Outside, June 4th, 3:35 pm

Taylor Mckessie was walking home as school was done for the day. She was about to cross the street when Chad Danforth, the person she hates a lot, caught up to her. He tapped her shoulder, signaling to Taylor that she should turn around.

"Hi, Taylor."

"Why are you following me, Chad? Why are you-"

"Woah there, Taylor. I'm not following you. I'm just trying to go to the ice cream place so I can get some ice cream for myself."

"So you followed me instead of getting a ride with Troy and Gabriella, or with Sharpay?"

"I'm not following you, and I didn't want to get a ride with anyone. Plus, the ice cream place is right near your house and I can't help that." Taylor left Chad and walked over to the next block as Chad followed after Taylor. They started to walk by each other while still in the heat.

"Uh, Taylor,"

"What?"

"Since it's hot and you would probably like something cold, would you like to get some ice cream with me?" Taylor started to blush a little as she was shocked but Chad didn't notice it that much.

"W-what?"

"Do you want to get some ice cream with me?"

"...I...I…"

"You what?"

"...I'd like that."

"Really?"
"Yeah. I'm not pranking you or anything-" Taylor was stopped by Chad cheering for himself because he was finally going to have a date with his dream girl.

"So, it's a date?"
"Wha-"

"Okay then, it's a date!" Chad grabbed Taylor's hand and dragged her to the ice cream place. Chad let go of Taylor's hand and opened the door to the ice cream place. Taylor followed after him.

Mint's Ice Cream Factory. 3:48 pm

"Hello! Welcome to Mint's Ice Cream Factory, where we serve a variety of flavors! What can I get for you today?" They ordered their ice cream and Chad paid for all of it. They grabbed their ice cream so they could take a seat.

"So, why did you make this into a date?"

"Take a wild guess, Taylor." Chad sat down in front of Taylor, looking at her outfit now while eating ice cream.

"Wow, you look good in that tank-top…"

"What was that, Chad?"

"...Nothing." Chad looked to the left as Taylor giggled at Chad. They started to talk and eat their ice cream. After finishing their ice cream, Chad and Taylor left the ice cream shop and went to Taylor's house. (Chad wanted to walk with Taylor so she was safe going home.)

Outside, 3:58 pm

"So, Chad,"

"Hm?"
"Um...would you like it if we did something like this every day after school?" Chad stopped in front of Taylor's house, but he was surprised by Taylor's question.

"What?"

"Would you like it if we went on small dates like this every day after school?"

"You really want to do this every day after school? I thought you hated me still.."

"I've changed my mind ever since our small ice cream date. So, do you want to?"

"I'd be honored! I've always wanted to go on dates with you!" Taylor giggled a little as Chad got amazed by this.

"Okay, so it's settled. But what should our next date be? Where should we go?"

"Let's start small and maybe use my pool."

"That sounds fun. Well, see you tomorrow, Chad!"

"Okay, Taylor. Bye!"

"Bye!" They waved bye to each other before Taylor went inside of her house and before Chad walked home by himself.

Taylor's House, 4:03 pm

Taylor walked in to see her parents sitting on the couch.

"Hello, Taylor!"
"Hi, mom!"

"So, I saw that you were with a boy outside. Who is he?"

"Chad Danforth."

"Isn't that the boy that gets on your nerves?"

"He used to. I changed my mind about him ever since we went to the ice cream place together."

"Aww!"

"Hopefully this boy treats you well."

"I hope so, too."

"There's freeze pops and more ice cream in the freezer if you need some."

"Okay. Thanks, mom and dad."

"You're welcome, sweetheart." Taylor went upstairs to her room and flopped on her bed.

"He's a pretty charming guy, for sure."
