Kagome woke up from her bed, she started fixing her blanket and pillow. Then, she went to her cabinet to gather her uniforms for the preparation of training on the grounds, and went to take a bath. As she put shampoo on her ebony hair, she reminisced about the past after going back to the Sengoku era - 5 years ago.

'It's been 4 years and 8 months since I was sent here, I was found by the scouts of Commander Erwin Smith. I still remember when I was pushed down the well, forcibly, whilst hearing the shout from my friends voice and seeing the face of that witch smirking down at me. Then, horror greeted me as I first got here. Damn it! It is because of that dream again, if I ever found a way to go back to that period, I swear I will hunt down that witch. For now, I will get stronger just as she waits!'

Motivated, she finishes lathering her body with soap and rinse, she pulls her towel and wraps it around her body to walk outside the bathroom. After drying herself, she went to don her uniform still with difficulty due to the harness attached to it. Then, went outside to go down the mess hall. Upon entering she went in and scanned the crowd to look for blond hair and immediately went to that direction to report.

"Sir Commander Erwin! Higurashi, Kagome reporting for duties, Sir!"

Saluting, putting her right hand on her chest while her left hand was placed at her back. The blond man she was addressing was the Commander of Survey Corps, Erwin Smith, turning his attention to her and acknowledging her when he nodded for her to be at ease.

"Cadet Higurashi"

"Yes, Sir!"

"I would like you to meet the Captain of Special Operation Squad, Levi Ackerman, of the Scout Regiment, you will be assigned on his team from onwards, don't you?"

"Sir, Yes sir!"

As Kagome agreed upon the order she was given, she noticed that on the side of Commander Erwin, was a man reaching just above his elbow sporting a black hair styled in undercut and wearing a grimace expression, as if he swallowed a sour drink, with an asian features paired with narrowed black grey eyes and youthful faces. Kagome turns to him and salutes just like with Commander Erwin.

"Sir Captain Levi!"

"Tsk, be at ease brat. On the morrow, you will be meeting the other scouts member, any question Cadet?"

"Sir, yes sir"

"What is it brat? Better tell it to me as I do not have the fucking time to waste"

Hesitant with questioning her superior, she still proceeds knowing she will get in trouble in the end.

"Sir, how old are you? Why do you call me brat when you look younger than me aside from being short?"

After asking that, everyone went quiet inside the mess hall as one can hear the birds chirping outside the barracks and turn to the woman who had the guts to ask that question. When Kagome looks around and turns back to her superior, she can feel her sweat forming on her temple as thousands of negative thoughts run through her mind.

'Shit! I should have put my foot in my mouth, Kagome you and your big mouth! Oh no! I'm going to die damn!'

As she waits for her superior to respond, Commander Erwin laughs out loud, while Captain Levi sports an irritated expression and replies.

"Fucking brat, I see you have guts. Cadet Higurashi, I'm in my fucking 30s and as for my younger look I don't think that is any of your damn business, does that satisfy you, cadet? Now that we are done with questioning I would like to go back to my room and rest as I see that I've got a loud mouth cadet assigned to me for the morrow.

As he continues to walk until he reaches the exit, he suddenly stops.

"Cadet Higurashi, fucking prepare yourself"
