Enemy to Lover: Bucky/OG: Prompt; "Wanna try that again sweetheart?"

Luna stormed into the compound, not bothering to glance back at the men following her. She knew she needed to run or punch something before she murdered SOMEONE for ruining their mission.

Instead, she marched to her desk and began looking through some of her files. Since she was back at square one, she was going to have to find some new leads. That knowledge only furthered her irritation.

"So, are we not going to talk about the crew of super soldiers?" Torres called out while the other men just stared with disgruntled expressions.

Luna steeled herself, refusing to recognize any of them. It wasn't until someone, no not just someone; the reason she was aggressively crinkling the papers in her hand, slammed his metal arm on her table that she met his eye.

"Anything to add?" Bucky growled, just adding fire to her already boiling blood.

She couldn't help the scowl and sarcastic quip that flew from her lips. Not that she felt the slightest bit of regret since the fucker had been testing her patience since they first met.

"Oh, I hadn't realized that the great James Buchanan Barnes joined our little team, but wait…" She pretended to think before she hissed, "You're not apart of our team. In fact, you're the deadest of the dead weight. You want to know what I have to add?" Her anger only began to flourish as she took in his displeased appearance.

She leaned across the desk and continued in a harsh tone, "You put our entire operation at risk, lost us the only suspect we had, just so you could show off to Walmart Stars and Stripes. So no, I don't have time to play whatever game this is for you because unlike you, I have a job to do which apparently now is cleaning up the mess you've made. You're free to crawl back into whatever iceberg they thawed you from".

Bucky skulled as he crossed his arms, "In case you forgot, I don't take orders from you".

Disbelief finally registered in Luna's brain at the audacity of the man standing in front of her. She flew around the desk, inching as close to his face as she could. With a point to his chest, she barked, "And in case you haven't gotten back the full use of your brain, you weren't supposed to be on this mission. In fact, you're not supposed to be on any mission for that matter. I let you come out of respect for Sam and Steve, but you put my entire squad, my brother and my friend, at risk in addition to countless innocents".

Sam finally cleared his throat as he stepped to Luna. He glanced between the surly duo before he said, "Luna, it wasn't his fault. We weren't prepared for an army of super soldiers".

Luna chuckled without humor as she shifted her attention to her colleague. "Wow Sam, it's almost like we could've pulled back and gotten more information before…" she glowered at Bucky as she finished," we decided to start a fight and let OUR ONLY SOURCE OF INFORMATION RUN OFF WITH TWO TRUCKS OF BOMBS!"

"Take it down princess, we'll find them. People like that don't hide for too long" Bucky retorted much to her chagrin.

Luna stepped closer to him, leaving no room between them. With a grit of her teeth, she challenged "Wanna try that again sweetheart?"

The air surrounding the couple shifted to something dangerous. A simple push could send either of them flying and Sam knew he needed to tread carefully if there was any hope to salvage the situation.

He met the eye of the more rational of the two, pressing a light palm on Luna's shoulder. "Take a walk Torres".

Rage seeped into every pore of her body at his words. She wasn't the one in the wrong here and she wasn't going to be treated like a child. She opened her mouth the chastise Sam, but stopped with her glance to her brother.

He shook his head as if to say, "Not the time".

Instantly her fists released, their aching the only remains of her aggression. She shrugged Sam's hand off then grabbed her files.

Luna had planned to simply leave without word, but the sight of her smarmy enemy cut through that plan.

He was watching her; more like glaring with disinterest. Without thought, she barked, "Maybe you don't have a problem with people dying, but that's not what we do here. The next time you wanna play hero, remember who you are Winter Solider because I surely haven't forgotten".

She didn't bother looking to any of her teammates. Maybe she had crossed a line, but in that moment, she didn't care.

"They can all kiss my ass"

Instead of "taking a walk" as Sam had suggested, she booked it to their training room. She needed to punch something before she exploded. In an instance, she threw down the files and went at the punching bag.

"He could've gotten them all killed", she growled with a slam to her opponent. "And they took his side".

With each combo thrown, she pictured Bucky's face. It didn't make her happy to feel the way that she did, but it was the release she needed after their failed mission.

Luna thought about her brother and how disappointed he had seemed in her. It made her faulter for only a moment before she kicked harshly at the bag.

She hated that she had allowed anyone to make her feel the way Bucky did and that she became someone her brother couldn't be proud of.

She stayed that way for a while, letting out all her pent-up emotions. By the time she was finished, her battle suit clung to her body. It didn't bother her though. If anything, it made her feel like she accomplished something.

Leaning her head against the bag, Luna caught her breath and stripped out of her jacket. The cool air settled in a way that was refreshing, finally bringing a halt to her simmering frustration.

An emotion that was immediately triggered by the sound of a brooding man across the room.

"Wow, what did that punching bag ever do to you princess?" Bucky called out, a smirk firm on his lips as he walked to stand in front of her.

Luna crossed her arms, a movement that Bucky's eyes traced until they found their way back to hers.

The action caused her to chuckle harshly, "I find it particularly motivating to picture your face while I'm training".

"Can't get enough of me, can you?" He retorted with a stern expression. He held onto the punching bag, glancing before he meeting her gaze. "If you're looking for a fight then I'm right here".

"Like I'd give you any satisfaction Winter Solider", She sneered and began to turn away from him.

With a shock, he grabbed her arm and slammed her into the wall. It wasn't hard to enough to actually hurt her, like he was holding back much to her surprise.

"Don't call me that. I have a name and it's not that" He barked, hurt hidden behind his gaze.

They watched each other for a moment, irritation or something else entirely settled between them. Everything that they had gone through, built into this second and all she wanted to do was figure out a way to find her release.

His eyes slid to her lips in a casual flicker, one that she couldn't help but share as she looked to his.

Luna didn't know who leaned first. All she knew, all she felt was a fire igniting within her at the same time her blood froze. She hated him, but fuck did this man know how to kiss.

She could help but run her hands along his chest as he pressed her against the wall. He kissed along her jaw, sending shivers throughout her body before he found her lips.

He growled in pleasure as she opened his mouth with her tongue. They matched the others rhythm with complete ease, somewhat battling for dominance in a way that was competitive and exciting.

It was amazing, unlike anything she had every felt before and that made her hate it all the more.

With that thought, she flipped him around and pulled away. Her lips ached to kiss him again, but her mind screamed in displeasure.

She shook her head, scowling at Bucky before she hissed, "If you ever pull something like that again, I'll kill you…without hesitation".

Luna pushed against his chest, cursing to herself about admiring his solid frame. As she walked away, she couldn't help the feel of her fingers to her lips. They still tingled from his touch.

"Fuck me", she growled and stomped to her room.
