Also - FF keeps messing up my text format -_-

A soft groan left her throat, as she slowly started to wake up. Happenings from the recent event seemed blurry, and she struggled to remember what happened. Opening her eyes in a slow manner, she stared at the ceiling above her.

Where the heck am I?

"Oh, you're finally awake! Thank goodness!" her head snapped to the side, as she heard a gentle voice talk. "How are you feeling?" she must've really hurt her head back there. Really bad. The sight that met her let her speechless. What in the living world was… that?

"Who… who're you?" there was a hint of angst in her voice. He was quite tall, covered up in what looked like gear of some sort, and… he was…

"Ah, I'm sorry. That's very impolite of me. I'm Donatello. What's your name Ms.?" the green skinned guy asked her back. The expression on her face must've been priceless.

"W-What ar-""Eeeey! You're awake cute girl! How are you feeling? Is Donnie boring you with all his brainy stuff?" another voice exclaimed close to her. With a swift movement, Kimberly sat up straight before hopping down from the bed she had rested on.

"I've hit my head. I've hit my head. God what is happening to me right now? I'm seeing two overgrown turtles talk to me!" she said to herself out loud. "This can't be real"

"Weeeell you're kinda right cutie! We are turtles!" a turtle with an orange bandana beamed. He approached her in what seemed the most normal way, you'd normally greet a friend.

"Cut the crap, Mikey! Hey Ms. whatever your name is… watch your wound! You should not move around already!" the tall turtle spoke, holding his hands out in attempt to calm her down. Her wound? What the hell was he talking about? Before she could ask anything, a sharp pain surged through her waist. Crouching down in a hiss of pain, she covered the area, soon enough noticing it bleeding.

"Awh no. All the movement made it reopen" the purple banded turtle, whom she believed introduced himself as Donatello sighed. "Don't be afraid. I'm here to help. Let me close it again," he offered and knelt down in front of the dark, brown haired female and offered to help her up.

"What's all the noise you guys are doing in here?" a booming voice entered the room. She almost didn't dare to look up. Something here wasn't right, and it confused her greatly.

"Hey Raph! Imma go get Leo! The girl he saved is finally awake!" the cheerful one was a little too excited about the whole thing. Allowing Donatello to help her, she supported herself on one leg as she was led back to the bed. Her heart was pounding in her chest. Where was she? Who were these… people?

As she laid down, the pain didn't seem to fade that easily. Carefully moving her blood-stained shirt up a little, Donatello shook his head as he put some gel on the wound and put some fresh bandages on the wound. Kimberly followed his movements with her eyes, not daring to look away. A part of her wanted to say something, and the other one didn't even know where to start or what to say. She felt tired and sore.

"What happened?" she finally dared to ask. Her eyes slowly wandering up his tall, green, slender form. Her question took him off guard, but his focused expression remained the same.

"You and your boyfriend got attacked in an alley, and you got cut in the crossfire." Yep, your headache seemed real enough. Wait, your what?

"Excuse me, my WHAT?" your voice raised as a deep frown appeared on your features. You had no idea what the hell he was talking about. Boyfriend, oh… he must've meant… "You conceited piece of-" you glittered through your teeth. If it wasn't because of the cut wound on your waist and the pain it caused you when you moved, you would have been one step away from smacking the red banded turtle right across the face. How dared he insult you like that? You were well aware how Ray usually made it look. You were close, but you were by no means his girlfriend. It would NEVER happen.

"Ouch Raph, you've only known her for two minutes and you already got told off. Man, that must hurt," the orange turtle semi laughed.

"No fighting guys," the geared-up turtle tried to break the fight.

"What are you guys fighting over this time?" a stern voice entered the room. Kimberly inwardly groaned to herself. Great, more company. Her mind was boggled enough as it was. Turning her head towards the door, another green turtle entered the room. He looked like the rest. For a second, she felt nauseous. The headache was so real. "I'm sorry if my brothers here are causing you headache. How are you feeling?" he asked as he approached her before kneeling down and notice her red stained shirt. She remained silent for a bit, her eyes scanning over his green features. Something seemed familiar about him. Something she couldn't quite pick up.

"I know you," she said in a quiet whisper, but loud enough for him to hear it. She sought for eye contact, which he didn't seem to mind. There was no mistake. She remembered those eyes. Those blue eyes.

"Leo is the one who caught you in the fall," Donatello's voice broke her train of thoughts.

"What fall?" she asked

"While we fought off those thugs, you were cut by the guy who held you hostage. Somehow you manage to cut yourself on the blade and ran off as he was knocked out. Leo was stupid enough to chase after ya,"the red banded turtle grumbled. Kimberly looked over at him for a moment. She wasn't sure how tall these guys were, but she was sure that this wasn't a situation she would take him on in. He was massive!

"And if I hadn't she's have fallen off that roof and killed herself!" the blue banded argued and stood up.

"Enough!" a cranky voice shouted across the room, silencing everything. "What's the meaning of this, my sons? Why must you be making such a scene. What happened, happened, and right now you are making the young lady feel uncomfortably uneasy." Was that… a rat? She felt her head spin and make her dizzy.

"Let's give her some space guys. You got this, right Donnie?"

"Of course, Leo"

"Leo…" Kimberly breathed out. Was his name Leo? Funny name. But at least she now knew the name of the owner whose eye stole her attention.

After some of hours of sleep, Kimberly was woken up by some commotion going on in the room next door. Looking around she noticed she was alone.

"Why are you taking this out on me, Raph?" one voice sneered.

"Donnie, you stay back tonight and make sure she isn't worsening,"

"You know, I think Leo should stay back. He's the one who brought her here after all!" there was no mistaking the orange turtle's voice. Struggling a bit, she sat up. She wondered if she should be seeing what the fuss was all about, but some part of her decided to stay – it might've been for the better.

"If I hadn't caught her she would have fallen off that roof top and killed herself instead! What else was I supposed to do huh? Left her fall? I don't think so Raph!"

"Quiet!" the rat's voice boomed between the loud voices. "I think what Michelangelo is implying is a good idea. As a leader, you take responsibility for your actions too, Leonardo. Stay back," Splinter ordered. Within the next few moments, the three of them had left the hideout.

"Sensei, with all respect. I'm not a babysitter. What if something happens out there, while I'm here?" Leonardo argued with a polite tone.

"My son, you're the leader. Be a good role model. Ah, and also," the rat turned to walk. "I think all the noise you boys just made, woke up the young miss." Kimberly wasn't sure what to think. She heard some of the argument. But she was not in the need of a babysitter. She felt almost offended, that he would think so little of her. What did she look like? A baby? Pushing her legs over the edge of the bed, she slowly got on her feet. It still hurt. Something about the left behind turtle interested her, but what was she supposed to say?

With slow steps she moved out. This place was huge. Where was she? A slight scent tickled her nose. Was she… in the sewers? She took note of the place as she looked around.

"You were not supposed to walk around," she found the blue clad turtle sitting quiet on the floor. Was he trying to meditate?

"I don't recall anyone told me not to," she defended her actions. Her body was tired and numb as she supported herself against the wall behind her. He didn't answer to her statement. She stood there for a while, just watching him. His eyes closed. He looked peaceful. Her brain was spinning with a lot of questions, but no words came out of her mouth. Pushing off the wall, she turned to walk.

"You never said your name," Leo called after her. Looking at him over her shoulder, she noticed his eyes were still closed. Had he noticed her move? She barely made a sound.

"It's… it's Kimberly," she said slowly. "But I mostly go by Kim," she added.

"You should go back to sleep," he sure was bossy. Inwardly rolling her eyes, Kimberly continued to walk away from him. Was he always this grumpy, or was it because the others left without him? She couldn't really tell.

"Yea but I'm sorry to be the one to break it to you, but I don't wanna sleep more. Besides, why don't you just go? I mean it's quite obvious you're super annoyed by not going. I don't need a babysitter", she empathized the word. If he felt the need to be, he could as well forget everything about it. Within a blink of an eye, Leo stood in her way. Wait, when did he… His large arms crossed over his chest as he looked intensely at her.

"Go back to sleep," he repeated.

"If it was that easy, I would have,"

"Don't challenge me," oh it almost sounded like he dared her? A small laugh left the dark-haired female's throat, leaving the oldest turtle confused. "What's so funny? I wasn't joking." Clearing her throat, she shook her head and looked up to meet his bright blue eyes. Her stare made the turtle leader a little uncomfortable.

"Thank you for saving me. I don't remember a lot of what happened," a wave of guilt and disgust swirled in her stomach.

Ray. Why didn't you do anything?

Leonardo didn't respond at first. Averting his gaze from the smaller female he stepped aside and let her pass.

"That reminds me," he started. "I think this belongs to you. Seems like someone is eager to get in touch with you," he said and handed over her phone. Lightning the display she had 17 missed calls.

I got carried away with this chapter, oooops? Sorry not sorry. Life made it more delayed than it was supposed to.
