From The Stars.

Chapter One.

On Our Way! The Ship is Repaired!

Zangya laid on her back, it's been a few weeks since she started working on the ship. She still had some more repairs to do before they could leave this rock. She reached her hand out and felt a stronger hand grab it.

"Tamat, honey…" she sighed.

"Hm?" the young Saiyan perked up, his eyes lighting up a little.

"I need the socket wrench, not your hand."

"Rrr…"

"Tamat, don't growl at me, sweetie, otherwise you won't get to cuddle with me tonight."

Tamat blushed and handed over the wrench. The Hesperidian princess smiled sweetly at him from below the ship, she loved his little adorable reactions. Not only that but he was a great little cuddle buddy.

He'd been gathering supplies and other things needed for a long voyage. With his help Zangya had made so much great progress with the repairs. But the more he realized what her goal was, the more his mistrust grew.

To the young Saiyan, Zangya was his. Zangya came for him, to stay and live a peaceful existence with him. But deep down every night, Tamat knew that their time together could end at any moment.

He didn't want to say goodbye. He hovered near the girl as she worked, seeing her fixing a few loose bolts on the landing skids. She looked up at him with a slight smile.

"Hey big guy! You okay?" she asked.

"Are… are you… gonna leave me…?" he asked. He seemed nervous, his eyes darting left and right. Zangya grabbed his hand, her eyes serious, and it set her mouth in a scowl, resisting the urge to call him her muscle or pack mule.

She leaned forward grabbing his cheek, massaging it with her hand, "I will not leave you," she said leaning forward a little more, her eyes looking into his. She was inches from him now, Tamat seemed nervous, his own eyes shined with that nervousness but Zangya didn't care.

"Breathe okay?" she asked softly, rubbing his cheeks, "Don't worry about it, Tamat! Worrying causes wrinkles!" She joked. Tamat cocked his head, his dark eyes squinting a little.

"Worrying… causes wrinkles? But, I thought going grey causes them?" he wondered a little, making Zangya sigh and move back under the ship. The odd dagger-shaped spaceship differed from the Freeza Force pod Tamat's hut was made of, but every time she tried to ask him about it he'd get that faraway look in his eyes. A sad, empty sigh would whisper out and Tamat would just lumber inside. The Saiyan was a lonely soul that Zangya regretted to use even more as time went on. Tamat stood and watched the skies, growling a little.

"No no no!" she hissed, "Not him, don't let it be him!" Zangya rolled out to see Tamat blast off towards a landing site not too far from them, it seemed to be an exploration craft from some other group looking to settle here.

"Huh… I'm picking something up on radar, Gumo," a spider like being mumbled, clacking it's mandibles together pensively, hearing the pinging. His companion was the same species as him, albeit more humanoid, Gumo reared on his legs, his eyes scanning around, blaster in one set of hands and the other two on a data tablet.

"Huuhn… that's weird, the pad says Jamdo doesn't have beings like yous and I," Gumo mumbled, "Ya gotta check it again…"

The pinging grew more rapid, picking up in tempo the more it went on, "Ahh… bro? This ain't an animal!" Tsuchi clamped his mandibles harshly, scuttling out of the ship to drag his older brother in to show him. But then Tamat crashed into the site, trees bending and quaking to get out of the massive Saiyan's way and a crater formed where he landed..

He brought himself to his full height, "Move… now…" he growled, the spider brothers took one look at him, jaws hanging and watching as the monstrous warrior marched forward slowly. Tamat's muscles bulged and his eyes turned golden.

"Bruh! No way! That's a…" Tsuchi muttered, "A Saiyan!" pointing a clawed hand at Tamat as he looked down at it impassively. Gumo cocked his rifle, smiling widely.

"Saiyans go for tons of units on the black market! Some say the former Freeza Force is looking for some! Let's acquire him!" the older brother snarled. Tamat just growled.

"Get… off… my… planet! Before I… I make you!" He snarled, a blast hitting his shoulder, the gun smoking in Gumo's hands. Tamat reached for his shoulder and rubbed the blood off, looking down at his hand with a smile. He raised that hand, blasting an enormous hole in Gumo's chest, making him roll away and the blaster to drop to the jungle floor. Tsuchi gritted his fangs with his mandibles clashing together, taking his stance as Tamat grinned and clenched his fists at his sides.

Meanwhile, with Zangya.

"Where is he? Come on, Zangya! Think!" the young Hesperidian princess mumbled to herself, flying over the jungle trying to find the clearing where her Saiyan was. She heard a loud blast and followed the noise to see her Saiyan standing there with a smoking bloodied hand and a wide, almost manic grin. She saw the spider-like man roll by and she grabbed the sword hilt on her back, running towards the direction that Gumo rolled from. She felt the pressure of the area increase; the trees bending as she beheld Tamat, holding the other brother by the head.

"Hey! We… We didn't-" Tamat slammed his head into Tsuchi's own, with each headbutt Tsuchi's body jerked and thrashed, with him throwing the poor spider into the tree, crushed head and punctured chest on one branch.

Tamat bellowed and beat his chest, "RAHAHAHAHAHAHA! THAT WAS FUN!" his golden eyes settled on the ship the spider brothers came in on. He grinned and sent a blast into the ship. The blast decimated the hunk of metal, causing Zangya to hit the ground. Tamat roared, his strength making the entire planet shake and shudder. He grabbed his head and Zangya booked it for her ship, starting it and beginning the takeoff sequence.

Suddenly, Tamat appeared in front of the ship, "Forgetting someone, my star?" he asked. Zangya gulped, what could she say to talk down her Saiyan from blowing everything on this planet to kingdom come?

"I always knew I would be abandoned! I should've never entertained-" suddenly he stopped talking, a band on his arm glowing and seeming to pass out, landing on the front of the ship. Zangya got on top of the ship, dragging the unconscious Saiyan into the cockpit. His eyes flutter around.

"Z-Zangya…?" he mumbled, settling in the seat alongside her, she sighed and touched his cheek, feeling his big hand enclose hers. Suddenly her fingers felt wet, seeing the massive warrior that was seconds away from erasing her sobbing was odd. The Heran closed her eyes, feeling Tamat's hand clench hers.

"Did I… did I scare you?" he wondered, "Is… is that why he told me you were gonna leave…?"

'He?' Zangya thought before speaking, "No! It's just that I wanted to get off the planet just in case you were gonna tear it a new one!" she reasoned.

"I see, well… can we go back, Zangya?" the Saiyan asked, wringing his hands in the red cloak around his waist. The Heran sighed.

"We can't, sweetie… chances are that those guys could've sent a distress beacon, meaning our little house and those cute little pig moles are gonna be toast if we stayed," she explained.

"But I can fight them, Zangya! We can be happy back home! Please, just trust me, my star!" Tamat begged, his arms around her, hugging her close and trying not to break her. Zangya sighed, thinking back to when Bojack sprung her out of her tower.

"Tamat… I can't go back. We. We can't go back now. We're marked. I'm wanted in almost every quadrant and that means Guys who enforce Laws wanna get me and you," Zangya mumbled, "I wish not that way but I've done a lotta awful stuff," Tamat pushed her back gently and not too roughly, eyes full of tears. The young Saiyan went towards the back of the ship and sat down on the bunk at the back, or rather the only one. He sniffled, his eyes filling with tears.

"Big guy…" Zangya sighed, looking back a little, "Think of it like a big adventure."

Tamat looked at her with a tear-soaked face with snot running down his face, "But… I'm scared, I don't…" he whispered. Bad things always happened to those Tamat loved. His mother, gone in an instant, his father shoving him into a pod with his mother, his brother being dragged away by his father, with Tamat remembering that he was screaming for them.

The ship exited Jamdo's atmosphere, and Tamat saw his home get smaller and smaller, with each passing second he sobbed and Zangya couldn't do anything about it…

The exiled royals both left their sanctuary.

The stars rushed by as Zangya settled in alongside her Saiyan. He hadn't moved from his spot and ate very little. He didn't want to talk at all. But she settled, hearing him roll over, seeing his glittering black eyes red from crying and his hair even messier. Zangya reached out and drew him close, feeling his arms around her. She smiled. Her Saiyan was going to be alright. He was tough. Even though he knew little about anything, she was feeling fluttery. Almost like she wanted to show him everything.

"Hey, Tamat?" she asked.

"Yes, Zangya?" he wondered.

"How about I give you this?" she asked, taking off one of her earrings, small and orange, shining in the artificial lights of the quarters. Tamat took it and studied it with an overly serious scowl on his face that made Zangya giggle.

"What is it?" he ventured.

"Its one of my earrings! That way if anything happens to me, you can just look in the mirror or grab it and think really hard! Then I'm right here. Right next to-" Tamat suddenly squeezed her.

"Z-Zangya!" He sobbed, "Thank you!"

Zangya flinched a little, but returned the embrace. She didn't need words to tell him he'd never be alone again. Over her time on Jamdo, however short it was, she saw how lonely her Saiyan had been.

She resolved never to leave him alone. The young princess curled into the arms of the Saiyan, feeling at peace.
