Hi'ya everyone,I know it's been quite a while since I wrote the very first chap for this fic,I just kinda lacked inspiration to write a new chapter but here I am,I always used to throw a bone Rooster Teeth's way but the last episode of the 8th Volume left me disappointed like come on they killed Penny off again and she's permadead this time so I really hate them for it,way to freaking go Miles Luna,you've ruined Monty Oum's story you damn trashy writer,I hope they find some or other way to hopefully rectify all the mistakes they made,ugh,I am so depressed about it all.

Jaune and the rest of team JNPR as well as team RWBY sat at the cafeteria table they usually used,Pyrrha sitting slightly closer to Jaune than usual which had him blushing slightly,everyone was used to Pyrrha trying to get Jaune's full undivided attention in whatever kinda ways and they understood every single little bit of it but RWBY kinda felt a little bit annoyed from that,they now too wanted his attention.

Ruby had had a crush on Jaune for only slightly less time than Pyrrha had so her own annoyance was truly understandable,Weiss started to have feelings for Jaune around after he helped helped Neptune,Blake had fallen for Jaune because of his positive view of the faunus people and his caring nature always willing to lend an ear to really listen to other's problems despite his own,Yang likened Jaune to a puppy.

They knew it was really unfair to be so utterly jealous of how Pyrrha was allowed so very close to the oblivious blonde knight but they couldn't help themeselves,he'd slowly taken a place in their hearts,off to the one side of the cafeteria sat Penny observing Jaune,she was quite curious about him to say the least,she saw the Academy's informal "guests" for lack of a better term enter the cafeteria.

Minutes later Jaune was on the roof where a lot of the time was spent with him training nightly with Pyrrha,only this time the very unwilling visitors to Remnant were on the roof helping him train,he was surprised when Kenji offered to help him in training,don't get him wrong Pyrrha was a great help due to her experience in combat but training from a few different sources always helped.

"Alright then Jaune,details from Pyrrha have given me some insight into Aura,I want for you to use it as a weapon."

Kenji said starting with something that he believed would be a great idea,Aura seemed like it's use could vary a lot.

"She is a quadruple tournament champion after all so really it makes sense,how do you reckon I can used it in such a way."

Jaune chuckled,Pyrrha truly is an expert on all things in fighting was his thought,he wondered what Kenji now had in mind.

"I firmly believe that you can make a weaponised manifestation of aura,picture a short sword in your mind,try forming it."

Kenji could see how Jaune's face lit up in excitement at the very idea of forming a weapon from aura,it makes sense.

"Wow,I never thought to even try that,and then here you come from another world and think so far ahead,wow...I will try tho."

Jaune could feel the excitement in his veins,he thought that the idea was awesome,he reached deep into himself mentally running down the stream that is his aura,he pictured himself dipping a hand into the flowing river and pulling out a sliver of pure aura,it was ethereally blue,he slowly molded it into a short sword ,he then opened his eyes back in reality and looked at his hand,his eyes grew wide.

"That was easy,wasn't it Jaune,the reason you can is,since aura is a part of your soul it's easily maleable to do most anything.

Kenji said watching with pride for sure as Jaune held a slightly curved ethereal sword with seven serrated teeth.

"This is awesome,it does feel kinda ya know unreal,it definitely doesn't have the weight of an actual physical sword."

Jaune openly marveled at the sword in his hand,the pommel had a double edge on it,the blade's back had an extra part.

"Seeing as you have that sword manifested,let's do battle,I'll fight back using only my claws."

Kenji had figured out a way to extend his claws like bigger felines do,conventional rules didn't apply to anthromorphics.

training with Anthromorphics day 1

training scene start

Jaune got Crocea Mors blade ready in his right hand while keeping the aura sword in the other as Kenji extented his claws and shot forward faster than Jaune had ever seen anyone move who wasn't as fast as Ruby,Jaune's two swords clashed loudly with Kenji's extented claws,Jaune noted that Kenji was fairly quite powerful for a person who's animal transformation was a Cheetah,Jaune was impressed.

Kenji was impressed with Jaune too,the knight may have moderate level combat skills but he also has a high physical fortitude,Kenji quickly Spartan kicked Jaune against his chest plate causing him to stagger and stumble backwards but Jaune also recovered pretty fast and went for a sweeping low kick which Kenji jumped right over, Jaune tried a pommel bash but was easily deflected

Kenji visibly grinned at Jaune's inventiveness,not many would think to hit an opponent with the pommel of a sword right after said opponent jumped over a sweep kick and was still mid air as obvious of a strongly advantageous move it could be,Kenji quickly slipped into Jaune's guard and slashed him wildly across the face with his claws which skittered over his aura but still hurt a lot.

Jaune rammed his knee hard into Kenji's gut before Kenji could get out of range,Kenji doubled over for only a small moment before he sent Jaune back with a palm thrust to the abdomen which drove some air out from the now stunned knight's lungs and left him gasping for air for a few small seconds,after more or less five seconds Jaune swung his two swords overhead with considerable force.

Kenji brought his steel bracers up and blocked the blow managing to buckle for only a millisecond before his Cheetah ears and tail popped out and he bulked up slightly and once again he Spartan kicked Jaune followed up this time by a Superman Punch to the face and then a Spinning Back Kick knocking Jaune on his backside,the fight was now over,they heard applauding and looked to the side.

Training scene end

Jaune's face lit up in a bright smile when he realized it was his team as well as Ruby's team that that loudly applauded his practice fight with Kenji,he also noticed the girl who was visiting from Atlas named Penny who was now happily waving at him and grinned when he waved right back,Jaune got up and walked calmly over to all of them.

"Hi there everyone,I sure didn't expect you all to come and watch,I hope my performance was not too poor."

He was ecstatic that his group of friends had been there to watch as he tried his best against Kenji in training

"We all elected to come and see how well you were going to do against someone who could beat a large Grimm pack."

Pyrrha said smilingly and then pulled Jaune into a small hug,yang mumbled a comment but was promptly elbowed.

"Thank you all,I am glad that my friends decided to watch as I get better,it really means a lot to me."

Jaune said happily as he gave a hug right back to Pyrrha which just made her hug him even harder.

"Jaune that was totally awesome! For real! You held your own against a guy who relies on hand to hand combat!"

Ruby said excitedly and Jaune grinned at her while Pyrrha rocked Jaune and herself side to side,Jaune decided he liked that.

"Thank you Ruby,I am glad that I did but,I still haven't improved by a long shot,I will not get down on myself about it tho."

Jaune replied while still smiling,the soft smell of Pyrrha's usual shampoo invading his nostrils soothing the knight.

"I thought it was sensational! Your sparring partner has approximately 8 years training in hand to hand combat."

Penny piped up surprising Jaune and everyone,Jaune's eyes were wide,he had held out against someone of pro level.

"Color me impressed,you have improved quite a bit by now even if you don't realise it,you have my unyielding support,Jaune.'

Weiss said, most of everyone present were understandably shocked,Weiss had just given Jaune a compliment.

"I fully agree with Weiss,I've actually paid attention to your overall performance in joint missions,well done Jaune."

Blake gave her two cents on the matter in her own stoic way and then she flashed Jaune a smile,as small as it was

"I have to also agree there Jaune,you did really really well,you have all my respect,I figured I'd start calling you by name too."

Yang said and showed Jaune two peace signs,everyone including Jaune laughed at that,Yang was never this serious.

"Well thank you,Weiss,Blake and Yang,that means a lot coming from all of you considering just how little we interact."

Jaune replied in a thankful manner and grinned widely at the three,they realised he was right,they really don't interact a lot.

"I think I know how that can be rectified,let's us all go out to eat tonight and you three can chat to Jaune a lot for once."

Ren suddenly said startling everyone,even Nora jumped a little,nobody was used to Ren speaking up at all,not even Nora.

"I totally agree with Ren,our fearless leader needs all the friends that he can get otherwise he would be a bit lonely!"

Nora readily replied before anyone else could even recover,being very used to Ren's nature of surprising people.

"Alright,Kenji,you and your uh Harem can come along and you too Penny,you are basically one of us,I'll pay for you all."

Jaune said,all the invited except Penny wanted to decline but the look Jaune sent them booked no argument.

Everyone sat down at a big table in the resturant,Jaune had ordered a burger and fries,Pyrrha a Snitchel,Ren a veggie burger and Nora two burgers,Ruby chose a Ham and Cheese sandwich,Weiss a Potato salad,Blake chose three fish fillets and Yang chose the same as Nora,Penny ordered large fries,Kenji and his girlfriends all ordered Steak and Chips and everyone ordered a Cola for something to drink.

"So,Jaune,it might just be you wanting to improve but are you perhaps trying to get better for the Vytal festival?"

Penny asked being the first to speak up,having improved her normal speech,she was heavily intrigued by Jaune for sure.

"All of the above,I need to do so because I don't want to embarras the rest of my team or Beacon by extention on Live TV."

Jaune replied with a surety as the determination in his eyes made them appear to shine like Sapphires.

"It's like I said,you have improved and I believe that at the rate you seem to have done so,you'll do great by then."

Weiss again surprised the whole table except for Kenji and his ten girlfriends at the fact she gave Jaune a compliment.

"Are you sure that you are okay,this is like the second time that you have complimented the guy today."

Yang took a verbal jab at Weiss who sent her a glare grumbing indignantly under her breath,Blake elbowed Yang again.

"Disregarding my partner,Jaune,you really have gotten better and by your own merits,I'm sure Pyrrha can vouch for that."

Blake said honestly and delighted in Jaune's face flushing slightly,she'd learnt Jaune isn't used to compliments at all.

"Just like Blake pointed out,Jaune,by your own hard work and drive,you've grown by leaps and bounds,I am proud of you."

Pyrrha said lightly nudging Jaune's shoulder with her own to which he blushed even brighter feeling flattered.

"I totally agree with them,Jaune,you are probably the one person here doing your best and more to improve,great going."

Ruby gave her two cents and smiled at Jaune who smiled back happily,the girl's optimism was contagious.

"Jaune can I ask you to show me a little bit around Vale since I haven't been exploring the city?"

Penny asked,all eyes fell on her at her straight forwardness and lack of any and all hesitation.

"Uh...Yeah! We are friends now so that way we can get to know each other much better too."

Jaune replied a little surprised Penny asked him out of anyone else that she could've asked.

"Sensational! My other priorities need some attention until then so... In two days around 07:00?"

Penny replied in a formal tone again reminding everyone she's originally from Atlas.

"That sounds like a plan,I'm gonna squeeze in as much training as possible until then."

Jaune said resolutely,his blue eyes again became as hard as Sapphires but he still smiled.

"Jaune,please do not overexert yourself,just do your very best alright?"

Pyrrha said from right next to Jaune the concern quite clear in her voice to nobody's surprise.

"Don't worry Pyrrha,knowing you're always there for me will be the thing keeping me all safe."

Jaune replied smiling and pulled Pyrrha into a quick one armed hug and squeezed a little.

Training with Anthromorphics day 2

It was now the very next day,Jaune stood on the roof with the teen Anthromorpics while Pyrrha was for a change just back in JNPR dorm doing due maintenance on her weapon instead of being near Jaune... on Jaune's absolute orders and insistence,Ren and Nora were off somewhere and RWBY in Vale.

"Today,Jaune,my two strongest girlfriends will be giving you training for today."

Kenji said standing with his arms folded and with an easy going smile on his face.

"Me and Tora are going to do work on your arm strength for blocking and swinging"

Shishana said next to Tora with Kenji watching while the rest of his harem were all sleeping in.

"You should know that the muscles involved in a swing and block all work in tandem."

Tora said as an explanation to Jaune about why exactly they'd be training his arm strength.

"I've never thought of it that way,I am strong but I never use strength with that in mind."

Jaune replied surprised,he never considered training his strength for two different muscles.

"Now,how hard and precise you strike will determine if you'll pass a block of any kind."

Shishana said leading the explanation,her pose mirroring that of Kenji's.

"In the same token,the way you block plus solid foundation and stance are key to a good block"

Tora said explaining the opposite,she quite liked feeling like some kind of teacher.

"Shishana will be testing your strike strength,Tora will test your blocking... Begin!"

Kenji said feeling like this is going to be fairly entertaining as he gave the start command.

Training Scene Start

Jaune drew Crocea Mors and deployed the shield,he saw Tora standing aside so naturally striking first,he swung his sword down at Shishana and she caught the flat sides of the sword with her palms,Jaune tried to force his strike through via brute strength but no matter what he tried but couldn't power through.

Jaune grunted in effort as his aura sprang up around him unconsciously,but as he began overpowering the block now Shishana pressed up to keep Jaune's block at bay while bulking up lightly putting more strength into her palms and forearms as she could tell she'd be overwhelmed otherwise.

Now noticing his flared aura it clicked for Jaune,he sent aura forward into his hands and thought that he'd get through, that's until he was Spartan kicked away harshly by Shishana and sent flying with his sword,he tried an upward swing next but his sword was slapped to the side,Shishana then pointed to Tora.

Jaune turned around towards Tora holding his shield at the ready,he wasn't expecting the power of Tora's rapid punches as he felt his arms buckle under the force being unleashed on his shield,it felt as if an Ursa Major was baring down on him with how powerful Tora's punches were,his arm was getting sore.

He flared his now very still aura again around his body and sent a considerable amount straight to his arm,Tora started throwing kicks and those were somehow even more powerful so he pressed the back of his other arm's forearm against the shield's inside and felt himself block the kicks much better.

He was once again showed that he wasn't going to win here easily as Tora did an axe kick onto the shield of the weapon which forced him to one knee,he then felt he was in a more solid blocking position,Tora did a flurry of high kicks,Jaune pushed up to his knees but was Spartan kicked onto his back again.

Training Scene End

Jaune made his way back to his dorm and flopped down onto his bed as he decided to take a little nap while he waited for lunch to start.
