The clerk handed cole his change as cole was putting the clothes he bought in his new duffle bag the clerk looked at cole before speaking "look sir I don't know if you work but if you need work I know this place is hiring as long as you don't have a felony on your record and you can be nice to any customers that come in.

Cole really wished he could say yes to this job but realized that the lack of any record was gonna cause issues so he came up with a lie on the fly "I actually do work I'm a bike messenger that's why I grabbed this bike because my old one was sacrificed to the flame gods in my apartment. The clerk smiled at the joke before saying I wish you good luck on finding a new apartment then. The library is on state street if you need to do some computer research looking for apartments

Cole thanked the clerk then left the building and got on his bike at first when cole started riding the bike he felt that the world was going to crash around him again that he might just be living a pipe dream thinking he could just re-enter society it was then that Trish and his conversation came to mind again and the promise he made to at least try again to be the person she knew he could be.

It was at that moment that he found the library which just so happened to be close to the shop he left and decided that the clerk was right in a way he needed to do some research which led cole and happy go lucky self to walk into a library with his bike before walking up to a computer and sitting.

It didn't take Cole long to figure out the new computer engines and start searching things like the prt or jobs he could get without a background check. Cole also checked out to see if he didn't get launched to the far future and maybe his talk with Trish was just a dream. Only to confirm that it was around the same time but surprisingly a few months in the past at least it was for him.

It was Sunday, April 10 2011 5:13 pm the date Cole remembered was June 17, 2011. But that all didn't matter because he was in a different reality. Cole spent a long time researching and found that he wasn't the only one who was from a parallel world; others were brought here against their will and had no memories of themselves, only random movies and skills.

After a while, the librarian told cole the library was closing soon and he needed to leave to which cole told the librarian he would leave after printing out something. the librarian told cole it cost 10 cents per piece of paper he was printing and Cole said it was fine. After printing off the directions and other useful information Cole handed 2 quarters to the librarian and told her to keep the change.

It was 8:30 pm by the time Cole left the library. According to the directions, it would take 30 minutes by bike to get to the homeless shelter, and Cole wasn't siked to go to the homeless shelter because it made him feel like he couldn't get a job or be a member of society and in Cole's eyes that couldn't be less true.

Cole knew that he could easily go the hero route with the Protectorate and get paid a fair some but that also meant that he would have to blindly trust others in this world and Cole thought knowing his luck he might encounter a person who needs help sooner than later and he knew that he would help.

Cole decided for now that he would get something to eat near the homeless shelter then check the place out and see if he really wanted to stay there or maybe go find something else. It was 9:15 by the time Cole got close to the shelter. So Cole decided it was now time to get some food. When Cole looked around for another 10 minutes to find food he only encountered 2 open places. The first one looked like a McDonalds' reject and the second one was a place called Lenny's pizza.

Cole decided pizza was good enough for now so he parked his pike outside the window and walked into the pizza place. Behind the counter was a teenage female between 16 to 18 and she had a smile on her face but to Cole, it was obvious it was painted on that good ole customer service smile but in the end, Cole didn't worry cause he was starving he had not eaten 3 days before the fight against the beast as well.

Cole ordered 3 large pizzas with cheese, pepperoni, and mushrooms and a large 2 litter of Dr. Mountain. The girl behind the counter with the name tag madison told him it would be about 45 dollars for his order and would take about 30 minutes to which Cole said he would wait outside for the food and come in and pay when it was ready.

After about 15 minutes of standing outside Cole was getting a bit bored he had been told that he needed to heal but felt fine so he decided that draining some power from the transformer down the road was fine as long as no one seen him. Cole got to the transformer in less than a minute with his good fitness. As cole reached into the skies he pulled on the electricity that he felt and that's when a flood of memories came to him.

It was like absorbing a blast core except for the powers he saw in his memories were all different they involved fire, ice, and being able to teleport anywhere as long as it was thunderstorming. It was insane he knew that in this state he must be hovering in the air absorbing the electricity so he pulled on his ability as fast as he could to finish the effect only to be hit with a feeling of fullness and needing to take a rest.

It wasn't till cole hit the ground that he realized he had never felt this great. It felt like his strength had increased by 10 fold and he could feel all these powers that he knew were now his. Cole spoke holy shit when I activated the ray force inhibitor because I was holding it transferred their powers over to me before sending me here.

This meant that he was going to have to absorb a lot more often to get his body use to its new reserves and the good news is that he was now aware that his powers were now at a new limit cole was not sure how high it was now but what he did know was it was a lot greater.

Cole got back to the pizza place ready to chow down when he saw the teenager looking at him pissed before she spoke I don't know what you were doing but our store closes at 11 pm and I stayed open 15 minutes past close waiting for you because I can't afford to pay for this out of my own pocket' Cole gave her an intriguing look before saying 'i was gone over an hour' madison responded yeah so you better pay because I need to go home or ill miss curfew.

Cole pulled out his wad of money and handed her 60 dollars and said 'i'm sorry I guess I got really invested in the sky for a while keep the change' cole took his pizza and went outside to grab his bike and roll it down the street before stopping near a building. And scaling the fire escape. For some reason, Cole wanted to eat on the roof and see the stars.

He loved the stars in this reality they were a lot more prevalent and the atmosphere seemed to be a purple color at night which was amazing. It made the pizza taste better to Cole. it wasn't too long afterword that he heard movement below him in the building before hearing a door open followed by lots of movement.

Cole quickly got curious and moved to the edge of the building to hear and see what was going on. It was at the moment that he heard a roaring voice as he looked down he saw 10 men dressed similarly following a man who was massive wearing a mask he had tattoos and his men all had firearms. It was at that moment that he noticed what seemed to be teenagers in costume; they had no weapons.

Cole sat at the edge of the rooftop and listened as the large man talked to his men before turning to the kids and saying kill the children who are in my way. It was at that moment that Cole flung himself off the roof and blue electricity surrounded him. When cole hit the ground he had a smile on his face as he spoke 'oh kill the kids you say why don't you just try. As soon as those words were spoken the members yelled shit cape before Cole started shooting electric bolts.

It wasn't long before the man with the dragon mask was the only bad guy left and he looked pissed but yet Cole still smiled and spoke. Look here goliath why don't you get on your hands and knees so I don't have to send you to the hospital and smile while doing it. When cole said that the dragon masked man went into a rage and started spewing fire at him to which cole laughed.

When the fire hit cole it was absorbed and slowly coles eyes started turning red and cole spoke you moron fire fuels me. Lung looked shocked for a moment till the moment cole decided to try out a new movement which he decided to call firebird to strike his body full of fire shot into the air for a moment before shooting down on top of the dragon mask knocking him on to the ground and exploding, the explosion was enough to stun the dragon mask while cole switch his power to electric cuffs and restrained him to the ground.

It took a moment for Cole's hell angel flame to die on him and for him to turn back to normal, after he was back to normal cole turned around to see the 4 kids still standing there. The girl with brown hair spoke first and said holy shit that was pretty awesome.

Cole smiled before responding 'im just helping those who need help just be lucky I was in the area and that ill deal with whatever cops show up. The girl looked to her friends and said we are the group known as the undersiders who are you. Cole thought for a moment remembering the rules he read about called the unwritten rules and that it was sus to give his real name even if he doesn't exist.

So Cole made his hero name what the scientist called him. 'People call me the Prime Conduit' after Cole said that the girl looked over her shoulder and said to her friends we need to go now a protectorate cape will be here soon. Cole readjusted his bag and made sure to shock cuff everyone in the five minutes it took for the undersiders to pack up and leave.

The only thing that really bothered Cole was that there were these bugs that kept flying in front of him or land on him it was becoming so annoying that he almost activated his fire portion of his powers to keep them at bay. But eventually, they left him alone and went to explore the nearby area to which he wondered why suddenly they got the message.

A man in a strange outfit appeared on the scene dressed like a power ranger the blue one to be exactly as he looked around he seemed to finally set his eyes on Cole before speaking 'did you do this the man said this in a very aggressive tone cole gave the man an interesting look before speaking ' that's how you are going to speak to someone who put his life on the line to save someone. I didn't even kill each I tazed them eached and made them fall asleep before cuffing them with my electric cuffs'.

Cole continued I've heard this city needs more heroes but no the first thing you do when you see criminals in cuffs is giving me an attitude. The blue power ranger just stared at him while cole sat waiting for a responce
