A new day had risen over Etheria. After the defeat of Horde Prime, not only was Etheria saved from his reign but any planet that was under his rule. However, there was still work to be done. Etheria needed rebuilding from years of war and destruction.
In the war room of the castle in Brightmoon, the rulers of the different kingdoms of Etheria sat to discuss the future of their world. The one leading this meeting was Glimmer of Brightmoon. To her side were her friends Adora, Catra, and Bow. The others that gathered around the table were Princesses Perfuma, Mermista, Entrapta, Frosta, Scorpia, Nettossa, and Spinrella. There also sat the head sorceress of Mystacor, Castaspella and Glimmer's father, Micah. "I'm so excited," Scorpia said with glee, "my first royal meeting. I think the only thing that came closest to one were those force captain meetings-"
"Scorpia, can we please discuss why we're here?" Glimmer asked.
"Oh sorry," Scorpia apologized.
"Ahem, I've gathered all of you here today to discuss our progress on rebuilding our kingdoms."
"Scorpia and I have made great progress with Plumeria," Perfuma said, "if we continue our team work, we'll have it back to normal."
"That's great to hear. Anyone else?"
"The kingdom of snows is holding strong," Frosta answered, "we'll be able to assist the other kingdoms with rebuilding."
"I hate to be the bringer of bad news," Entrapta interrupted, "but Brightmoon, Salineas, Mystacor and the fright zone are still in dire need of rebuilding. And according to my calculations, it will take years to fully make Etheria normal again."
"I have a suggestion for that, " Catra added, "We could ask Hordak, prime clones, and ex horde to assist us."
Though it was an idea that would make rebuilding their world go faster, half of the people at the table had doubts. "Well, that is a… nice idea," Spinerella said.
"It's just that," Frosta said as she tried to express her opinion.
"So many people were hurt by the horde," Micah said, "as much as we want to give them a chance to start over, our people won't be too keen on that idea."
Catra felt like she contributed nothing to this meeting and started to be depressed. Adora sensed this and said, "But if we don't ask for their help, it could take years to fix the damage done to Etheria."
"Adora, we care about you and Catra's opinions," Bow said, "but we need to think of our people."
"Then where are we going to find another kingdom's worth of people to help us?"
"Don't worry," Micah said, "Glimmer and I have already sent word to the lords of the Crystal of Truth. The Skeksis are willing to talk to us about rebuilding Etheria and our connections."
"The Skeksis?"
"They're the keepers of the Crystal of Truth," Glimmer answered, "It's one of the runestones of Etheria. And the most important one."
"None of us have spoken to them in years," Castaspella said.
"Because they're soooo egotistical," Mermista added, "they think they're better than everyone, so we stopped talking to them."
"But now, this is our chance to strengthen our alliance with them," Micah said, "The Emperor, SkekSo has agreed to send two representatives of his kingdom to Brightmoon in exchange that we send representatives to the meadowlands. Adora, we'd like you to be one of them."
Adora wasn't big on making deals with other kingdoms. But she took a glance at Catra and replied, "I'll go if you consider Catra's suggestion."
"We'll consider it," Glimmer said.
"I'll accompany you to the meadowlands," Castaspella said.
"I'd also like Catra to accompany me as well," Adora suggested. Catra's ears went up as she heard it.
In the castle of the crystal, SkekSo sat on his throne with Skeksil, SkekZok, and SkekVar by his side. SkekOk and SkekLach entered the throne room and stood in front of their emperor. "What is it that you want to discuss, Sire?" SkekOk asked.
"I have a task for the two of you," SkekSo replied, "the kingdoms of Etheria have sent a message to us requesting that they wish to reestablish our alliance and help rebuild. I'm sending you two to Brightmoon as representatives for our agreement."
"But I don't want to go to Brightmoon!" SkekLach complained.
"Why should we waste time with them?" SkekVar asked, "we should be focusing on our own kingdom."
"Their request isn't something we cannot decline, General," SkekSil said.
"Why you-"
"Enough!" SkekSo exclaimed, "The chamberlain is right. If we decline their request, we will be seen as weak. We must show Etheria that the Skeksis are strong as ever. You two will depart in the morning." SkekOk and SkekLach nodded in agreement and began to exit the throne room.
