Sonic The Hedgehog is seen running across a wide, open green field as he looks to the sky with a smile before Mina Mongoose is seen running alongside him, much to Sonic's surprise. the scene then fades to Sally Acorn looking over a series of Freedom Fighters, who are training for combat.

The scene then fades to Antoine and Bunnie, who are seen sitting in a chair next to each other in a wooden house with a fireplace. The couple are then seen looking out the window with worry as a series of steel grey clouds looms large over the sky. The two of them hold each other's hands tight as an air of uncertainty brushes over them.

Tails and Rotor are then seen building what looks like a race car before the steel grey clouds from earlier are seen looming over them. The two of them look to each other before nodding and smiling.

The scene then cuts to Sonic taking down scores of robots, all while Breezie The Hedgehog watches him with a sinister grin. The camera then zooms in to reveal the silhouette of a jackal floating before it reveals a sinister, glowing yellow and red eye while the Phantom Ruby glows on it's chest before the screen cuts to black and reveals the title.
