With a heave the unrecognizable room rumbled as a disproportionately strong figure shoves the large pile of rubble off of them.
Now somewhat free of the containment of rubble, Izuku finds himself looking around the new large space he's in, his position was inclosed by a small circle of large boulders, looking up Izuku can faintly make out a tunnel that most likely connected to the room he was originally in and accidentally collapsed.
Taking a moment to look himself over he couldn't notice any problems, in reality he should have been squashed after falling so far on top of rubble landing on him from so far up, but he couldn't notice any pain or cracks in his body's chitin.
Possible crisis averted, he leapt over the rocks around him and found himself landing in a shallow pool of void-void, what a strange name, but one he couldn't help but call the near void black liquid.
Looking around he couldn't see any light sources but could see perfectly, a ability he was thankful for as it allowed him to see the large what looked like a set of doors made of the same void liquid but solidified, stuck and seeing no other exit except growing wings and flying back up the tunnel and fighting his way through what he could only assume was a collapsed room, he bet his chances on just approaching the set of doors.
Approaching the large doors he could tell that the doors were at least six times his own height, seeing no key hole he simply sat his hand on the door and tried to push, but his absurd strength seemed to fail him as the door didn't budge.
Just before he could give up though, the doors seemed to come alive as the front of the door unraveled in all directions, leaving a gaping hole where the door used to be. Stepping over the small lip of the door, the door suddenly snapped closed as he fully got into what looked to be a hallway.
Hunkering down his courage he strolled further down the intricate looking hollway that seemed to be internally made of solid void, but it reminded him of a hallway inside of a castle.
Time passed, how much? Izuku didn't know, but eventually the relatively giant hallway enlarged into an even larger room, where he encountered corpses, but not normal corpses, these corpses were giant looking bugs, with what looked like dried void dripping from random segments of their overly large shells.
Stuck between turning back and going forward, he pushed forward as he climbed around the giant mountains of giant dead bugs that seemed to almost fill the entire floor. Forced to duck between old bones and hollowed shells, he had more than one close call as he had accidentally snapped more than a few of the bones he was treading on top of.
It looked like he was reaching the very back of the wall, he felt like he had crossed the whole desert in his home world, it was mentally tiring not being able to just launch himself across the whole expanse, but his quirk was still acting up. He had only been able to make himself float for half a second before the sensation of his quirk had disappeared.
One thing he had found out was that for whatever reason no matter how far he fell, he would experience literally zero damage, he had tripped more than he would like to admit to find that tidbit out.
Emboldened by seeing the other side of the room he would have pushed himself forward harder if it wasn't for the fact he had been pushing himself to the limit for the past few hours? Days? He didn't know, but he was curious to see what would meet him at the other side of this giant room.
He regretted everything that led up to him being here, frantically he held the end of the giant bone club that had tried to wack his head off like a golf ball, it was only because of his weird influence over gravity, his absurde strength in his new body, and the few flickers of OFA he could bring up that kept him from losing the literal test of strength as he kept the even more giant undead skeleton bug from being able to get its club from his grasp and were stuck in a game of tug a' war.
Getting sick of the game quickly, he let go of his end as the giant skeleton creature pulled, sending it off balance(proving that other beings had centers of balance) and Izuku didn't hesitate to launch himself up the creatures body and to its head were a mighty swing from his tiny fist with a nicely timed infusion of AFO sent the creature not only stumbling but literally lifted off its feet as it flew into the wall and collapsed into a heap.
But the fight wasn't done as he heard the creature's bones rattling and seemed to magically reform its skeletal structure to how it was before, but now a nice large crack spread from the middle of its skull's forehead and branched to both of its eyes and rest of its skull.
Prepared to continue fighting Izuku was unprepared for the large creature to do a bow the best its giant body could before stumbling down to its knees before finally collapsing, its bones falling apart as they were no longer magically held together.
Stumbling back in surprise Izuku was caught off guard by the rumbling of the wall before a staircase just his size appeared from the seemingly alive wall, seeing nothing else to do, he made his way up the incredibly large staircase, unaware of the eyes from the giants skull following his location as he made his way up.
Izuku had only ever been partial to the colors green and red, not particularly bothered by other colors, but if it wasn't for the fact his whole body was made of a black coloring he would have sworn off the color permanently as he made his way through what seemed like the hundredth waterfall of void as he climbed the stairs, but just as he was considering what would happen if he simply ripped the staircase out of its support to find the stupid source of waterfalls he found himself in a big but significantly smaller room to the last one, and here a single giant skeletal bug sat, its arm seemingly stuck holding out its hands as a silver goblet rested in its bony hands, the liquid void bubbling up from its edges like a water fountain.
Tired and having not been able to sleep as the last time he had done that he had been swept away by a sudden stream of void down the stairs and having to redo a large portion. Without even considering the consequences he leapt up and into the silver bowl to see where the damned liquid was coming from.
The instant his feet made contact with the liquid he found himself paralized, the void seemed to move underneath him to move him into the center before the void rose up to intomb him completely, seeping into his very body, where mentally Izuku saw as the void seemed to collapse and formed into a ball of void that nestled close but not dangerously close to his soul that looked more like a sun, the ball of void seeming to simply sit their, unmoving and unchanging but as his soul seemed to reach out to devour the new ball of void, the ball simply phazed through it, untouched and undisturbed, his soul instantly settling down at its failure, understanding suddenly flowing into his mind.
He reflexively imitated taking a deep breath as he became aware of his surroundings, the bowl he was inside was now only having a shallow amount of void inside of it with no sign of void bubbling up like before.
Taking a moment to settle his insatiable curiosity he mentally picture the ball of void like before, taking a moment to mentall take control of it, seamlessly the ball of void imitated his form, taking a moment to mentally squeeze the void duplicate of his body, he suddenly felt the sensation of void inclosing around him, coming back to awareness he found himself simply slipping through the bowl and the giant's hands as he landed onto the ground, the sensation of void seamlessly retracting back into his body. It then hit him, he had just become intangible.
Sitting on a random slab of rock in the room Izuku took a moment as his mind went full speed ahead, he was thankful that he wasn't able to speak as he was sure that his habit to mumble would have kicked in as it had followed him even after he had gone back and became a official hero.
Situating himself to have his legs crossed he got into what he remembered to be a comfortable position, his new life had thrown a lot of sudden things at him, but now was as good time as any to go into his mind scape and try to figure out what's going on with his quirk, as well as his new void power...and how he had collapsed the room from before.
He felt...cold, not in the way of temperature, but mentally, he sat their blankly, the headspace he entered to directly interact with his predecessors sat quite, the eight other seats where his predecessor's usually sat where almost blank, where once the vestiges of his predecessors sat now was filled by the ancient, decrepit, withered and worn clothing of his predecessors, even though he could feel it, he still wanted to believe that his suddenly silent headspace didn't mean what he thought it had, they were gone, officially dead, with only their quirks and his memories of them for him to remember them by.
Mustering up his strength he looked to the side, standing at a relativity short height was the void representation of his new form, standing their blankly in the corner, seeming to almost seeming to shy away from the light of his soul as it floated behind him casting its glorious green light down on him and his surroundings. Squinting Izuku held his hand up and what appeared was a small glass ball, transparent save for the small amount of what looked like white light floating at its bottom.
Unlike his innate knowledge of void he couldn't make heads or tails of what the liquid was, he could draw it out but it was a fairly pitiful amount and it felt like he could do something with it, but it simply wasnt enough for him to get a good feel of what the new substance was, there was so many things being thrown at him that were new and unfamiliar and he was given no information on anything, even as he had grown to be in the unofficial top ten he had found solace that he had never been alone.
But now, in god knows where, he was left alone with so many unexplained question and absolutely zero help or answers, taking a metaphorical breather from thinking on his mental crisis and addition of new powers, it was faint but he could feel a much better control over his quirk, but as he activated float the little bit of white light/water suddenly began to disappear before quickly drying up, and in doing so he felt his body plop back down, float now out of his grasp, well...at least he found out what it was for now.
Taking an actual mental break he picked his head up from his semi-sleeping position and looked down the tunnel in the room, the staircase off to the side, not really feeling going down the staircase(no matter how much easier it would be to just throw himself down it and get to the bottom quickly) he got up and made his way to the tunnel, where he then noticed that his 'footsteps were completely silent, throwing the oddity onto the growing pile of other oddities of himself he had noticed he continued down the tunnel were he quickly made it to the end of the tunnel after passing through the occasional pool of void and jumping over the rare ledge.
Shockingly he realized that he was actually at the other side of the large pond of void he had been at before, but in the distance he heard the occasional thump of something hitting the ground from far off, concerned he brought up the mental image of the glass ball and saw it was now refilled with a little bit more light, taking this into account his eyes blazed with a inner green light as used to enhanced strength of OFA to leap to the other side, and with a dreading feeling noticed that the eggs he had seen before were now gone, and what was originally solid stone ground was now filled up high by bones, and looking up he could see small figures falling from way up from the ceiling. And as he got closer he realized that all the corpses and falling figures looked remarkably similar, a family resemblance even.
Horror pooled in his gut as he noticed many tiny figures climbing and leaping too and fro on top what looked like suspended patches of stone, hesitance gone. Izuku leaped far farther than his assumed siblings could and cleared a quarter of the strange floating...obstacle course? That's what it felt like.
Ripping his mind free of speculation he made another bound, this one much shorter than his other as the light inside drained up, but still he far exceeded his still climbing siblings in strength, able to leap higher and more surely than what amounted to recently born children, in horror his body was smacked mid air by one of falling bodys of his siblings, landing roughly on a patch of stone he had lept from he looked on in horror as his sibling simply did not respond to landing on the stone, its body unmoving even though it seemed uninjured.
Tearing his eyes from the horrible sight of what he could only think was his recently dead sibling he looked up and saw a strange pale light that seemed to emanate from a ledge near the roof of the place, resolve hardening Izuku took several more leaps to finally get a quarter of the way to the ledge, now so close he could see as his siblings made it to the top, alive and well, only for the pale light to shine brighter momentary before he saw them falling from the same ledge, now as still as the dead.
Years of training led him to practically dancing up the patch's of stone and with a final grand leap he found himself at the lip of the ledge, where he saw another bug a pale-silvery light pulsating off of it in waves, the familial resemblance was uncanny, and before it was another one of his siblings, four set of molded together horns sticking up from its head as it trailed after the monster that emitted the pale light, the monster having not even considering acknowledging Izuku's presence as they turned and his sibling followed.
Before the pale monster was several individuals all situated in pure white armor, all with uncanny resemblances to bugs, but that was cast aside as Izuku stepped forward and then lunged forward, the ground beneath him cracking as he closed the distance between him and the pale monster almost instantaneously, with hardly any time to react the pale monster could only turn to look at him, already trying to dodge but Izuku was simply to fast as his fist slammed into the the pale beings face, instantly they were sent flying back and bowled over the few individuals that were standing in front of the door way.
Momentum carrying him, he flew past the collapsed heap of bugs, turning, he made eye contact with his sibling, and felt a single sensation that he felt come from his sibling 'run', that instantly set red flags off in his head, but before he could grab his sibling the bugs had collected themselves and together started attacking Izuku. The pale monster had swiftly moved to pull his sibling under their wings.
For just about anyone else five individual attacks that attacked from all directions while their target had their back against a wall would have landed a hit, a substantial one at that, but Izuku's danger sense allowed him to simply glide through the attacks, not even needing to turn intangible to dodge them. If he could have we would have frowned.
The five knightly looking bugs had made a barrier between him and the pale monster, while this wasn't the first time he had been heavily outnumbered by several people, the random increase of white light he had was rapidly draining and rushing them just to get his sibling and then running would result in him being caught, or worse, killed.
Seeing no other way he let his full power loose as he escaped as quickly as possible, mentaly promising he would not only save his sibling, but defeat the pale monster as well, with a quick combination of his quirks full might, float, danger sense, blink, and his new found ability of intangibility he retreated upward out of the hole he could see and quickly disappeared in the maze of rock above the entrance to the abyss.
His ability of recognition was powerful, but as long as he was not in any danger of death
His ability only allowed him to see into the future for a very small amount of time, it was the only thing that had stopped him from being knocked unconscious as the fist of a failed vessel slammed into his face as he leaned with the attack, simply cracking his shell and sending him flying instead of outcome he had been suddenly shown.
But still it was a close thing as he had been frozen in momentary shock as he had seen the form of the failed vessel that had attacked him, more specifically the shining green lights that burned like fire within its eye sockets, where his pure vessel held no mind to think, no will to break, and no voice to cry, the vessel in front of him could only be one thing, something that he had feared, a godling.
It wasn't unprecedented for another god to be born from the intermingling of two gods, but he was certain the involvement of the void would crush any chance of that happening, yet a new, incredibly powerful godling had stood in front of him only moments ago, a almost crushing amount of maternal rage and protectiveness flowing off of it as the vessel tried again and again to reach the pure vessel.
His knights were the most skilled of the whole kingdom, yet the godling vessel had treated them more like nuisances than an actual threat, it had danced through their attacks like a ghost, some attacks got extremely close, yet every movement of the godling vessel was controlled to the point he was sure it had only allowed the attacks to get close, but never once did a single attack land.
It calmed him to see it running as while it was disturbing to see its eyes shine with an unquenchable green light before literally disappearing like a ghost, only smudged images of it left behind in its wake as it escaped, it clearly meant that had to have some kind of weakness or limit that forced it to give up and flee, but a pool of dread formed from knowing that anyone spotting the godling vessel would cause harsh backlash that they would need to quite quickly.
Already feeling exhausted from using his power so many times to dispose of his unworthy children, with a wave his brand flashed before the entrance was blocked up once more, whatever number of failed vessels inside, now sealed inside permanently. Quickly ushering the Pure Vessel along, his exhausted knights quickly fanned out around him, but the air of exhaustion from their brief bout with the godling made the march back to his palace feel far less triumphant than it should have now that they had their counter measure.
The five most loyal knights of the Pale King had returned back to the white palace with the new pure vessel, they had steeled themselves with the knowledge that many of their majesties children would fail to be the pure vessel they needed and sought for, but nearly a week of simply standing their hearing the ever closer thump of recently born children just as quickly dying had begun to grind down on their nerves.
But just when it had seemed like it would all be over as their majesty turned with the Pure Vessel, another vessel had risen, and unlike all the other childish vessels that seeked maternal comfort, this one had immediately attacked the Pale King with a wickedly powerful punch, its eyes unlike its other siblings as a fear inducing green glow peered from the darkness of its eye sockets.
When they had collected themselves to attack it was clear that the Pale Kings one fear had come true, a god had risen from amongst its siblings, its maternal rage and protectiveness clear for all to see, and without any shadow of a doubt they were sure it was their to avenge the death of not only its siblings that had died, but to collect its sibling their majesty had deemed the Pure Vessel, but none could blame it as their king had told them that the abyss was free from the grasp of the Radiance, so how was the child god to know it was for the sake of all of Hallownest?
But at the time none of them could bring themselves to speak as they were all forced to put as much effort as possible into holding back the vessel god as it was barely forced back from their attacks, but that was only because it seemed to refuse to be hit, seeming to not care of them their while dancing through their attacks, it was only years of trained coordination that allowed them to realize at once silently it wasn't attacking them back and only dodging. For them to then force it into a dance of constant dodging, every time it got closer they would use more encompassing attacks to force it back with no room to dodge around the attacks themselves.
It had struck at their pride that it had escaped unharmed as it did, while they all silently admitted that their foe was indeed a powerful god spawned from their very king, it was still only a child that could have only just been born along with the rest of its kin. Yet it seemed to be a force of nature like all gods, yet still only attacked the individual they were sure it saw as the true threat, and them only nuisances unworthy of it wasting its strength on.
Izuku collapsed onto the ground with a jolt, the white light that powered his quirks having finally been drained as he had lept across a spiky...hallway? He wasn't sure why there was a long stretch filled to the brim with spikes, but he was thankful he had successfully escaped with the reassurance that they wouldt be able to follow, as long as they did not have wings of course. Taking a moment to contemplate that thought and the large number of bugs and insects that had wings he quickly started going deeper in the stone maze.
Wandering around the maze of brown stone Izuku could only wonder why this had happened to him, he was retired damnit! He had come to terms that he would be unable to physically help till his dying breath when he had lived years in his early to later prime with the help of Eri, but after she had died in a ambush he had been stuck by the fact that his strength made it impossible for him to actually die on the field, and as much as people thought it, he wasn't suicidal! He had finally settled down in a nice house at the ripe physical age of 382(perks of gaining the life span his predecessors had lost.) years old and a overwhelming mental age of 793 years out on the field, it was only when his body had gotten so weak that he physically couldn't even use OFA to embolden his body to move any further that he had retired.
Yet here he was, in another world as a hero long too old for the shit that was being thrown at him, but now he had a new body, and he was a hero, and he was going to make damn good use of his new life to do what symbolized him. Help people even if it killed him.
'Welp, time to go to work, just got to find a place to set up first' with a vague plan made up he delved even deeper into this new land, set on helping in any way he could, and that included saving his siblings.
Now for those that notice any discrepancies I decided to have it where Izuku unknowingly had been branded as the first born of his kin and involuntary sucked soul out of the air, and certain quirks use up more soul than others. So, sense he was only using a low percentage of OFA it used only a little bit of soul while something constant like float or danger sense constantly drained on his soul reserve's more than OFA taking a certain amount in exchange for a certain percent of enhancement.
Now for those curious I decided to make it that Izuku required soul to use his quirks as his current form has no capability of getting exhausted, and using a quirk used up stamina in MHA, I decided I didn't want to make Izuku to powerful in the beginning and basically squash everyone in his way.
Also I decided that this Izuku isn't going to be a teenager but a REALLY old dude that just wanted to live out the rest of his days in peace and is already sick of everyone's crap before they can even start something and is over all, put simply, too old for this shit.
Review!...or something.
