A few years passed and Asuka and Yu grew closer and closer doing everything together after they graduated from middle school. They decided since they had finished for summer to head to the local mall to relax.
As they approached the area the mall was in Asuka could tell Yu was feeling nervous she put her hand on his shoulder
"Yu are you okay I know u get nervous in large crowds" she looked at him sympathetically"
"I'll be ok don't worry"
Once they arrived in the mall they headed to one of the stands to buy something to eat
" aw man I forgot my money" she frowned
" here you go asuka"
She looked up to see Yu holding the food to her"
" Yu thank you" she smiled
" y..yeh your welcome" his ears reddened slightly.
They continued for a while longer until they came upon a clothing store
Asuka frowned" I wanted to go here today so badly"
" h..hey Asuka"
Asuka looked over at Yu he was holding out some money
" I can tell you really want to go here so if it will make you happy then here"
" omg thank u so much yu!"
Asuka clapped her hands over her mouth heavily embarrassed over her outburst Yu blinked a few times and chuckled
" still have that issue huh Asuka never change seriously"
Asuka blushed" r...right"
After about 30 mins asuka emerged holding a bunch of clothes in bags she smiled at Yu
" thank you so much "
Asuka put her bags down and pulled Yu into a hug
" um Asuka"
She looked at him
" what is it Yu?"
" your hair"
he reached his hands up to her face
"Y..Yu what are you doing"
He put her hair behind her ear and said
" your hair was getting in your face so I fixed it"
Asuka began to calm down
" t..thank you"
Later on in the day Asuka and Yu sat on a bench inside the mall Asuka spoke up
" so Yu have you decided where you wanna go for high school"
Yu stiffened his hands nervously tapping his legs
"I..um well I..."
Asuka seeing he was on edge put her hand on his leg causing him to redden a bit
" Yu you can tell me ok I won't laugh at you your my friend "
Yu smiled at her and said
" well.. I wanna apply to Ua I wanna take the exam and be a hero but I worry I'm not good enough"
Asuka stared at Yu and said
" Yu your amazing you know that right"
Yu blushed a bright red and turned away slightly
" I...am?"
" of course you are you dummy" asuka chuckled
" t..thanks" Yu then reached into his bag and pulled out a small Teddy bear
Asuka looked confused
" um Yu what's with the bear"
" well it's for you Asuka you have done so much for me so well I figured you would like it I'm sorry if it's corny" he looked at the floor
Asuka took the bear and smiled brightly
" Yu I love it thank thank u thank u!"
She realised she did it again and went beat red and said
" s..sorry I got carried away again"
Yu blinked a few times and hesitantly put his hand on her arm
" I...don't mind Asuka it doesn't bother me"
Asuka looked at Yu who was still kinda red his different colour eyes sparkling in a way she had come to love she said
" you know Yu I've had fun today really I appreciate you lending me money although you didn't need to"
Yu shook his head
" I did it because I...well care about you"
Asuka smiled and said
" well the feeling is mutual Yu"
Asuka looked at the time
"wow its late already guess time flies when you're having fun with your best friend"
Yu looked at her and said
" y..yeh I had fun too" his mouth slowly showing a smile Asuka had come to adore immensely
As they went to stand up Asuka noticed Yu was staring at her quite intently
" um Yu is everything OK?" She smiled at him
" well um I was just thinking how cute you look"
Asuka went bright red " t...thank u Yu I...am glad you like how I dress"
" Yu realising what he said began to panic"
" I'm sorry if that sounded weird I wasn't thinking straight I'm sorry..."
Asuka pulled him into a hug
" listen Yu you big dummy how could I ever be mad at you If anything I'm happy you think that"
As they went to part ways for the day
Asuka looked at Yu and said
" Yu thank you for today really and don't worry ok we are both gonna go to Ua together no matter what you do i'll be by your side always"
Yu went slightly red and said
" t..thanks Asuka really I don't know what I would do without you"
" il text you tonight ok" Asuka smiled
" we can arrange another day out like this"
Yu smiled sounds good to me"
Asuka and Yu parted ways their friendship which has become so deep is starting to show signs of something more that relationship however
Would be tested even more in the trials still to come.
