

"I think you probably could, I don't really want to see you try." Louie and Dewey both laughed but when they glanced at Huey he wasn't laughing, tears were streaming down his face. Louie and Dewey quickly wrapped their arms around Huey.

"Hey, hey, what's wrong?" Louie asked, rubbing his brother's back as Dewey instinctively began to hum a comforting lullaby.

"I've missed you guys so much," Huey sobbed, "I'm so lonely here…"

Louie's heart broke and he held Huey a little tighter, "I'm so sorry, Hue, we had no idea."

"Well, I wasn't gonna tell you," Huey scoffed.

Dewey nodded, "Hiding your pain. Classic Louie move."

"Wow," Louie whispered, shaking his head. It was a classic Louie move but he was still surprised at how many times that had been brought up since he had turned 24.

"You're a really cool dude, Huey, people would be lucky to be your friend," Dewey said.

"I don't have time to make friends," Huey sniffled.

"Do you have time for phone calls? Or meet-ups like this one, or nights where we can play online video games together?" Louie asked, "You deserve to make friends here but if right now you can't then we'll figure out a solution, dude. We'll figure out a way to stick together even when we're apart."

"Yeah," Dewey agreed, "Let's talk this out. Maybe when you're more sober, though."

Huey nodded, leaning against Louie, a bit worn out.

"Are we uh… Are we interrupting anything?" Fenton asked.

"Uh, no. We're fine. Do you think you could order us some water though? Huey is probably dehydrated from drinking and crying." Louie definitely did not have extensive experience drinking and crying, or anything.

"Good call," Fenton agreed and turned around and Boyd took the seat on the other side of Louie.

"How're you feeling?" Boyd asked Huey quietly.

"Bad," Huey said, "But I think that's from the shots."

"Yeah maybe. You know, doctors are supposed to administer shots, not drink them, right?"

"That's what I said!" Dewey whooped, reaching over and high-fiving Boyd.

"Sometimes," Louie whispered, and Boyd laughed.

"Thank you all for coming," Huey whispered when Fenton returned and gave him a cup of water.

"Of course, Huey. We care about you," Boyd said.

"Call us any, any time," Fenton said, "Team Science has always got your back."

"Thanks, guys," Huey said, "I really appreciate you being here for me."

Huey teared up again.

"What's wrong now?" Dewey asked.

"Just overwhelmed by how many people care about me."

"Well, there are a lot of people who do care about you. And we always will," Louie promised.

"Ducks don't back down," Dewey added, piling into the hug.

"Happy birthday, guys," Huey sniffled, "I'm glad I get to spend it with my squad."
