"Sir, there's an unfamiliar presence in your basement." Jarvis stated. All six Avengers looked up from their breakfast.
"Hold up. It just...appeared?" Tony asked.
"It appears so, Sir. Would you like to alert Director Fury?"
"Let's not worry eyepatch just yet." Tony replied.
"Alright, let's suit up and meet down there in five." Steve said, rising from the table. There were nods of agreement from the rest of the team.
"Yep, this is dad's lab." Morgan said, eyeing the room.
"Wait, won't he come down here for the suit?" Nate asked nervously. Morgan shrugged.
"If he thinks someone's down here, he'll use an alternate assembly pad," she said. "We'll be fine."
"And if they attack?" Cooper asked warily. "I do not want dad's arrow in my face." Lila and Nate frantically nodded their heads.
"I don't think we want anybody's weapon pointed in our faces." Cassie pointed out.
"Just be careful for dad's Unibeam, and we should be set." Morgan said.
"And Thor's hammer," Lila said.
"Cap's shield," Nate pointed out.
"And Auntie Nat's guns or knives." concluded Cooper.
"I think you forgot not angering Banner," Cassie said dryly. The other four chuckled. Just then, they heard the door creak. They got into position, tense. It was now or never.
"Five heat signatures." Tony reported.
"Who the hell's in there?" Clint asked.
"I don't know, but we better hope they won't attack," Steve said. "Bruce, be ready for code green, alright? We don't know what we're up against." Bruce nodded grimly. With that, Tony creaked the door open.
