It was another day at the SMG4 universe.
When SMG3 woke up, he found that he was at an abandoned cathedral. 'Wait…this place looked familiar,' he said. He then found X and FM, lying next to him, waking up. 'What…What happened?' Asked FM. 'No idea,' SMG3 replied. Suddenly, X pointed something towards him, with terror on his face. It was SMG4 and Mario, who was grabbed by Zero. They screamed loudly, but it was no use. They soon disappeared into the void, and they turned lifeless.
'SMG4! Mario!' SMG3 shouted, sadly. 'Is it just the effects of the Nightmare Stone?' Asked X. 'No…It was the exact same feeling when you guys turned lifeless. And this… this is not illusion,' answered SMG3. The trio looked around, and saw that the recoloured Marios became lifeless again. Suddenly, Zero noticed the trio there, and started to chase them. 'Run for your life!' Shouted FM.
They ran and ran, but when they have just found the exit, some of the lifeless recoloured Marios jumped out from nowhere, blocking their way. 'What can we do? There's a lot of them!' SMG3 asked. 'Fight them, of course!' Shouted FM while he just knocked out some of them. After a while of fighting their way out, the trio was already really exhausted. When they finally reached the exit, another bunch of the lifeless guys blocked their way again. 'How can we fight back like this!?' Moaned FM. 'We'll help!' Said a chorus of voices, and they fought the lifeless Marios away. 'Zero is coming. Run!' Said one of the voices.
