While they watched them leave Amy, Cream, Blaze and Rouge looked at Silver and Shadow in disappointment and disgusted.

"What kind of brothers leave each other?" Cream asked.

Blaze stood there looking at Silver.

"I thought I knew you, but I guess not." she said.

"Guys, we hid it to make us feel safer." Silver said.

"You still shouldn't have left him with Eggman. He's the strongest but he still had no right to fighting him himself." Rouge said.

The two hedgehogs knew she was right and looked down.

"Let's just head home." Amy said.

They all nodded and headed home.

Shadow and Silver were now at Shadow's house thinking when they heard something.

"Shadow? Silver?" a girl said.

"Maria?" Shadow said.

"Gerald?" Silver said.

They sat there in shock.

"Why did you leave him? I made you three to stay together." Gerald said.

"We don't know." Silver said.

"You left Sonic to take care of my grandson by himself when it should be you three. If he hadn't made friends lord only knows what he would be now!"

Shadow and Silver sat there in shame.

"We're sorry doctor, Maria." Shadow said.

"It's not us that you should apologize to Shadow." Maria said.

Then Gerald took something out.

"This can show you what Sonic has been doing since that day." he said and they looked at it.

"I can't believe they left me! Doctor told us to stay together and they broke the promise. Well don't worry about me Gerald, Maria. I promise to defeat him even if I have to do it myself." Sonic said and ran away crying.

Shadow and Silver winced at that.

Then they saw Sonic at the park having some lunch.

He had hidden his limiters under his gloves and socks.

"Any day he's coming, and when he does I'll beat him. To hide who we are I'll fight him without the powers except speed I was given." he said.

Then he heard something and looked up.

"There you are. Now let's go make Gerald and Maria proud."

After that he got up and ran.

Then he jumped and got a Swatbot hard.

"Huh?" everyone said.

"Hey! Leave this town alone!" Sonic said.

"Ah, Sonic the Hedgehog, the hedgehog I've heard about from a certain friend of mine." Eggman said. "You may call me Dr. Eggman."

"I'll never call you doctor!" he said and jumped then turned into a ball and destroyed another Swatbot.

"You are strong."

'Oh that's nothing compared to what else I can do.' Sonic thought and looked at his limiters. 'I'm the strongest one of us three but will hide most of it in me.'

Then he ran after another Swatbot and got it hard.

While he fought people watched him in shock.

When Eggman was defeated Sonic jumped on top of the Eggomatic.

"You listen hear and you listen good. Tell one person what and who I am and you'll be having a funeral in five seconds. You know who my brothers are, you know what we are but you don't know what we can do. And the day I tell you is the day I give up."

Eggman gulped and nodded.

Then Sonic jumped and kicked him hard getting him to be gone.

Shadow and Silver sat there in shock.

"He hid his limiters." Silver said.

"How did he hide so much strength and stuff?" Shadow said.

Then they looked at each other.

"We don't know him anymore." Shadow said.

Then they continued.

Next they saw him at Green Zone Hill tired and hurt.

They winced at that.

Then he laid down and groaned.

"My head, arm and leg hurt." he muttered and dozed off.

Two hours later he woke up finding himself inside a place.

"Huh?" Shadow and Silver said.

"Huh?" he said.

"You're awake!" someone said.

"Who are you?"

"I hate my name but it's Miles Prower. I saw you laying there in really bad condition so I took you to my workshop and fixed you up."

"Ahhh." they said together.

"We should have figured that out." Silver said and Shadow nodded.

"Thanks a lot." Sonic said and saw two tails. "Is that two tails?"

"Yeah. I can fly using them!"

"Cool! So where are your parents?"

"I don't know. We got seperated when I was two and have been by myself since."

"How old are you?"

"Five. I like mechanics and make my own stuff to."

"Cool. You don't like your name huh?"

"Not really."

"My name's Sonic and seeing you with two tails how about Tails?"

"Yeah! I like it!"

"Alright then. Now can you tell me what's wrong?"

"Right. So you have a broken leg, sprained wrist, a little concussion but not that bad and a bruise on your left rib. So I took you here and fixed you up. I saw you fighting Eggman."

They winced again.

"Yeah, I've been doing that for three years." he said. "Thanks for taking care of me."

"No problem." Tails said smiling. "If you let me stay with you I'll help you."

"Sure. If you wanna fight Egghead all the time."

"OK!"

"Alright then. Once I'm all healed we'll get to work!"

'Which will probably be by tomorrow.' he thought.

Then that one ended and Shadow and Silver sat there in guilt at what they did to him.

Maria and Gerald saw that and then the next one started.

Sonic and Tails were at Angel Island fighting Knuckles.

"Huh?" Shadow and Silver said together.

"They didn't start out as friends?" Silver said.

"No. Knuckles started out working for Ovi." Gerald said.

"They fought him three times." Maria said.

"Would you stop?! I'm not the one after the Master Emerald! Eggman is!" Sonic said.

"No he's not!" Knuckles said and punched him hard.

"Ow! There goes my shoulder." Sonic said and winced.

Then he got back up and grabbed a ring.

"I'll show you!" he said and started running faster shocking Knuckles and smashing into him.

"What is that?!" Knuckles asked.

"It's called a power ring. Tails made it a few years ago. It makes me go faster."

Then they heard something and looked up to see Eggman with the Master Emerald.

"THE MASTER EMERALD! YOU TOLD ME THE HEDGEHOG AND FOX WERE AFTER IT!" Knuckles yelled.

"Hahahaha! You actually believe me?" Eggman said.

Then Sonic jumped and got him hard.

Knuckles growled and did the same thing.

While they fought him Knuckles felt like an idiot and guilty after hurting the hedgehog.

When they got it and Eggman gone Knuckles looked at Sonic and Tails who was cleaning up Sonic.

"I'm, um, sorry about what I did to you. If you come to my place you can get cleaned up. I have more first aid objects in my house." he said.

Sonic was about to say something but hissed instead.

Knuckles could tell he was in a lot of pain so he gently picked him up and carried him to his house.

When they got there he laid him down on the couch and went to get everything.

"Here you go. Everything you need. Gaze, tape, ace bandage, alcohol, everything." Knuckles said and Tails took it from there.

While Tails fixed Sonic up Knuckles looked at him in guilt.

"There we go. All fixed up and will probably be fine by tomorrow as usual." Tails said smiling.

"Thanks buddy." Sonic said.

Then Sonic, Tails and Knuckles looked at each other in silence for a few minutes.

"I want to help you." Knuckles said a few minutes later.

"Huh?" Sonic and Tails said together.

"I wanna help you with Eggman as an apology."

Sonic and Tails looked at each other.

"What do you think?" Sonic asked.

"It would help with more people." Tails said.

"Yeah. So Knuckles, welcome to Team Sonic."

He smiled and they shook hands.

After that they were shocked at how Team Sonic was created.

While they watched everything Sonic had they were shocked and felt guilty.

After the fight earlier they looked at each other then doctor and Maria.

"Now you know what you did to him after leaving him." Gerald said. "Now you'll see what they're doing right now."

They watched them in silence.

"Ready Tails?" Sonic asked.

"Ready! Knuckles?" Tails said.

"Ready." Knuckles said.

"Let's do it then!" Sonic said and they ran.

Shadow and Silver smiled seeing how happy Sonic is with them.

That got them to feel guilty and hurt he has fun with them and not themselves anymore.

While they ran Sonic laughed and smiled.

"You're getting good Tails, Knuckles. But you're never gonna beat me!" Sonic said and sped up.

"Hey!" Tails and Knuckles said together.

"Haha!" Sonic said smiling. "You're lucky I'm not using a Sonic Boom!"

When they got to the edge Sonic, Tails and Knuckles stood there smiling.

"I win again." Sonic said.

"I wonder why they made you so fast." Knuckles said.

"I don't know. They just did." Sonic said.

"I guess we'll never know." Tails said not happy.

Shadow and Silver snickered.

Sonic and Knuckles snickered.

"You hate it when you don't know the answer don't you?" Sonic said.

Tails turned bright red while Knuckles fell on the ground laughing.

"Yes." Tails said.

Then they sat down and relaxed.

While Shadow and Silver watched Team Sonic they were happy Sonic was happy and having fun but hurt at the same time.

Then it stopped.

"As you can see, Sonic truly only calls Tails and Knuckles as brothers and a family." Maria said.

"Will he ever forgive us Maria? Doctor?" Shadow asked.

"I don't know but if he does I don't think he will do it quickly." Gerald said.

"I, don't think he'll forgive you. I've seen him crying when he's alone once in a while. Not as often as before he met Tails and Knuckles. And remember, Knuckles started out working for Ovi and they still became friends. You two left him and didn't even see him in years. While the minute Team Sonic was created they were inseparable. Sonic helps Knuckles with the Master Emerald from time to time and Knuckles helps Sonic with Ovi. They visit each other often, when one of them is sick or hurt they take care of them, when one of them is upset they help him and celebrate their anniversary of the day they created Team Sonic. When it's a holiday or a birthday they celebrate it like a family and everything else. The reason Sonic let Knuckles leave was so you could get home quickly and safely. Knuckles is the oldest one of them and tries to look after them. Sonic does the same thing with Tails. Like a family and you three used to do." Maria said.

Shadow and Silver sat there quietly and fighting tears after realizing that Sonic, Tails and Knuckles really are more of a family then the three of them put together.
