Ed was busy beating up Tucker. He didn't realize what Kagome was doing until it was too late. He was too angry. Big mistake.

Al grabbed his arm and stopped him. "Any more than that and he'll die."

Ed dropped his arm and remembered Nina needed his help.

He turned, to his worst nightmare.

Kagome knew she could do this. She could save Nina and Alexander.

She was a priestess, and she had some knowledge of alchemy. Surely with all that she could...

No, she HAD to.

Kagome drew the runes, was about to transmute when—

"NO!" Ed dragged her back, while Al erased the runes.

"I have to save her!" Kagome cried. "I thought you'd understand!"

"At what cost, Kagome?!" Ed cried. "You would open the Gate and lose everything! Human Transmutation is never the answer. Swear to me you'll never try this again!"

"But I—"

"Swear to me!"

"I swear, Ed."

He was crying. Kagome pulled Ed into her arms and pulled Al in, too. They all cried.

"Alchemists, we're all the same." Tucker whispered.

Kagome fired an arrow that pinned him to the wall by his shirt. "Keep silent. Next time I won't miss."
