Hello everyone, here is another chapter for my Justice League story. As stated this will be a harem story with some of the girls still in debate as to who they will be. Suggestions are welcome if you wish to DM me who you would like to see before I make any final decision. I might change some origin stories, and this chapter does explain a bit about my character Steve Silva aka Azure Frost.

"What is this place?" asked Azure as they followed Superman.
"Somewhere it's been leading him", said Batman looking down to see all the destroyed military vehicles that lead up to a base up in the mountains.
Batman landed on a clear spot near the base as both heroes surveyed their surrounding at the destruction caused by Kryptonian.
"Hey Bats, if this thing might be controlling Superman, how do you know it's not controlling me or my actions in some way?" asked Azure looking around at the destruction.
"I don't, but that doesn't mean I'm not prepared", said Batman walking towards the base.
"Let's go", ordered Batman leading Azure through a hole punched by Superman as they heard a distant banging coming from deep inside. They followed the trail of holes in Superman's wake when they came upon a room filled with white and red cocoons containing humans inside.
"Are they…"
"No, they're in some kind of stasis, but that doesn't mean they're not dying. The creatures need them alive to keep their copied forms, but once their usefulness is over…" trailed off Batman with Azure knowing what he was saying.
"This way. The sounds are coming from over here", ordered Batman leading the younger hero closer a large banging sound when they finally came upon Superman pounding against a giant metal door that was slowly giving in to his strength.
Batman threw a batarang near Superman getting his attention as he prepared himself with mist emitting from his hands in case things led to a physical confrontation, "Hold it Superman! Destroying government property isn't your style! What's going on?"
"Why don't you see for yourself?" asked Superman lifting up the dented metal door, threw it to the side leading to a room filled with monitor equipment. The three heroes entered when he destroyed another door leading up to what appeared to a green humanoid creature with bright solid orange eyes. He was being restrained by large metal machinery holding his arms and head in place.
"What is it?" asked Batman
"And should we be concerned?" asked Azure flexing his wings and hands ready for a fight.
"Mankind's only hope", said Superman shocking them both as he released the humanoid alien. The humanoid feeling weak nearly fainted to the ground before Superman caught him.
Azure looked at him hearing faint whispers in his head similar to those of his dreams, "Wait, I know you", said Azure
"He's been trying to reach out to us telepathically, but that stasis field interfered. When his message finally broke through, I came to rescue him", explained Superman helping the humanoid up.
"With us in tow as his backup. Bats, we're the cavalry in this rescue operation", said Azure looking at Batman realizing what all this meant.
"That's all well and good, but what's he doing here?" asked Batman glaring at them both.
'The invasion', said the creature telepathically to all three of them shocking Batman, 'I came to warn you, but I was captured and imprisoned here. They wouldn't listen.'
"Big surprise", said Batman glaring at the alien.
'I sense you do not trust me', said the alien.
"That's the biggest understatement of the year, but I can't blame him either. Considering what's happening anyone can be an enemy in disguise as a friend", said Azure.
'Perhaps this will help', said the alien shifting his form into a more human-like shape with a black clothing, a long blue cape, and a large red X straps on his chest. Batman and Azure stepped back in shock with Azure creating ice Sais while getting in a defensive stance with his wings flaring up behind him.
"Please, do not be alarmed. I am J'onn J'onzz", said J'onn extending his hand with both heroes hesitant to take it.
"Don't take it personally J'onn. He doesn't trust anyone, and it looks like his new protégé is learning in his footsteps", said Superman.
"A wise policy", said J'onn.
"Whoa, whoa, I'm not his sidekick or the next Robin. I'm-"
"A Cryovian. I thought I sensed another strong mind, but you don't look like the typical Cryovian that I know of", said J'onn shocking Azure.
"Y-You know what I am?" asked Azure shocked at hearing what he just said.
"I see, you're a hybrid. The blood of a Cryovian carried by that meteor all those years ago-"
J'onn was suddenly interrupted when an ice sword manifested quickly with the tip near his throat. Azure clenched his fist in slight anger and frustration with the young hero trying to control his breathing, "Get out of my head. Those are private."
"Forgive me, my people normally communicate telepathically. We never had the need to verbally communicate despite having the capability to do so", explained J'onn as Azure destroyed his ice sword construct drooping his wings behind him.
"Please ask for permission next time. Humans don't exactly like it whenever someone enters their consciousness and start looking around", said Azure glaring at J'onn.
"Noted", said J'onn.
"So far, you've actually managed to barely impress me", said Batman leading the group outside.
"I swear, I can't figure out if he's complementing me or insulting me. The man likes to be his own enigma. I'm actually starting to pity the Robins and Batgirl because of him", muttered a frustrated Azure.
"You get used to it. Azure Frost is it? Pleasure to meet you", chuckled Superman extending his hand.
Azure looked at his hand still weary that Superman could still be mind-controlled by the alien they just released, "Pleasure's all mine. You've been an inspiration for me ever since I got my own powers", said Azure slowly shaking his hand, but still felt a bit star struck that he was meeting his hero up close and personal.
The group of four managed to exit the building into the open area, "We need to contact the Joint Chiefs right away."
BANG
The group of four stopped when a large light shined in front of their face blinding them until they were surrounded by US Troops with their weapons aimed at them, "Stop right there Superman! You're trespassing in a restricted area! Our orders are to keep that freak here!" ordered the General pointing at J'onn.
"Wait! I'll vouch for him! You must let us go!" said Superman standing in front of J'onn.
"Didn't they get here a little too quickly for a base up in the mountains?" whispered Azure to them with Batman glaring at the soldiers.
"General, please! The world's security may be at stake!" said Superman.
"Something tells me it already is", said Azure shooting an ice beam at the General's weapon knocking it off his hand.
"Looks like none of you are leaving here alive then", said the General as they all shifted into the same white slime alien preparing their weapons when Azure created a large ice wall just as they started their barrage.
"Did any of you even notice the alien tech in their hands when they stopped us?! Come on people that's like Gamer Strategy 101: Know what your opponent has! Not one word out of you Bats!" said Azure interrupting Batman before he could say anything when they notice that his ice wall was slowly starting to crack, "That's not gonna hold much longer."
"Move!" ordered Superman as he lifted a truck only to be blasted back after destroying the ice wall.
"Get down!" ordered Batman throwing a batarang that detonated creating a large explosion knocking back several aliens.
Azure created several swords in midair and fired them at several aliens exploding them into rapid icicles exploding the aliens from the inside out. He phased through some of the laser fire and encased a couple in ice as he phased through them.
"Look out!" said J'onn phasing through Batman just as he was about to throw another batarang. J'onn used his psychic energy to deflect a blast back at the alien, but also wounding J'onn.
"J'onn!" yelled Batman holding him up when Superman appeared covering them with a tank he was lifting.
"Go! I'll cover you!" said Superman throwing the tank with Azure standing next to him breathing out an icy wind freezing as many aliens as he could in the process.
Batman managed to put J'onn into his jet and took off into the sky. Superman and Azure followed behind keeping up with the jet when they notice a large squadron of alien ships firing at them.
The heroes quickly scattered with several ships following each of them. Azure circled around turning intangible making sure each ship managed to hit each other when he shot an ice beam at the engine of a third ship taking it down along with a fourth ship it hit.
Superman flew through several alien ships that were tailing Batman's jet when another hit him with its lasers knocking him into the mountain.
Batman maneuvered his jet through a tight canyon managing to destroy some enemy ships in the process. He managed to pull up just before hitting a wall trying his best to lose the ships that managed to survive when one of them blew up one of the wings off his jet. He tried his best to glide his jet when Azure arrived blowing out the fire with his icy breath and was about to phase them out when he was blasted off by an enemy ship. Batman kept trying to avoid the canyon wall, but he was spiraling out of control when a large green sphere stopped them in midair.
"What happened?" asked Batman.
"Help has arrived", said J'onn looking up to see a rugged, dark skin man with bright green eyes, short black hair cut in a military style, and was wearing a black suit with green trimmings around his wrist and neck, green boots, and had what appeared a green lantern like symbol on his chest.
The enemy ships started shooting at the newcomer when a woman with large wings wearing a yellow bustier top, red short shorts with black leggings, a hawk-like mask covering her face, and holding back her long bright red hair. She lifted up a mace that emitted its own electrical power, and easily destroyed two ships in the process.
"Hawkgirl? What's she doing here?" asked Batman only for J'onn to phase through the cockpit just as the dark skin man moved the jet to a stable cliff.
J'onn, Hawkgirl, and Superman flanked the man while preparing to fight the remaining alien fighters, "Sorry I'm late. There was an uprising near Rigel Nine."
Azure created an ice claymore embedding it into a nearby ship as he swung it around with ease in a perfect circle, ripping off the top, and shot an ice beam inside making the ship spontaneously explode with icicles piercing from inside random parts of the ship.
"Friend of yours, I'm assuming?"
"Never seen him before", said Hawkgirl.
Azer body glowed as he managed to launch two of the large icicles into two other ships easily destroying them as he flew off the ship he was on as it crashed into the canyon wall.
"But I like his style", said Hawkgirl smiling as the group disperse taking down more ships.
Hawkgirl destroyed two more ships with her mace when she was suddenly shot down by a third one into a nearby cliff. Hawkgirl weakly lifted herself with several ships closing in on her ready to fire when another woman with a curvaceous figure, and bright blue eyes, appeared wearing a red bustier top with gold trimmings, a blue short shorts with white stars decorated on it, metal bangles on her wrists, a gold tiara with a red star, and a golden lasso at her side.
"Allow me", said the woman just as the ships launched a barrage of lasers at the two women. The newcomer easily deflected the lasers with her metal bangles when she reflected several of its lasers back at the ship causing it to explode and head on a collision course towards them.
The lantern man shot a green energy beam at them creating a shield when the new woman banged her two bangles together creating a large shockwave knocking back the ship and dispersing the green energy shield.
"Whoa! Who's the rookie in the tiara?"
Grunt "I'm not sure", grunted Superman as he grabbed a ship and threw into the canyon wall, "I only met the rookie with the ice powers."
Azure created an ice katana breathing in slowly until his lungs where full, and breathed out a small white mist. He took three deep breaths as he unsheathed his katana concentrating his power extending the blade cutting the ship in half as it exploded behind him, "I didn't think that would actually work, but I'm definitely training more in kendo from now on", muttered Azure to himself while awkwardly laughing unaware of the large red blur that was zooming along the canyon ground until it ran up the wall towards Batman.
"Hey Bats! I think you drop this", said a man in a red bodysuit with yellow lightning shape trims and special boots on his feet with a lightning bolt symbol on his chest. He looked as the other heroes landed where they were, especially at the new woman that recently arrived, "Whoa! Where have you been all my life?"
"Themyscira", said the new woman.
"Paradise Island? It's actually real? The real home of the legendary Amazons?" asked Azure excitedly.
"I always thought it was legend", said Hawkgirl.
"I assure you, it's as real as the ground which we stand. I am Diana, Princess of the Amazons", introduced the woman.
"I have some many questions! The Amazon's were always a favorite myth of mine to study! Is it true that the island has many knowledges from when the Amazons were revered as teachers? Were Amazons stronger than those rumored of Sparta? Do you have any records about the legendary Queen of the Amazons, Hippolyta?" said Azure excitedly.
"My mother?" asked Diana shocking Azure at her question.
"Pinch me, I must be dreaming", the man in the red suit only to be jabbed by Superman.
"Themyscira is protected by the Gods, but I could not sit idly by while the rest of the world is in danger", said Diana.
"It was lucky you showed up when you did", said Superman.
"No, not luck. I telepathically summoned them", said J'onn.
"Look I'm usually quick on the uptake, but would someone please tell me what the heck is going on here?" asked the man in the red suit.
"Flash, I'm assuming right?" asked Azure remembering about hearing rumors of a hero with super speed in Central City.
"Fastest man alive", said Flash cockily making Azure stare at him with a deadpan expression.
"I hope you don't say that to the ladies", muttered Azure.
"Hey!"
"The names John Stewart, Green Lantern of Sector 2814. Pleasure to meet you", said John extending his hand to Azure.
"Azure Frost, nice to meet you too", said Azure shaking his hand.
"You're not from Thanagar are you?" asked Hawkgirl.
"No ma'am, I'm an Earthling, born and raised, since I can't say I'm technically human now", said Azure scratching the back of his head fluttering his wings.
"He's part Cryovian" said J'onn.
"Cryovian?! I thought those were a myth too!" said Hawkgirl shocked at the rookie ice hero.
"You know about them too?" asked Azure.
"Sort of. They were said to be a race of nomadic warrior monks before they settled down on an unknown planet. Cryovians were rumored to be able to control extreme temperatures of heat and cold, and could easily travel through the vacuum of space without the aid of a ship. They were a peaceful race, spreading knowledge and wisdom wherever they went, and were scholars as well hoping to learn as many cultures as they could. The reason they settled down on a planet was to build a library in honor of all the sentient lives they've met and record their knowledge there, but again all this was just a legend", said Hawkgirl.
"I see", said Azure a bit disappointed, but somehow felt happy that he was able to get some answers about his powers and its origin.
"It's even been rumored that Thanagarians are descended from Cryovians because we share a similar biology. I always thought it was too farfetched to be true since we've never encountered one, but now…" trailed off Hawkgirl looking at the confused ice hero as if studying him.
"We can study the process of evolution on different planets another time. Right now we have more pressing matters at hand", said Batman with all of them turning their attention towards J'onn.
"So J'onn J'onzz, you came from Mars to warn us?" asked Diana while Superman and Azure helped weld the broken wing of Batman's jet back in place.
"This is just too weird", said Flash.
"I've seen stranger things", said John.
J'onn explained how Mars was once invaded by the same invaders 1000 Earth years ago. The invaders were fought back by the native Martians for a long time, with the Martians slowly losing ground with each battle they fought. They also learned about the parasitic properties of the invaders on how they can integrate any particular ability a sentient being into themselves thus stealing the Martian's ability to shapeshift. J'onn also explained how a small group of Martians carried out a last ditch assault on the invaders successfully putting them in a suspended animation stasis with a unique nerve gas they developed, but at the cost of his platoon making J'onn the last living Maritain.
"For over 500 years I stood guard over them, but then, while I was in a hibernation cycle, astronauts from Earth unsealed the stronghold citadel accidentally reviving the invaders", said J'onn finishing his story.
"Wait, those astronauts never said anything about finding life on Mars", said Flash.
"Some pencil pusher in Washington probably decided it should be classified information", said John.
"Since the invaders no longer had my people to feed on, they set their sights to Earth. I narrowly escaped, and came here to warn of the coming danger. While I was being held against my will, the invaders sent advance agents to disable Earth's defenses", said J'onn continuing his explanation.
"That's why they sabotaged the deep-space monitoring network. So we couldn't detect their activities", said Batman.
"And the results of our satellite images our Mar's drone experiments the Astrometric Department at Wingull University worked so hard to build. It must've contained some evidence of the battles on Mars before it was erased, and the only surviving remnant was that explosive rock at the museum", said Azure.
"I'm guessing you programed that drone yourself", said Batman.
"Damn right I did, and I slaved over a computer for ages building that code from the ground up with my own two hands. I swear there were times where I felt my feathers were starting to molt from stress", said Azure.
"I know that feeling", said Hawkgirl.
"We've got to stop them before it's too late", said John.
"It may already be too late", said J'onn when off at the distance they could see what appeared to be storm clouds on the horizon.
"What are they doing?" asked Hawkgirl.
"The invaders are nocturnal. They want to blot out the sun so they can live in perpetual darkness", explained J'onn.
"Friends of yours?" joked Flash to Batman.
"It's not a joke", said Batman.
"What's the problem? Can't you whip up more of that nerve gas to stop them?" asked Flash.
"Sadly no. The gas was made from a rare Martian plant. I brought a sample with me, but it was destroyed when I was captured", said J'onn.
"Again, this feels like War of the Worlds with an added twist", muttered Azure.
"Uh…What's plan B?" asked Flash worryingly.
"We'll have to take down those factories", said Diana.
"Lady, this is no job for amateurs", said John.
"Amazons are natural born warriors. Trust me I studied various myths and legend about them in my high school days for a report, and if she is who she says she is, then I definitely want her fighting at my side", said Azure smiling.
"She's not the only rookie here that I'm talking about either", said John.
"Look soldier, I may not have that much combat experience like you, but I've proven I can hold my own with these creatures. Last I checked, the army couldn't put a dent on those things, and I only see one of you with that fancy ring. Now tell me how you're going to fair against an army without anyone who can actually stand up to those things?" said Azure feeling a bit insulted.
"Hmm, A warrior's spirit. I like that", said Diana smiling at him making him blush at her complement.
Ahem "T-Thanks", stuttered Azure making John shake his head.
"Look let's not fight amongst ourselves. John, we're gonna need all the help we can get", said Superman.
"Fine, sorry Your Highness. You better make sure you and the lovebird here can keep up", said John.
Diana was about to say something to him when Azure just stopped her, "Actions tend to speak louder than words. As a soldier he has seen combat, and has experience the loss of comrades so he speaks from experience. He only says these things to show that he will not abode anyone who he thinks will slow him down, and endanger this assault. The only way he'll accept either of us is to show our merit in battle, the way any proud Amazon would as well", smiled Azure with Diana surprised at his words.
"You seem a lot wiser than you look", smiled Diana.
"And you will most definitely become quite an asset in battle. I would be honored to fight alongside an Amazoness such as yourself like the legends of old", said Azure with Diana shaking his hand as they join the group once again.
"Tactically, we'll have multiple objectives. So we'll need to split into teams", said John.
"Dibs on the Amazon" Whoa, said Flash putting his hands around Diana with a surprised look on her face, until he lost his footing and fell down in the snow unaware of Azure freezing the ground he was standing on so he would slip.
Diana looked at him since he was avoiding eye contact from the group until he caught a glimpse of Diana smiling at him knowing what he did as she mouthed words of thanks with his only response being a thumbs up in acknowledgement. John then began to divide the teams as he each explained their roles ready to take back Earth from the parasitic Invaders.
