Miko and Monk
Chapter 2
Kagome shook Miroku to wake him up. He groggily woke up and slowly sat up.
"Miroku, are you alright?" as Kagome took his hand to make sure he knows he is not alone.
"Urgh...I feel dizzy. Lady Kagome is that you?"
"Yes it's me. It seems we are in the bottom of the well." with a nervousness in her voice.
"How did we get in here? Can you stand up? We need to climb out." as Mirouku steadied himself to stand and gave his hand to help Kagome up.
"Uh Miroku. Don't freak out with what I'm going to tell you…...we are in my time. I don't remember what happened or how you are able to be here." as she nervously bit her bottom lip.
"What are you talking about? Did you hit your head? Let me climb out and I'll help you up." making his way to climb. (Turns back to Kagome while holding out his hand) "This isn't my rosary beads Kagome."
"That is Inuyasha's subjugation beads...at least what's left of it! Oh god! Let's get out of here and figure out what happened!" as Kagome felt a panic attack coming on.
About 15 minutes later, the door slid open from the well house and two figures emerged into the sunlight.
(Gasp!) "What are those over there?" as Miroku pointed towards the tall buildings that can be seen in the distance from on top of the shrine.
"Those are skyscrapers. The others are apartment complexes" as Kagome took Miroku's hand and guided him towards her house with the bow still in her other hand. "Let's get cleaned up first."
Kagome felt when Miroku stopped and looked over her shoulder to see him looking at the Goshinboku tree. He placed his hand on its trunk. "That's the same tree in your time, Miroku" as Kagome moved next to him. She tugged him lightly, "let's go inside". He silently nodded and followed Kagome into the house.
