I'm a big fan of the Life is Strange games, I've seriously got a soft spot for Sean and Daniel. But as always my brain starts tickling and I get story ideas, I'm going to take a different route this time though. This will be my next project when I've finished A Wolf In Sheeps Clothing, I thought I'd post one chapter to see how it goes.
I've got an idea for an oc, it would be cool to try and do a romance fanfiction for once if I don't mess it ip. I could make it tragic or happy, I've gotten most of the endings in Life Is Strange 2 and I prefer the ending where the Wolf Brothers make it Mexico even if they turn to criminal activities.
-I don't own the Life Is Strange series.
-Please be patient with me - My laptop charger died, I have to write everything on my phone now.
-I have no idea how long this fanfiction will be, maybe I got write it in a way where the reader gets to decide the way the story will be told in some chapters- I could give choices, bad and good decision.
-Why don't they have Life Is Strange 2 characters on here in the characters part?
Stay safe and Enjoy!
Chapter 2!
Away, Arizona.
The alarm clock on Gemini's bedside cabinet rang loudly, it was 9am. She hit her alarm clock a few times before she sat up in her bed, her blonde locks hung over her face until she scooped it back it a ponytail. She had no reason to be awake early, but she liked having a sleeping routine. Getting out of her bed she yawned while she draw back the curtains, the sunlight entered her bedroom. She shielded her eyes and ground to herself, the heat from the rays of sun were warm against her skin.
It was another beautiful day in Away, it was sunny most days in the desert community. Gemini opened her room's window and picked some cushions up from the floor, she then began to make her bed. Most of her bedding was on hanging on the floor, she always ended up kicking her blankets off in the night due to the dessert heat. It wasn't long until there was a knock on the door, she heard her Uncle Stanley's voice from the other side of the door.
" Gem, honey! Breakfast is in the oven, me and Arthur are driving out for community supplies. Do you need anything?!"
" I'm fine, Stanley!" Gemini yelled.
" We'll be back soon, no wild parties while we're gone! You hear?!"
" No wild parties unless you're invited, right?!" Gemini asked before she folded up her fleece. " I know the drill!"
" You've got that right, I'm glad you remembered!"
" Have a safe drive, I'll see you soon!" Gemini said.
" Bye, Mini!"
" Bye Uncle Arthur!" Gemini yelled.
Gemini smiled to herself while she continued to make her bed, she loved Stanley's sense of humour. He was always joking with her, he was like her Mom in a weird way. After she had finished making her bed she chose a blue vest top and some demin short, she then hung them over the back of her office chair before she left her bedroom. She headed straight toward the kitchen, the smell of waffles were inviting.
" Waffles, waffles, waffle Wednesday!" Gemini said with a skip in her step before she opened the oven's door and peered inside. " Good morning waffles and hello stomach!"
The plate wasn't too hot, she took her breakfast from the oven and placed it on the table. She quickly got some syrup and sliced some strawberries from the fridge, her stomach was craving waffles this morning. She dressed up her waffles with syrup and sat down at the table, but a knock at the door disturbed her from her breakfast moment.
" Uncle Arthur, did you forget you car keys again?!" Gemini yelled.
Hurrying over to the front door she opened wide with a smile on her face, but she paused when she saw someone else standing on the doorstep. It wasn't her Uncle Arthur, it was the young boy from yesterday. He was holding her note pad in his hands, he eyed her up curiously before he broke the silence between them.
" I've come to return this, I found it in the back of the book you gave me." Daniel said while he glanced down at the note pad in his hands. " It's a real cool note pad, I like your stories."
" You read my stories?" Gemini asked.
" Yeah, I really liked the one about the toothless Coyote who stole some human dentures so he could eat desert hares again." Daniel said with a slight smile. " It kind of reminded me of my Grandpa, except he doesn't eat raw meat."
" That's cute." Gemini smiled.
" Sean told me there's Coyotes in Arizona, is it true?" Daniel asked.
" Yeah, I've never seen any around these parts though. But sometimes you can hear the howling at night if you camp out in the canyons." Gemini said before she glanced over her shoulder. " Listen, I'm just about to eat breakfast. I've got more stories if you want to read them, I can drop them off later if you want."
" Really? That would be so cool!" Daniel smiled.
" Keep hold of my book for now then, I'll be over in an hour or two." Gemini said.
" Okay." Daniel said.
Gemini waved to Daniel before he hurried back towards Karen's house trailer, she then closed the door and walked back to the kitchen table. She ate her waffles and placed her dirty plates into the sink, she would wash them after she had dropped her stories off for Daniel to read. Showering and getting changed into her clean clothes she was now ready to choose some stories to borrow the young boy, she took two of her note pads from her bookshelf before she put her black sneakers on. Grabbing her hoody she put it on while she walked through the house, it would only take her a few seconds to walk to Karen's trailer.
Gemini opened the front door and stepped outside, the heat hit her immediately. The desert community was roasting away as always, she sometimes wished for a little bit of rain to cool the place down. She closed the door behind and hurried along the sandy pathway, she could Karen with Sean. They were sitting at the table outside the trailer, she soon approached them and smiled at them both.
" Morning." Gemini said.
" There you are, we've been expecting you." Karen said before she looked over her shoulder and yelled. " Danny, she's here!"
" Just a sec, I'm doing something!"
" He's in the bathroom, it could take awhile." Sean said.
" Dude, don't say that!"
" Why don't you take a seat, he shouldn't belong." Karen said.
" Thanks." Gemini said.
Gemini tried to hold back an amused smile but it was hard, she sat down on the chair nearest to her. She cupped her hands over her note pads and crossed her legs, she then waited for Daniel. Karen made small talk with her, they spoke about the meteor shower next week and her gardening, it seemed like Daniel had been pesting Sean to take him to watch the meteor shower in the canyons since he found out about it.
" He hasn't stop talking about it." Sean said.
" That's probably my fault, I told him about the meteor shower yesterday." Gemini said while she looked at Sean. " Sorry about that..."
" It's cool, I'm kind of looking forward to it myself." Sean said.
" Daniel seems to have taken a shine to you, he hasn't stopped talking about you." Karen said.
" He seems like a nice kid, also I gave him a book." Gemini said, she turned her attention to Karen. " Free stuff normally gains you brownie points with kids, it's some kind of cosmic law in the child universe."
" You can say that again." Sean said.
" Watch out, here I come!"
Daniel's voice interrupted their conversation, the young boy jumped down the trailer's steps and walked towards them with his hand raised in front of him. But he wasn't alone, something was floating in front of him. Gemini had to do a double take, she couldn't believe what she was seeing. She could see what looked like a rockship made from a toilet roll tube, it was painted blue and red.
" Check out what I made, it's a space rocket." Daniel said with a smile on his face while the rocketship landed on the table between them. " I could send it to the moon!"
" That's great, Danny." Karen smiled.
" Erm, did anyone else just see what I saw?" Gemini asked.
" Daniel, what did I tell you about using your powers?!" Sean asked, he looked furious with his Brother. " You need to be more careful, no one knows about your powers here! We've not had time to tell anyone about them yet!"
" Sorry, I didn't think..." Daniel sighed.
" Sorry isn't good enough, you never think!" Sean said.
" Sean..." Karen said.
Gemini's eyes grew wide while she listened to them talking, she had no idea what she had just witnessed. She looked at Daniel and then at Sean in turn, these newcomers were peculiar. There conversation was getting quite heated, she nearly dropped her note pads when she heard Daniel swear at his big Brother. She was being to feel uncomfortable, she needed to get out of here. Placing her note pads on the table she quickly got up from the chair, she accidentally grated one of the chair legs against the ground which caught everyone's attention.
" Where are you going?" Daniel asked.
" I've gotta go..." Gemini replied while she put the chair neatly back at the table. " I've got chores to do before my Stanley and Arthur return home, they love a tidy kitchen."
" Are you okay?" Sean asked.
" Im fine." Gemini replied, she rested her hands on her hips. " I think I've had too much sun, it's hot today... yep, it's too hot!"
" Gemini, we can explain everything." Karen said befote she got up from her chair and approached her. " Daniel is special, he won't hurt you. Please stay, we can talk it through."
" I really need to go now, I'm sorry Karen..." Gemini said.
" It's fine, we can talk later." Karen said, she crossed her arms. " I think we need to arrange a community meeting, we've got a lot of things to discuss with my neighbours."
" You're right." Sean said.
" Please stay, I want to read your other stories!" Daniel said.
" My note pads are on the table, I'll see you later." Gemini said.
Gemini stared at Daniel for a brief second before she ran away, she felt awful since the young boy looked sad at her departure. She couldn't stand being around people arguing, it reminded her of the times when her Dad use to yell at her when she was a kid. When she reached her house she opened the door and hurried inside, she then closed the door behind her. Gemini had no idea what she had just witnessed, she felt like she had just been sucked into an episode of the Twilight Zone. She had no idea what was going on, but she knew it wouldn't be long until she learnt the truth about Daniel Diaz.
