I don't own Highschool DxD

"Deep breaths… In and out" Blake mutters as he tries to come to terms with what is happening.

"Did all that… really happen?" He asks out loud. As he looked at the desecrated remains in front of him he couldn't help but wonder what else he could do. A grim thought for sure, but it kept bothering him, along with the fact that he's now in the world of DxD.

How he knew this you ask? It seemed as he finished eating the stray devil, he gained some memories from him. He was in the Sitri Mountains, about a mile away from the nearest town, which was known as Demetri. That, of course, put him right in the middle of Hell.

As he digested that information he looked around he noticed that it was still snowing pretty hard.

"Looks like the cold doesn't bother me anymore" At least one good thing came from this.

"The smart thing to do would be to figure out what I can and cannot do." As much as he hated the whole eating corpses thing, it would be important to take what's left of Razor, seeing as even now, he could feel the hunger he felt before he changed, in the back of his head.

"I'll have to ration it before I find a new source…"

As he walked back to the cave he couldn't help but feel the dark thrum of energy coursing through his body.

"Could this be magic?" Blake thought as he flexed his hands and he felt how there was pool in his stomach.

In the show human magic was based on logistics and formulas while the devil magic was based on intent and creativity.

Willing to give it a shot he imagined that the energy would exit through his body and form into a long thin icicle. He felt it take form and when he opened his eyes he realized he was holding it in his hands.

The thrill he felt was something that he would never forget. Afterall, how people could use actual magic in his world.

As he messed around he realised that the more he used his magic, the hungrier he got. Frowning at the downside he couldn't help but let out a sigh.

"Nothing is free." The words couldn't be more true. He wanted power and a new life, and he got it. Just thinking about the figure caused Blake's anger to spike. He vowed to kill that being, and kill him he would.

"Goal one: Kill the god that brought me here." Blake muttered out loud.

As he munched on Razor's arm he decided to test his senses. Closing his eyes he focused on his nose. In and out. He smelt the corpse beside him very strongly. He smelt something far away.

'Something to check out later.' He focused again and that was all he could smell.

"I have a very strong nose," Blake said out loud as he stepped outside of his cave. He looked in the direction of the smell but couldn't see anything.

"Eyesight is normal." He concluded, not seeing anything different.

He then tested his stamina by doing push ups.

He lost count after what seemed to be one hundred.

"Guess that's not a good way to tell…"

Atleast he felt like he was strong.

"Now that you mention it, I know what my body feels like, but not what it looked like." He then began to attempt to summon a sheet of ice, so he could see his reflection. After five or six tries he succeeded, the others being too brittle and thin, he made one in the shape of a thin oval.

Black hair, pale skin, an athletic body, and piercing blue eyes.

"Wish I wasn't so pale." He said under his breath. Out of nowhere, he felt a drain on his magic core and his skin changed color.

Shocked, he could only stare at his now tan skin in awe.

"I can now shapeshift, this will definitely come in handy, let's try hair colors"

He then spent the next few hours tinkering with his new powers. He learned he could change what his face looked like along with the ability to almost sculpt his body.

After getting rid of the few imperfections on his face he could now safely say he was handsome.

"Hm, not too shabby." Blake announced with a grin. He then turned to look at the almost fully eaten corpse. As he ate more of the body he realised how morbid it was to not think anything of it.

"Something has changed within me." Blake said softly. Now that his hunger went down, it's almost like he's more calm now.

'The more I eat with an appetite the more clearly I can think,' Which also meant something else. He came to the grim realization that there is a possibility he could change back into a mindless beast if he went hungry for a long enough time. Grimacing at the thought he tried to think of his next plan.

"Operation: Get out of Hell" Blake said as an afterthought. Getting out of here means dealing with the devils. And dealing with the devils makes Blake very nervous.

"Maybe I can figure out what I am exactly" It's obvious he was something bad, maybe some type of zombie or ghoul.

'They may actually kill me on the spot…'

The thought of that brought him down. He'll have to show his face eventually. At least he could pass himself off as a normal person, unless he gave off a different energy.

He then heard his stomach rumble and he sighed. He snuffed the air again and focused on the scent that appeared earlier.

"Now that the snow has died down, I should probably find some local wildlife." Blake said, determined. He then got up and made his way down the mountain.

An hour later he found himself towards the end of the incline. And as he looked ahead he saw thick, towering trees with snow hanging on him. The scent has also gotten stronger and now that he was closer, he could now tell that is was multiple of the same scent. Meaning it was in a group. Gulping at the thought of his first battle he nonetheless marched on.

'Hopefully it's some deer or something equally as easy' Which begged the question, does the Underworld have regular deer and other creatures, something he was about to find out.

Now that he's on the hunt he realized he would need a ranged attack to hit them with.

"Probably should've practiced…"

Seeing how easy the ice power came to him, it should be trivial to make it ranged.

Now that he was closer he realized they couldn't be deer, because they would immediately smell him by now, and if anything, the scent has gotten closer.

'Maybe I'm the one being hunted' Blake thought with a shudder. As he took each quiet step the scent became to the point that he could taste it. It smelled quite different than the stray devil, it almost had an earthly scent. As he took another step he heard the breaking of a branch in the clearing just ahead of him. As he got to the clearing he could now see what it was. Wolves. 5 of them, and not your ordinary wolves. From what he could tell they were easily the size of a lion. They had black fur and deep red eyes. They also noticed him for sure, seeing as they were now attempting to circle him. He imagined the icicle from before, except much longer and thicker, and twisted the shape of it, making it more aerodynamic. All the wolves were doing was circling him, letting out low, rumbling growls.

He then imagined five more icicles the same shape pointed at each of them.

'Hope this works' Blake thought as he visualized them shooting off as fast as a bullet.

The wolves didn't have time to react, such was the speed of the icicles. Each one met their mark, embedding themselves in the brain of the wolves. Blake let out a sigh of relief.

"I really didn't want to find out how durable my body is."

He then got close to them and memorized their scents for future reference, in case he wanted to hunt wolves specifically.

He then grabbed one of them and put it on his back.

"Hm not heavy at all" Blake said out loud, glad about the strength he now wielded. He then made his way back and forth to the cave and bodies, taking them back, one at a time. Doing so took up the rest of the day.

After the task was done and the day had passed, Blake found himself in a sitting position, trying to get some shut eye. It seems that he could only drift off, and not fully sleep. It was almost close to meditating.

A huge downside, or a boon to being whatever he is now. Not sleeping would mean he would get alot more done, but there's also a chance that he would be completely bored.

He then wondered what he should do next, now that he could defend himself, he could now safely go into town without worrying too much. Perhaps if he brought some of the furs from the wolves would ingratiate himself with the locals. The most important thing he could do was try to find a way to the human world.

As he thought about it, the more he realized that he was now something more than human.

"Do I really want to go back to a mundane life?" This was a second chance after all. This world held all sorts of secrets, and very strong beings.

Thinking about such things brought him back to his number one goal, killing the god who brought him here.

But could he do it. Actually killing a god? Eating the wolves brought his strength up a notch. So maybe if he devoured enough beings, he would reach his goal.

Now that he had his resolve, he would go hunting again.

As he sniffed the air he realized that his smelling sense was brought up a level. It seemed that killing the five wolves had given him a boost to his nose. Now that he took deep breaths he realized he could now smell a lot more different scents.

"Gaining powers from the dead isn't a bad ability at all." Our hero says out loud. He then felt the hunger and quickly chomped down on one of the wolves legs, carefully tearing the hide off.

"I definitely need something to skin them from something other than my teeth"

'No matter how strong my jaws actually are, having a knife would make skinning them trivial.' As he finished thinking he felt a pull of his energy and he felt his finger tingle. Blake looked down in surprise at the length and sharpness of his finger nail.

"This is pretty sharp. This will definitely work."

Blake couldn't help but wonder what other powers he had.

"My body and energy seem to form from my desires, this definitely needs to be looked into."

One thing though, what kind of zombie can shapeshift? It's now obvious he was something else, and not a ghoul or zombie.

'Maybe a library would hold some answers, let's hope the town has one'

After skinning the rest of the wolves he thought about how he would keep them fresh. But now he figured that he could eat it regardless, seeing how rotten the corpses in the cave were.

He then went back to peacefully meditating, gathering his courage to go into the town tomorrow.

So all 3 powers were revealed, hopefully I can think of some more for the future.-Any ideas on what powers he should have, let me know. Next chapter will have him going into town. Still haven't decided on the pairings. Thanks for reading!
