Prologue, Part 2: The Beach, The Bridge, & The Route To Seduction
After paying the bills for their food, Lucy and Mai left the restaurant to continue their date somewhere else while Mai made Lucy blush from holding her hand on the way to the next fun place. They ended up going to Magnolia Beach, which was a beach known for its golden sand and average-sized waves that could occur when the sea winds were very heavy, and Lucy smiled happily from seeing the sun send its rays of heat and brightness down on to the beach. Lucy had been hoping that the beach's weather wouldn't be cold today, since she really wanted this date with Mai to be very fun for both of them.
Mai gave Lucy a very friendly smile of pleasure from seeing the beach right below the town's hillside, before letting go of Lucy's hand, and she proceeded to walk down the dark brown steps of the wooden staircase to reach the sand. Upon feeling the heat waves from the sun and the hotness of the sand beneath her feet, Mai sighed nicely before walking away from the staircase to get herself somewhat close to the shore that was mainly covered in sand. Mai proceeded to just take off her purple crop top and her dark violet yoga pants, along with her orchid purple shoes.
Mai was now left in a bikini top that appeared to be in a royal shade of purple, and her bikini bottom was black on the left side while the right side was in the color of fuchsia pink. She felt Lucy kiss back while watching her close her eyes, and Mai soon broke the kiss to get started on building a cute little sandcastle with Lucy. As Mai slid out from under Lucy to crawl on to the hot sand, she began to gather up a small amount of sand. As Mai built the base of the structure, she tried to create a small bridge of sand that would be meant to connect with Lucy's half of the sandcastle. Lucy crawled over to help her with building the sandcastle, smiling at how she could gather hot sand and wet sand to create a sand building that would align with the bridge, but Mai turned her head away from Lucy for a moment to just glance at her girlfriend's white skirt that had a valuable treasure in a pocket. Lucy was too occupied with smiling at the bridge of sand that could help the towers connect for her to notice Mai's faint scheming smile of how she really loved that Lucy would be the bridge for her to step over as a way to get that treasure, and the feeling of satisfaction made its way into Mai's eyes as she thought about the next place to see on this date with Lucy.
Three hours later, on a bridge...
After they were finished with building the sandcastle and got their clothes back on, Mai and Lucy left the beach. Since Mai felt like their time at the beach was done, she took Lucy to the Magnolia Train Station for them to go sightseeing in the somewhat far-off town of Kōhī. Kōhī Town was a place that interestingly had a large bridge made from mocha brown bricks that matched the caramel brown wood railings as one of its main attractions, due to how the view from the bridge was rumored to be extremely beautiful, and Mai interestingly took in the view from the bridge with the girl who she viewed as a bridge to getting closer to her goal.
Mai slipped one of her hands into Lucy's skirt pocket, her hand lightly resting there for her fingers to just feel the items that were in the pocket, and the girl who had dark auburn hair began to smile in a happy manner from how she managed to feel the hardness of the Celestial Fragment. That gem was something Mai could definitely sell to a jeweler when it was officially in her possession, but she felt very glad to at least now literally have it in her grasp. Of course, slightly touching the treasure didn't mean that Mai could just forcefully take it out of Lucy's skirt pocket right now.
Lucy would easily be able to feel when someone was attempting to steal from her, and Mai didn't want Lucy to have a disgusted perception of her while they were both still students at Magnolia Academy. After all, Mai's reputation would be ruined if she was known to have been the seemingly innocent, popular, and nice third-year girl who stole from a first-year student. Mai didn't need other students spreading bad rumors about her, especially not any first-year students who could make those rumors persist during their years at Magnolia Academy, and Mai enjoyed making Lucy think that they truly were a great couple.
When the time for lunch at Magnolia Academy would come around, Mai always made Lucy sit with her and other third-year students who were in Mai's clique. Making Lucy feel like she was part of that social group was something Mai deemed to be necessary, since it did make Lucy be easier to manipulate. In fact, Mai felt like it would be pretty easy to manipulate Lucy right now. She got her hand out of Lucy's pocket, before seeing a girl with mint green eyes and long hair in the jungle shade of green walk in their direction, and Mai wasted no time with firmly putting her hand back into Lucy's pocket while resting her head on Lucy's shoulder. Upon seeing Mai's sudden actions and feeling herself be pulled into a romantic hug, Lucy blushed light pink while seeming very curious.
"Mai, what are you doing? Is our view really that romantic?" Lucy asked her girlfriend in a calm tone while proceeding to look down at Mai's face.
Those questions only made Mai explain in a stern tone, narrowing her eyes and sounding protective after the stranger walked far enough away to be out of earshot, "The view is very nice, Lucy, but that green-haired girl was totally eyeing your skirt's pockets while she walked towards us. Unfortunately for that thief, she won't rob you with me around."
"Wow, Mai! Thank you so much for not letting her steal my money, or even my personal treasure. You're the most caring girlfriend who anyone would be blessed to have!" Lucy replied with a very happy smile on her face, before hugging Mai and looking delighted at how Mai was even being trustworthy on an anniversary day.
As Lucy ended the hug, she felt very grateful to Mai for being such a wonderful person. She looked into her girlfriend's eyes, seeing them have calmness while Mai's relaxed expression made Lucy feel like they definitely had good chemistry with each other. Their attitudes of looking out for each other made Lucy's heart start to beat with feelings of immense love, as Mai wanted to be physically close to her while they could be more than just friends or even girlfriends. From Lucy's perspective, Mai was probably the person who she needed to spend the rest of her life with.
Even though the rest of their lives was a different amount of time than just four months of dating, Lucy viewed Mai as a very good and trustworthy person. Those qualities were factors in why Lucy felt an attraction to her during their first month of getting to know each other, along with how Mai also had such a beautiful appearance. The fact that she was one of the most gorgeous girls in Magnolia Academy even caused Lucy to feel grateful to be going out with someone who seemed perfect, but Lucy started to only have a soft smile from starting to realize that a seemingly amazing person still probably had something that they personally felt to really need improvement.
Lucy looked at Mai's clothing, before looking at her beautiful face, and Mai watched Lucy twiddle her thumbs. She gently twiddled them as she blushed in a timid manner, wondering if she would be asking an inoffensive question to her girlfriend, but turning away from the view of the forest below the bridge to look at Mai only made the older girl start to become quite curious. She watched Lucy start to open her mouth like she wanted to ask something important, only for her romantic feelings and shyness not make the words come out, and Mai decided to gently stroke Lucy's blonde hair as a way to calmly make her be less nervous.
"Mai, would you... be happy if I bought you a new outfit?" Lucy asked her girlfriend with a somewhat timid look on her face, still blushing from her romantic and shy feelings.
Upon hearing the question, Mai had a sweet smile on her face and replied cutely, "Lucy, I'd love to get some new clothes. In fact, I was thinking of buying something fashionable today. It's so sweet that you're thinking about our shared interest in fashion, cutie. It's just one of the things that's always keeping me very attracted to you."
"That's great to hear, Mai. We can go get the clothes soon, but let's keep enjoying this nice view from the bridge for a few more minutes." Lucy responded happily, before speaking in a calmer tone of voice.
As Lucy chose to enjoy the view of the forest and the view of some other grassy hills in Fiore, she held hands with Mai. Holding her girlfriend's hand was something that made Lucy feel like she needed to suppress a squeal of delight, as her mind started to think about Mai's words pertaining to how she was always feeling very attracted to Lucy. The idea of buying clothes together and trying them on like a great pair of girlfriends caused Lucy to feel immense happiness at how her fun activities with Mai always made her girlfriend be so interested, and Lucy was glad about that.
If Lucy ever viewed Mai to be feeling unhappy on a date with her or be feeling unhappy about other issues, then Lucy would try very hard to make Mai feel happy. From Lucy's perspective, she was doing the right thing by treating Mai like a wonderful queen who needed to be kept happy. Mai once had an issue where the town's coffee shop was out of her favorite flavor of the beverage, so Lucy chose to be like a mere princess who was doing a favor for the beautiful queen who ranked above her. After all, seeing an academy upperclassmen Mai have such a panicked face during that incident with tears in her pleading eyes really made Lucy want to make sure that her girlfriend could experience feelings of joy to balance out experiences of feeling sadness.
The fact that Mai now felt joy from how Lucy would buy her clothes really made Lucy happily smile, and she started to walk away from the bridge's railing. Mai walked right beside Lucy, and she held her hand in a gentle manner. Mai even caressed Lucy's palm, causing the blonde-haired girl to cutely giggle while closing her eyes, and Mai started to smirk in a rude manner for a brief moment at how her plan for seducing Lucy was coming along nicely. In fact, she only started to smile with immense optimism in her facial expression from wondering how things would get better after buying some new clothes.
10 minutes later, at a clothing store...
When Mai arrived at the town's clothing store with Lucy, she smiled happily while they entered the brown and rectangular building. Mai took notice of how the building's interior had caramel brown walls to match the plain brown carpeting. Mai watched people get some T-shirts and dresses off of brown racks while other people were simply checking out shelves containing shoes on the left side of the store, and she decided to quickly walk towards the racks that were close to some fitting rooms on the right side of the store.
Upon reaching those racks of clothes that were all organized neatly, Mai started looking through the rack for crop tops that she could wear in casual settings. She moved some brightly-colored crop tops aside to pick out one that was in the onyx shade of black, and Mai liked how it seemed to be in her size. Mai also found some onyx black panties on an underwear rack, which caused her to joyfully smile. Mai smiled more from how she also found some black leather booty shorts on the nearby rack, before checking out a rack that featured stockings from the previous season's fashion trends. Black stockings with lace on their tops were on this particular rack, prompting Mai to pick up the hanger that kept the clothes on the rack, and Mai walked towards the other racks that were slightly closer to the fitting rooms.
One of the racks that had been near the fitting rooms simply had bras on hangers, and Mai chose to pick out a dark violet bra with lacy edges. It even looked big enough to cover her breasts, which caused Mai's cheeks to blush light pink, and she would gladly try it on in one of the fitting rooms. As Mai kept inching towards those fitting rooms, she soon found a beautiful corset top that had laces in the back. The dress even had some flower petals forming the shapes of black roses on the shoulders of the dress, and there were also amethyst purple flower petals forming the shape of a rose in the center of the corset.
Mai's eyes soon became filled with the feeling of delight from seeing the corset, since she was liking how it seemed very fashionable. Mai took the corset off of the hanger, before stacking it on top of the other items that she wanted to purchase, and Mai wasted no time with putting the stack down to check out the shoe shelves that were on the other end of the store. When Mai got to that section of the store, she noticed that some violet high-heeled shoes were on the lowest shelf. Mai got them off of the shelf to see that they interestingly had the emblem of Sabertooth Academy on the fronts of them in a royal purple color, and she also looked inside the shoes to see that they were the right size for her feet. Now that Mai felt like she picked out the right shoes, she headed back towards the fitting rooms. She ended up seeing a woman with short and crimson red hair enter the only fitting room that seemed to be vacant, causing Mai to start looking disappointed, but getting closer to the fitting rooms allowed Mai to hear the somewhat loud sound of a hairbrush going through someone's hair made Mai feel quite curious to see why someone wouldn't only use the fitting room to change their clothes.
"Excuse me, but are you trying on clothes or trying out new hairstyles in there?" Mai asked the person in the fitting room while getting closer to the sound of the hairbrush, positioning herself in front of the door on the far left.
The woman replied to Mai in a calm tone, as she groaned from the difficulties of brushing her hair, "Please just hold on a moment! The knots.. won't all come out!"
"Maybe you should come out and go to the salon for them to handle it quickly! Unlike them, I don't like time being wasted." Mai responded in an impatient tone with rudeness in her voice, sounding and looking authoritative with one of her feet even tapping against the carpet in a stern manner.
"Mai, what's the rush?" Lucy asked her in a calm tone while walking up to the situation, her hands holding Mai's stack of clothing that she picked out.
Before Mai could even think about trying to make up a good lie to tell Lucy, the girl in the fitting room opened the door to let Mai see that the long pink hair flowing down to her hips had several tangled knots that wouldn't easily be undone. The sight of several large knots in her long hair made Mai attempt to strongly resist her urge to chuckle, putting her hands over her mouth from how the sight of many tangles in someone's hair seemed like a very funny misfortune for them, and Mai tried to shift her eyes to the girl's clothes. The customer's plain pink T-shirt and fuchsia pink skirt with ruffles were seemingly very fashionable, but they still didn't make up for that girl's disaster with her hair.
As she hurriedly went to pay for her outfit that was in a brown shopping bag, Mai now had that girl's fitting room all to herself for a few minutes. She proceeded to put her hand on the swinging door, which prevented the grey outside lock from clicking back in place, and Mai pushed it all the way back. Lucy walked towards the fitting room to just hand Mai all of the clothes that she planned to buy for her, and she nicely smiled from seeing Mai gently take the clothes. Mai put them on the dark brown bench, and she watched Lucy close the door to give her some privacy.
Lucy stayed outside the fitting room while hearing Mai gently take off her shirt, and she began to blush again from recognizing the sound of Mai taking off her yoga pants. The sounds of her bra being unhooked came next, followed by her underwear lightly hitting the carpet. Lucy soon heard Mai kicking her shoes off her feet for them to loudly hit the door, and that sound was interestingly followed by the soft sound of Mai putting on her bra. She softly groaned while acting like the bra was a bit tight, and she also let out a soft groan from getting her ass to fit in her black panties. Mai thought that the shoes would also be tight, but she giggled happily from being able to easily put them on without any issues. The shoes weren't her last item to try on, but Mai pushed open the door for a moment to just flaunt her body for Lucy.
"Don't I look sexy, Lucy?" Mai asked her girlfriend before playfully smiling, her cheeks softly blushing pink as she leaned forward to let her breasts bounce.

"Oh, really? Then, why don't we pay for these clothes soon as just get back to your place already?" Mai initially asked Lucy in a curious tone, before asking her second question in a pouty tone with pleading eyes and a finger gently against her lips in a somewhat cute, yet seductive manner while lightly moving her hips to wiggle her big butt.
Upon hearing Mai ask that last question, Lucy felt her face warm up with her cheeks blushing pink. She wasn't entirely blushing because of the question, though. The fact that Mai could even make the act of asking some questions sound very seductive made Lucy start to think about how Mai was a very flirty girlfriend, and she thought that Mai was probably acting flirtatious as a way to possibly elicit positive reactions from Lucy. Her flirty actions would always be well-received by Lucy, since she was mostly being loving and playful without being over-the-top with seeming sexy.
Lucy felt like her girlfriend's sexiness needed some cuteness to balance it out, though, and her eyes soon caught sight of a certain accessory that was being sold at the counter. Lucy proceeded to walk towards the counter where the accessory was being displayed in different colors while all of its variants were in a square glass case, and she took notice of how the price for one of the accessories was only five-hundred jewels. Lucy took out that small amount of cash from her skirt's pocket, and she watched the pink-haired customer from earlier finish up with paying for her clothes.
After that girl paid for her clothes and left the line, Lucy strolled up to the counter with a nice smile on her face. She glanced at the items in the glass case, before taking out a pink one from its spot in the case, and Lucy handed the money to the female cashier. She handed her the cute item, before the cashier pressed some buttons on the cash register to officially total up the price, and the item was soon put in a cocoa brown bag for Lucy. She gently got the bag off the counter, before turning around to see Mai hastily walking towards her while now wearing her original outfit again. Mai held all of the components of her new outfit in a neat stack, and she quickly joined Lucy at the counter. Mai handed the clothes and shoes to the cashier, and that made Lucy pull out at least 7,000 jewels from her skirt's pocket. Lucy felt glad that she could pay for Mai's clothes, as well as the cute gift, and seeing Mai briefly give her a sultry look made Lucy blush again from how Mai seemed like she wanted to somehow repay Lucy when they got back to her apartment.
How was Chapter 2? This second chapter of the prologue is continuing to develop the LuMai pairing, since Lucy's genuine feelings towards Mai are being displayed while Mai is just pretending to love Lucy. Their anniversary date seems to be going smoothly, especially with how Lucy wants Mai to be happy while Mai makes Lucy feel like they can trust each other. However, Mai will definitely pay Lucy back in an interesting way for taking her to the clothing store on their four-month anniversary. She still has her eyes on the Celestial Fragment, though. I'll update as soon as possible. :)
