A/N: Hello, everyone! After responding to my friend ReaderWarrior, I should probably explain what/how the universe the Marvel characters Katana knows and interacts with works. I kind of say it in the beginning of one of the later chapters of them watching Avengers (Chapter 10), but the world is kind of linked to the MCU. The MCU is based off their exploits, but doesn't really tie in to everything they've done, kind of like the Disney XD cartoons. They seem to acknowledge the movies, but ignore all the important details, like any characters dying or the Avengers splitting up.
Yang continued to run around the room, trying desperately to avoid the imminent punishment she was about to receive from her mother. "Come on, Mom! It was years ago!" Yang tried to argue for herself.
"That doesn't make it better! Ruby could have drowned because you threw her into a lake!" Summer snapped as she grabbed at her eldest daughter.
"Uncle Qrow was there, too! She wouldn't have drowned!" Yang argued.
"Oh, really?" Summer asked, stopping and glaring at Qrow.
"Hey, don't drag me into this!" He said, raising his hands in defense. "And if you must know, Ruby was fine, she learned to swim by the end of the day and Yang WAS grounded." The former drunk explained.
Summer calmed down at this. "Fine. But you are still on thin ice, young lady." She warned Yang, who gulped.
Katana then cleared her throat to gain everyone's attention. "Alright, then, everyone! This time, things are going to be a little different. This time, instead of bringing the monster here, I've created a new simulation area that can recreate the habitats of the monsters, so the monster won't freak out from being in an unfamiliar location and you guys can enjoy a new environment and learn the important skill of tracking down the monster. Remember, they're not like the Grimm: they aren't seeking to destroy all human life and will hunt down sources of negativity. They're not gonna come to you, you'll have to go to them. And if the fight gets to extreme, they'll run away to attempt to regroup or eat something in order to recover. It's in your best interest not to let them." Katana explained.
"That's cool. But why a simulation instead of the real place?" Jaune asked.
"Well, there's a few reasons, but most importantly: Yang isn't a registered hunter in our world, so she'd be considered a poacher for hunting a monster without any kind of quest assignment. And poachers are not looked upon kindly by the Guild." Razara elaborated, everyone remembering that poachers are executed by the Guild, shuddering and nodding in confirmation.
"Yep. So, we've got a simulation of the Misty Peaks ready and an Arzuros is already waiting. And because Mom puts in the animals that are in there, you won't have to worry about anything else like a Nargacuga leaping out at you. Just step into the ring and you'll be transported into the simulation. It will either end when your aura runs out or the Arzuros is knocked out. And don't worry, we'll heal all of its wounds after the fight and send it back." Tekko told her.
"An Arzuros! Oh, yeah! This is gonna be sweet! It may not be a Tigrex, but it's still gonna be one heck of a fight!" Yang said excitedly.
"Good luck, sis!" Ruby cheered.
"I'll be rooting for you, blondie." Neo said with a wink.
"I'll be back with a nice fur rug!" Yang declared.
"Did you already forget that the battle will end BEFORE it dies?" Razara asked.
Yang huffed at this. "Come on. I totally knew that. I was just saying something cool. And you ruined it." Yang said, shaking her head.
"Be safe, Yang." Summer told her.
"Make us proud, Firecracker." Qrow said with a salute.
"Alright, Yang. Whenever you're ready." Katana told her. Yang nodded at this end walked to the center of the ring. A circle of light then formed around her feet, before she was surrounded by a wall of hexagons as tall as her, a beam of light engulfing her and bringing her into the simulation.
Yang suddenly appeared an a rocky clifftop which looked like a good place for small Fanged Beasts to come and rest. She also noticed a small handful of Jaggi, a couple of Kelbi and the corpse of a Gargwa nearby. "Hey, I thought you guys said it would just be me and the Arzuros here." She said.
"I included some small monsters just for a little extra challenge, so you stay aware of your surroundings. Nothing that will make things too hard or dangerous, but if you let your guard down and don't pay attention, you'll learn the hard way." Katana's voice rang out from the sky.
"Good enough for me. Just a few more scaly butts to kick!" Yang said as she noticed the Jaggi coming at her. However, she quickly outmaneuvered them and brought each one down with a strong punch or kick to the head. "Oh, yeah. Too easy!" She said confidently, stretching her arms a bit.
"Aww, Yang, look! Some Palicos are coming at you! They must be happy you got rid of the mean monsters!" Ruby said adoringly.
Yang looked down and indeed saw a small handful of black, bipedal cat creatures walking up, looking at her curiously. "Oh, hey there, little guys!" She greeted, squatting down to their level. "You don't have to worry about those nasty raptors anymore! You're free to do whatever you want!" She told them, petting each of their heads and smiling as they smiled back and purred at the attention. She seemed to miss the mischievous smirks on their faces when she mentioned doing whatever they wanted, though.
"Wait a second... Aren't the black and white one thieves?" Blake asked with a bit of concern.
Almost as soon as she said that, Yang felt her butt cape being lifted and her pockets and ammo pouches being raided. She looked back to see a couple more Melynxes taking some of her ammo belts, likely confusing them to be sausage links, before they booted the blonde brawler in the rear, causing her to fall flat on her face as the Melynx in front of her quickly leapt out of the way. They all did a small dance before quickly digging and escaping the area. "Hey! You over-sized rats! Get back here! Oh, man you guys are lucky Zwei isn't here! He'd be chasing you and chomping your butts until the sun set! And I'd let him turn you into chew toys!" She snapped.
"Let that be a lesson to you about letting your guard down, Miss Xiao Long." Ozpin told her.
"Yeah, yeah." She grumbled.
"Don't worry. In the next area, you can get your stuff back. That's where they take their loot." Tekko informed her.
"Oh, good. Then they can take my boot to their butts!" Yang snapped, hurrying to the next area. No sooner had she arrived did she see them putting her stuff at some weird altar. "Hey! That's mine, you thieves! Give it back!" She yelled, rushing in as the Melynx panicked at being followed so fast, attempting to gather her stuff up and run, but were blasted before they could move from rounds currently in Yang's gauntlets. She soon reached them and delivered a few kicks that sent the Melynx away, causing them to dig to safety as soon as they recovered. Yang smirked at this and quickly collected her stuff. "Alright! Got my ammo back, now it's time to do some hunting!" She declared, before sensing danger and moving to the side as a Felyne leapt at her and swung its stick at her head. "Hey, what gives!? They stole my stuff! I was just taking it back!" She told them.
"They don't care. As far as they're concerned, you messed up their friends and now you're the enemy." Razara warned her. "I'd recommend running." She added as some of the Felynes pulled out barrel bombs.
Yang gulped at this. "On it!" She declared, quickly running to the next area and then, to be safe, the one after it. She panted from the good bit of running she just did and then looked around, noting how she was in a dark forested sections between cliffs. "Okay, time to think like a Huntress." She told herself, thinking about what she knew about her target. "Arzuros REALLY love honey, so maybe if I can find some honey, I'll either find the Arzuros itself, or some clue on where it is." She theorized, silently earning praise from her audience. She continued to look around and then spotted the remains of a beehive. "Well, that's convenient." She said, approaching as close as she could without upsetting the remaining bees, which was way closer than she'd expected, now only a few feet away. She looked down and noted some paw prints that looked similar to an Ursai's, so there was a good chance it was her target. "Alright, looks like we're going this way." Yang said, following the footprints.
Soon enough, the prints led her to a narrow path following a river stream with a waterfall covering the way to a cave. And sure enough, just a bit further upstream was the Blue Bear Beast, which appeared to be scanning for a fish to make its next meal. Yang smirked at this, remembering a surefire way to get the normally passive beast riled up enough to fight her. "Let's see... They don't like surprises. Well, I've got one heck of a surprise for him!" She said, firing a round from one of her gauntlets into the water, right in front of the monster's face, causing it to shoot up and splash the beast in the face, causing it to cry out in surprise. After shaking off the initial surprise, it then looked up in anger and spotted Yang, figuring she was the only one who could've been responsible for this, standing on its hind legs and roaring at her.
"That's right. I did that, big boy! What are you gonna do about it!?" She demanded. The beast got on its hind legs and started barreling towards her at full speed. She smirked at this. "Good answer." She said, rushing in herself.

The two reached each other in the middle of the area. Arzuros rose up to its hind legs and swung a paw at Yang, but before it could connect, she delivered a strong jab to its gut, knocking the wind out of the beast and allowing her to land a couple more strong hits, ending with an uppercut that staggered the beast back a few steps. It dropped back down to all fours and bounded towards Yang once again, but this time stayed on all fours and tackled her as she prepared another punch, moving much quicker than she expected. As they came to a stop, the beast bit into Yang's shoulder, repeatedly delivering smaller chomps and shaking her around, before it swiped its claws into her, knocking her down and doing extra damage. It then backed off, but only so it could grab her in its paws and lift her into the air, shaking her roughly in hopes of shaking loose some honey, or anything else that might be edible. Unfortunately, nothing came loose from the blonde's person, so he tossed her away.
Yang rolled a bit, but got back to her feet and launched herself back at the Arzuros, but before she could reach the beast, she noticed a Bullfango charging at her, forcing her to stop and grab onto its tusks to stop it, before lifting it into the air, her hands switching tusks to spin the boar-like creature around, before she turned and slammed the small monster onto its back, knocking it out. This had given the Arzuros a chance to snack on a fish Yang had blasted out of the water when she first instigated the fight and now the beast was back on her, lunging forward and swiping with both claws which she backstepped to avoid, Arzuros landing on all fours and leaping forward again in an attempt to bite her. Just as she was finally about to retaliate, she was stung in the back by a Bnahabra, leaving her open just long enough for the beast to catch her with three vicious claw swipes, the last one sending her flying.
Yang tumbled through the stream, getting up and shaking her head to get the excess moisture out of her hair. "Okay, big guy. You're a bit faster than the Ursai I usually deal with. You managed to catch me off-guard for a second. You better enjoy that, because it's not happening again!" Yang said, rushing in once again. The Arzuros jumped into the air in an attempt to come crashing down on the blonde, but Yang leapt and rolled forward, avoiding the beast, turning around and rushing forward, landing several more punches to the beast's back, finishing with a blast from Ember Celica, making it stumble forward. However, Yang noticed that while the beast was definitely feeling her punches, they weren't nearly as effective as they were against actual Grimm, likely do to the beast's fat, scales and fur offering more protection than what most Grimm had.
The Blue Bear Beast was feeling the punches against its back, however, especially with the added burns from Ember Celica's shells. It growled at this, dropping to all fours and attempting to back its butt up into Yang, but she jumped over it, halfway through a flip directly above the beast, firing a round from both gauntlets to launch her further and do some damage landing several feet in front of the beast, looking back over her shoulder. "Trying to ram your butt into me, huh? Let's see how you like it!" She said, firing a round from both gauntlets directly in front of her, sending her flying back and her butt indeed bounced off the bear beast's nose, before she fired one more round from her left gauntlet, causing her body to spin and allowing her to deliver a strong round kick to its face with her right leg.
The beast roared at this, rearing up and grabbing Yang in its paws, biting into her shoulder again, turning and throwing her much further upstream, before retreating back into the zone Yang had come from. "Oh, you're not getting away that easy!" She snapped, chasing after it.
"Careful, Yang. You're aura's at 40%. That thing hits WAY harder than even an Ursa Major." Blake warned her partner.
Yang entered the area the Arzuros ran off to and saw it was approaching another beehive, likely ready to dig in once again. "Nope! Sorry, buddy! But I'm putting you on a diet!" Yang declared, firing a round from Ember Celica, which obliterated the hive just as the Blue Bear Beast was about to reach it. The Fanged Beast paused now, processing what had just happened. And while it didn't know exactly how she did it, the Arzuros was certain of one thing. This girl just denied it its precious honey. It quickly turned and roared furiously, charging towards her with the intent to kill. "Oh... I may have messed up." She said worriedly, leaping back to avoid a powerful swipe of the claws.
A trio of Jaggi also ran up at her, one of them leaping to try and pounce on her, but she rolled out of the way, grabbing its tail from behind it and swinging it into the other two, before turning and firing a round at another Bnahabra as it flew in to try and sting her. "Not this time, guys!" She said, before turning her attention back to the Arzuros and launching herself back to a safe distance. She then carefully moved around the beast, landing several quick, but strong hits where she could and moving to the side before it could hit back, all the while adding extra power to her punches with rounds from Ember Celica. Finally, the beast was tired out allowing Yang to deliver one final uppercut to the beast's head.
End Music
The beast staggered from the final hit and roared from pain and exhaustion, trying its best to stay standing, but it was far too dazed and tired, falling to its side and going unconscious. "Oh yeah! That's a win for Yang, baby!" Yang cheered for herself.
"Good work, Yang! Now just sit tight, we'll bring you back in a few seconds." Katana told the blonde brawler.
Yang turned back to the Blue Bear Beast, squatting beside his head and smirking. "Man, you're gonna need a lot of honey to wash out that sour taste of defeat." She told him, petting his head a bit before she was brought back to the training room and the Arzuros was returned to the REAL Misty Peaks.
Yang returned to the claps and cheers of her friends and family. "You did it, sis!" Ruby said, running and jumping into Yang's arms, hugging her sister.
"Pretty good out there, blondie." Neo said with a smile, giving Yang a peck on the cheek.
"Yeah! You kicked that big bear's butt!" Nora cheered.
"It was a very exciting display." Penny agreed.
"You did quite well, Miss Xiao Long. But I hope you did learn about underestimating your opponents from the Melynx." Glynda said.
Blake couldn't help but tease her partner at this. "Yeah, Yang. A bunch of cute little kitties stole all your ammo." She said with a smirk.
Yang gave Blake a small, but playful glare, then smirked herself. "Zwei! Get her, boy! Bite that big Bellabooty!" Yang told the Corgi.
"Arf!" Zwei replied happily, chasing after Blake, occasionally jumping and nipping at her butt as she jumped, squealed and used all her moves to try and avoid him.
"Yang Xiao Long..." Summer said in an authoritative tone. Yang gulped and looked to Summer. "You fought good, sweetie. But Blake was right, you need to watch your back and not let down your guard because they're a bunch of cute cats. Now call off Zwei." She instructed.
"Yes, Mom." Yang agreed, whistling to call back the corgi.
"So, who's gonna be next?" Katana asked.
"I would like to test my skills against a monster, please." Ren requested.
The hostess thought for a moment, before getting an idea and nodding. "Alright, Ren. I've got something in mind for you." She told Team JNPR's resident ninja.
A/N: Thank you all for reading! I hope you enjoyed! This was actually kind of difficult to make into a lengthy fight, as Arzuros usually goes down very fast and doesn't have many attacks in the first place, but I hope I still did a good job.
