Des was dragged through the camp. She could hear the soldiers walking by. She could not see where she was going, Vulpes had put a black bag over her head making sure she could not survey the camp. He was cautious and meticulous. He was not going to underestimate this woman. Des wracked her head trying to come up with a conversation starter with the legionnaire, but she was unsure what his interests would be. Maybe he liked Caravan? She was fast one with that game, she had cleaned out many pockets with that game.

"So, am I to understand that I was brought here to open a vault?" She said this as she felt him push her through some fabric. She assumed it must be the tent she was going to be held in. Vulpes shoved her on to a hard chair, not giving her anytime to react he took off her blindfold.

"This will be our tent where I will monitor you 24/7. If you need anything I will get it for you and if you wish to use the outhouse, I will escort you there myself. If you try to run, you will be executed. Am I understood?"

Des wordlessly nodded and looked around the tent. Her new prison one might say.

"Today you will get accommodated and tomorrow you will start your new job." He sat down in the chair on the other side of the table.

"What is this job? I'm assuming it's important if you had to kidnap me from Primm." Des wriggled in the chair turning to him.

"Yes, it is important. You are not important. Remember that.''

With that he stood up and walked around behind her. Des felt a cold blade go between her wrists and the sweet release of her wrists. She looked at Vulpes. She knew she had to bide her time. Until then she had to dance around this man. After all he was the fox and she was the rabbit in his game.
