CHAPTER 1

PROLOGUE

A/N

Hey guys

Here is the first chapter .I hope it is good. I was thinking about naming this chapter, but then i decided to roll with the prologue since it's not gonna have much of anruto in it ,just the origin of ' THE LEGEND' as I dubbed it. I wont use much Author notes unless I have annoucements or any changes to the plot. Anyway hope you like it.

A late night in the outskirts of a village, known as Konoha, a blonde haired man run through the thick forest holding a baby. He comes face to face with a huge fox with nine tails.

"I will not let you seal me again Yondaime" the fox snarled at the human, now identified as the Yondaime Hokage of Konoha. "I'm sorry kyubi, but you are too great a threat for us to let you leave just like that, you have to deal with it" the Yondaime said to the fox as it is held back by chains.

Just as he was about to perform the jutsu to seal the kyubi inside his son, he heard footsteps and turned to see the Sandaime, Sarutobi Hiruzen.
"Minato are you… You are going to seal the fox in your son aren't you?" Sarutobi frowned.

"This is the only way, and I know my son can finally use its power for good, I trust him Sarutobi sensei". Minato replied while smiling at his newborn son. He shed a few tears since he won't be able to see him grow in to a great man. Such is the duty of a shinobi, to endure for Konoha. He just hopes his son be seen as the hero he is for holding the nine-tails at bay, as its prison.

Sarutobi noticed the contemplative look on Minato's face "Yes …it is the only way, but let me do it" Sarutobi stated, leaving Minato shocked. He continued "oh don't look at me like that I've grown old, had a lot of battles and did all I can as the Hokage. It's your turn Minato, I've had enough battles to rest in peace….Well the last one is waiting for me."

Sarutobi took child from his successor and asked "What are you going to name him? I'd like to know your child's name". Minato gave solemn look and said "Me and Kushina wanted to name him Naruto".

The Sandaime chuckled "Naruto huh? From my Student's first book 'The tale of the gutsy ninja' .I would say he would live up to the name just like the character from the book". 'I hope you can bring peace to this world and end this cycle of hatred Kiddo.'
Minato smiled and took one last look at his predecessor. Everything went Black after that.

Minato slowly opened his eyes to a white ceiling. He groggily sat up on the hospital bed and recalled what happened before he blacked out. Immediately he tried to sit and search for his son, but his body felt sore and he sat back on the bed.

"Whoa! Sensei sit back you're still exhausted from last night. The doctors said your muscles will soar for some time."Minato heard his student's (Kakashi Hatake) voice from his bedside.

He turned and took a quick look at him and asked "What happened? How are Naruto and Kushina-chan?"

"After Sandaime sealed the kyubi inside Naruto he died. At that point when me and a few other ANBU came and saw Naruto next to you. You were unconscious. So we took you both to the hospital. Naruto is fine and the seal is also perfectly stable .Both Naruto and Nee-san are in the bed next to you."Kakashi stated as both of them turn to look at Kushina sleeping peacefully one the bed. Next to her and near Minato in a cradle, Naruto is seen to be sleeping peacefully.

"Pfft….he takes after me doesn't he? In his looks. Kushina might have to face off a lot of fan girls Hahaha" Minato chuckled. Kakashi also smiled while laughing, seeing his sensei happy.

Kushina stirred and started waking up. She opened her eyes and looked around. Minato saw this and moved slowly to sit beside her on her bed.
"Hey good morning Kushina-chan." Minato helped her to sit up a little .She looked at him and smiled…. And bonked him on his head saying "Don't scare me like that, Dattebane!"

Minato gripped his head and let out a groan "itai….That hurts Kushina-chan." He rubbed the spot where she hit "I'm sorry for scaring you like that. But I had to do something otherwise kyubi would have destroyed this village. Sarutobi sensei came by and did the seal instead of me. Everything is alright now. Naruto is sleeping there .Let me bring him to you."

He went to the cradle and slowly lifted his firstborn and brought him to his wife .Kushina slowly took Naruto in her arms and looked at him with a fond smile ,As he opened his eyes to look at his parents. This is their son, Namikaze Uzumaki Naruto.
After a while of cuddling with their son and whispering sweet words to him, both Kushina and Naruto started feeling sleepy. So they set Naruto in his cradle to let him sleep. Kushina also started to sleep.

Minato and Kakashi started talking about what happened the night of the kyubi attack and what will be said to the civilians. After a lot of talking and arguments they settled on telling them that an unknown person took control of the kyubi and started attacking Konoha after which with the combined efforts of Minato and the Sandaime the kyubi was contained though the assailant has escaped. They just hoped the people see Naruto for the hero he is for carrying such a big burden.

After they were discharged the family of three went to their home to take a long rest after everything that happened. They went to their room and laid the baby in the cradle they bought beforehand.

They used the restroom to freshen up before lying down on the bed snuggling close to each other. They recalled how the toad and the slug Sannin were smitten with Naruto and how happy they were to know the two of them along with the baby were alright.

"We will be able to see him grow ,right?" Kushina said with tears of joy. "Hai….we will .He is going to grow up to be a great man. And we will be there every step of the way to make sure he has the best life possible". He chuckled a bit and added "And teach him how to deal with fan girls, cause he definitely got the looks from me". Kushina frowned a bit "I will kill those little twerps if they try to do anything to our Naru-chan". God the look she gave sent shivers through his spine. 'Poor Little girls, if there is one thing I learned marrying her, is that you don't mess with the red-hot habanero of Konoha'

They both then fell into a deep slumber. After that emotional ride of the day How will the future look for our infant hero. What kind of adventures is he to expect in the future .
