Author's Note: A couple edits were made to chapter one, but don't feel like you have to reread it if you've read it when it was first posted. This chapter has a lot of action that's more brutal that the bar fight from my one-shot. I'm trying my best to get this story on a schedule, but it might take another chapter or two. Enjoy! -Rainbow

Live Like You Were Dying

Chapter Two

It's About To Get Dirty

In another part of the crowded warehouse Jeremy was weaving in and out of groups of people trying to find the bar he had spotted Wynonna at and hopefully Dolls on the way so he could hand over the extra bags of their secret weapon. Jeremy didn't normally feel social anxiety, but since this is one of the team's first official BBD missions together, he was determined to make Dolls and Doc proud. He was rarely used in the field and when he was, it'd usually only be for simple surveillance and calling in backup if things went south, which they did half the time. Now he wanted to be more than that. He wanted to be more useful than just the team's scientist working in their makeshift lab at the police station or Shorty's basement. He dreamed of proving himself and regularly joining the team on field missions just like Waverly, Rosita, and Nicole had done the past couple years. This was his chance.

"Oh god, don't Earp this up, Jeremy," he said to himself. He awkwardly smiled at almost everyone who looked his way and reminded himself to stop. "Probably shouldn't draw attention to myself. Come on, Jeremy."

Despite having spotted Wynonna earlier from the other roof, entering the warehouse from the opposite side from where he was threw off his sense of direction inside. He had figured that finding Rosita early on would mean he would easily find everyone else, but he underestimated the number of blocked off areas and the number of people. He aimlessly wandered around for a few minutes then finally saw Waverly flirting with a stocky muscular man who was guarding an emergency exit. He tilted his head in confusion and wondered why she felt the need to do one of her classic undercover tactics. He took a deep breath and strategically approached Waverly along the wall she was standing by. He took one of the bags from his jacket pocket and held it in his hand as he inched closer to Waverly, hoping the guard wouldn't pay any attention to him. He looked towards the crowd, but kept his friend in his peripheral as he side stepped every few seconds. Once directly behind her, he casually leaned against the wall and glanced down towards the emergency exit and noticed that only half the push bar on the door was lined with the powder. He nodded when he figured out the answer to his earlier question. After a few moments he "accidently" bumped his leg into Waverly's. The sudden movement made her almost fall forward and startled her.

"Oh, sorry," he said. Waverly turned to him and smiled in relief to see a friendly face. The guard glared at him, annoyed that Jeremy interrupted their conversation.

"Hey, watch it! You even old enough to be in here?" he asked. Waverly rested a hand on his chest.

"Easy now, I'm sure we've all sneaked into places we weren't supposed to," she said playfully. "We're all just trying to have some fun in this podunk town and get a little action." He smiled back and forgot all about Jeremy.

Waverly continued flirting with him and subtly slid her hand behind her back and wiggled her fingers at Jeremy's arm then opened her palm. Jeremy handed over the bag while looking in the opposite direction. She said some sort of joke that made the guard throw his head back in laughter giving her the chance to quickly line the rest of the push bar of the door with their secret weapon. The shimmery powder's purpose was similar to salt, where demons wouldn't be able to pass through the doors, but humans could still escape. This would allow the team to either incapacitate or kill enough of their targets before BBD's booking and clean up crew arrived. Jeremy smirked to himself with growing confidence that tonight will finally be the night that he proved himself. He pushed himself off the wall and blended back into the crowd in search of other teammates.

Nicole's years of being a Sheriff's Deputy meant she was very by-the-book when on the job just like Dolls. As soon as she had entered the warehouse, she took note of all exits, security cameras, guards who were packing, and patrons who could also be potential demons. Every so often she felt as if someone had their eyes on her, but she figured it was the guards or random people checking her out. She could get it as easily as any of the other women on the team, but of course no other woman compared to her girlfriend Waverly. She was the only one who had managed to find Wynonna and Dolls at the bar while wandering the warehouse. She figured they had their side of the plan under control so she moved on to find Jeremy to get the powder so she could do her part. While making her way through the crowd she once again felt like someone was watching her. She turned her head and locked eyes with a voluptuous woman in a low cut tank top and navy blue leather jacket with long flowing brunette tresses and icy blue eyes that looked like they were…

"Glowing?" Nicole whispered. The woman looked so alluring, Nicole didn't realize she and everyone else in the vicinity had stopped and were staring at her. It was as if this mysterious woman had them in a slow-motion trance. The woman had a seductive look in her eyes that now seemed like normal blue eyes as she sauntered her way in Nicole's direction. The woman looked Nicole up and down then reached out and softly placed her hand on Nicole's exposed forearm as she walked by. Her fingers left a faint glowing trail on Nicole's skin that went unnoticed. The contact sent fluttering chills up Nicole's arm that spread to the rest of her body that incited mild arousal in her. Her mouth fell slightly open and her heart rate rose while her mind turned to fog, yet so focused on this beautiful woman. The mission and her girlfriend seemed like far away thoughts in the back of her mind. Once the woman broke eye contact with Nicole and removed her hand, she turned her mesmerising attention to a drunk man and dragged him away into the crowd. After a few moments, Nicole finally snapped out of it and tried shaking the fog out of her mind. The night's mission came back into focus, but now it was the strange encounter that felt far away and vague except for the glowing blue eyes. The only reminder she had was a warm phantom sensation on her arm that confused her even more. She looked down at her arm and rubbed it like she was rubbing off some foreign substance, but nothing was there. She looked around the area to try to place who had walked by only to catch Waverly watching her with a mix of jealousy, concern and confusion. When Nicole saw the look in her girlfriend's eyes, it dawned on her that she had witnessed the entire thing and immediately felt guilt, but at the same she wasn't entirely sure as to what she was guilty of.

"Hey, you ok? What the hell was that?" asked a familiar voice. Nicole turned around and saw Rosita.

"I, uh… don't know...," was all Nicole could think to say.

"You don't know? What, you don't remember drooling over some chick who was eye-fucking you just now?" she asked. She sounded borderline defensive as if on Waverly's behalf. The two of them had become close friends in the past few months.

"Wait, what?!" Nicole asked. "How do I not remem-"

"Your lady didn't look too happy by the way," Rosita told her. Nicole looked back in Waverly's direction, but she was no longer there.

"Shit," Nicole nervously ran her hand through her hair. "Rosita, I swear I don't know what happened," Nicole pleaded. Rosita looked hard into Nicole's eyes and saw the genuine confusion in them.

"Great, a mind-fucking demon we don't yet know about. This oughta be fun," she said sarcastically. "I'll keep an eye out for her and you better stay away before you give Waverly a reason to decide who to kill first, her or you." She looked around to make sure no one was watching them as she held up an empty canvas bag. "I was able to put this stuff on a couple doors so far. Have they all been lined yet?"

"Um...I'm not sure," Nicole took a deep breath to ease her anxiety. "I was trying to find Jeremy. He's passing out the bags. Is Doc ready?"

"Cocky as ever, but it weirdly adds to his charm," she said with a smile. "Most of the exits should be sealed by now for our ultimate cage match. Have you seen our fearless leader and alcoholic?" Rosita asked.

"They're at the bar over there," she waved her hand in the general direction. "I think they found something because they weren't moving."

"Or someone. I'm gonna go back and make sure Doc doesn't accidentally put average Joe in a coma. That'd just be a bad look for us both. Be careful will ya?" she said. She placed a reassuring hand on Nicole's shoulder then walked away. Nicole took a deep breath and continued on her way.

Rosita got back to the ring just in time to see Doc getting introduced along with a younger man built like a tall rugby player named Ronan. Wouldn't be the first time Doc faced off against someone bigger. Despite being a gunslinger, he knew old west boxing and had been updating his style with modern street fighting. Rosita did her best to keep her nerves down. She took a deep breath and adjusted her boyfriend's hat that still rested on her head, it gave her comfort. She stationed herself at the nearest exit by the ring, just as planned and added extra powder just in case, knowing that lots of people will soon run to this door.

"Are you ready for some blood?!" yelled a tall and lanky tattooed man with an old beat up megaphone. The crowd cheered while the two opponents stretched before approaching each other. The announcer stood in between them. "The more blood, the more money you get. Got it? Last one standing, wins. Easy," he said. Doc and Ronan nodded then the announcer backed out into the crowd.

"You ready to die, old man?" asked Ronan with raised fists. He started hopping back and forth on his toes and kept his fists close to his cheekbones. Doc simply stood his ground and curled his fists up and patiently waited.

"Oh, I've met Death in many incarnations. You, son, are not one of them," Doc responded. The younger man paused in confusion and dropped his fists just below his chin. Doc smirked to himself then struck out a left punch that landed on the man's exposed cheekbone with enough force that made him start to lean to the side. Doc combined it with an angled right uppercut that landed on Ronan's temple making him whiplash back to the left and fall into the crowd. The crowd went wild as a small group pushed the dazed fighter back into the ring. Doc repositioned himself then once again stood his ground with raised fists. Rosita let out a breath she had held in. She was indeed impressed by her boyfriend's fast move. The younger fighter wiped the blood from his eyebrow and looked at Doc with rage.

"Cheap shot, asshole," he growled. He lunged towards Doc who barely managed to sidestep and push Ronan aside.

"No rules here, boy," Doc said. This time he went on the offensive and stepped towards his opponent. Ronan kept his arms in to block Doc's body shots. He allowed one of them to land on his ribs and while Doc's fist was still down, the fighter threw out a punch landing it on the cowboy's exposed jaw. The blow made him stagger back. The crowd cheered again, except Rosita who rolled her eyes. Because the hit took Doc by surprise, the younger fighter took the opportunity to lunge forward again and this time had enough precision to get one hit in Doc's stomach and the other in his ribs. Ronan straightened up as Doc fell to the ground and spat out blood. Rosita was tempted to rush closer to the ring to check on him, but didn't abandon her post. She anxiously prayed for him to get up.

"Get up, Holliday!" she yelled. Doc was still gasping for air when he faintly heard her voice. He glanced up and could make out her figure between the legs of the crowd in front of him.

"Yes, ma'am," he whispered then stood back up. He leaned his head back and took a deep breath.

"Let's go, John Wayne, come at me!" Ronan taunted. He stepped forward and swung another punch before Doc even had his fists up to defend himself. Luckily, Doc was quick enough to turn his body to the side to shield himself with his shoulder and upper arm that caught the brunt of the blow. Then Ronan landed a hit on Doc's lower back that made him jolt upright and fall into the crowd. Rosita's concern quickly turned into frustration. She stepped forward and a heavy hand fell on her shoulder.

"He can handle himself," Dolls told her.

"Where have you been?" she asked.

"Wynonna found Whiskey Jim's successor. He's in a room behind the bar," he said.

"Of course he is. She got lucky with that excuse," she said. "Where's everyone else?"

"Covering the main exits like you are, but I wanted to come and make sure you stick to your job," he said with extra emphasis at the end.

"Of course. I'm just being in character," she said motioning to the people nearby.

"Right," Dolls said with a faint smile. "Only step in if it gets out of hand."

"Yup, heard you the first time, boss," she said, no longer looking at him, but at the fight instead. "Anything else I can do for you?"

"Nope," he said, ignoring her attitude. "I'm going back to Wynonna and be her backup. Stay here. Stay alert," he said. Her only response was a dramatic salute without looking away from the fight. He left without another word.

Even though she was welcomed into the team and Doc was reinstated, she could tell that Doc and Wynonna still didn't fully trust her. Their black and white views on anyone who wasn't human frustrated her to no end and made respecting their authority a hassle. Having the privilege of being the exception didn't always sit well with her either because it felt conditional half the time. One suspicious move and she'd be on their shit list again. The only people she fully trusted, besides her boyfriend, were Waverly and Jeremy.

The fight went on and the young fighter maintained the upper hand while Doc only landed a quick punch here and there to get his opponent off long enough to catch his breath. Both men were bloodied and bruised and it fed the crowd's riotous cheers. Rosita kept a close eye on the young fighter to find some sort of tell to shout to Doc. By now the two fighters got more creative than just throwing punches. Knees, elbows and take downs were thrown into the mix. Doc hiked up a hard knee right into Ronan's jaw then took a step back to catch his breath again. Ronan spat out blood and a broken tooth. Rosita zeroed in on his eyes and saw it. They flashed fiery red with smoky blackness emanating around them then went back to normal in a blink. He screamed out in fury then charged at Doc, hugging his midsection and tackling him to the ground. Then he straddled him and threw rapid fire punches anywhere he could while Doc did his best to block with his arms. Rosita looked up at the board above the ring and saw someone changing the numbers on it. Doc's odds were going down and the pool for Ronan was going up. Her frustration grew and was nearly fuming. She was no longer watching as a worried girlfriend, but as a teammate who knew how to fight… and occasionally gamble.

"Oh hell no," she said and marched right up to the side of the ring closest to Doc who was still struggling on the ground. She crouched down and yelled, "Knock his demon ass out!" Doc peeked to the side at the sudden sound of her voice then looked his opponent in the eyes and caught a glimpse of his face fading back to normal. Doc mustered an adrenaline boost and shifted his weight to knock the revenant over. Ronan rolled away and Doc quickly got to his feet and began kicking him in the ribs as hard as he could. Meanwhile, Rosita had gone up to the revenant manning the chalkboard.

"Whaddaya want?" he grunted.

"Nothing yet," she said. She crossed her arms and waited for Doc to look her way. He tipped over when Ronan grabbed his ankle and tried twisting it. They both moved away from each other and scrambled to their feet before facing each other. They both raised their fists with blood and sweat streaking down their faces. That was when Rosita made her move. She pulled out her wallet, took out some bills and fanned them out and waved them in front of her. Doc noticed the movement in his peripheral above his opponent's shoulder. He focused his vision on Rosita and saw her handing the money over to the revenant who then added it to what looked like Ronan's pool. Doc's eyes widened and he gave her an exasperated expression. Rosita simply shrugged her shoulders and tipped his hat to him. Doc grunted under his breath.

"The hell ya' doin'?" he asked under his breath. Rosita walked closer to the edge of the ring and crossed her arms over her chest.

"You can knockout Dragon-man, but not him? Dolls is twice his size," she said. She never wasted any time getting the most out of him when duty called for it. Others would light a single match under him to get his fire going, but she'd pour gasoline, light the whole box of matches and toss it in. Doc clenched his jaw and raged filled his whole body. He looked back at his opponent with murderous eyes that made him take a beat of a pause.

"I'll send him to hell myself!" he growled out. He lunged forward and grabbed his opponent's head and yanked it down and slammed it into his raised knee. When Ronan's head ricocheted back, Doc swung an elbow to his temple sending him back down. On the way to the ground, he kicked his head like a football in midair that sent the revenant's whole body flying back. Blood sprayed into the shocked crowd that erupted into raging applause. Rosita's eyebrows rose as she whistled and applauded her boyfriend.

"That's what I'm talking about!" yelled the announcer. He ran up to the bloody heap on the ground and began counting down from ten. Doc turned his back away from them and walked towards Rosita. He believed the fight was over and that he was the victor. He was about halfway across the ring when he heard something break to pieces and people screaming. He turned back around to see the not-so-out-cold revenant back on his feet and attacking with vengeance with a splintered piece of chair leg in his hand. Doc braced himself to try to disarm him, but seconds before they made contact a shot rang through the air and the revenant froze mid step then fell to the floor. Rosita instinctively reached out and pulled Doc back as the revenant was brutally pulled into the floor back to the depths of hell. Nicole, Jeremy, and Waverly suddenly pushed themselves to the front of the crowd to see what had happened. Everyone around stood in shocked silence then turned to where the shot came from and stared at the source.

"Whoa, dinner theater really stepping up the special effects amirite?" Wynonna said with a hint of a drunken slur. She swayed side to side as she awkwardly tapped Peacemaker on her thigh. The fact she made the shot in the first place just showed the perks of being the Earp Heir. Dolls stood next to her with his eyes squeezed shut and pinching the bridge of his nose. The door behind the bar blew open and revenants bursted out with their eyes blazing and guns drawn. The leader did a double take at the supposed blonde woman holding Peacemaker. He narrowed his eyes at Wynonna's face and finally recognized her. Wynonna looked around her then down at her gun and suddenly tried hiding behind her back.

"Get the fuckin' Earp Heir!" yelled the leader. In an instant, all the revenants in the vicinity drew their weapons and went crazy. Humans in the crowd lost their minds and scattered in a panic.

"Tacos are tasty! Tacos are tasty!" screamed Wynonna. It was the team's code phrase for when plans went to shit. She had never sobered up so fast as she dove under the bar in between her drinking buddies who were still passed out on the floor. One by one she began taking out revenants with Peacemaker while everyone else jumped into action as well. Dolls pulled out his BBD standard issue handgun with laser scope and covered Wynonna. He also aimed for the bottles along the countertop so the broken glass would go flying towards their enemies.

"Jeremy, call for backup, NOW!" Dolls commanded as he shot at anything that attacked them. Jeremy was being shoved in every direction by people running away. He clumsily took out his phone and dialed for backup. Afterwards he ran to every exit to make sure the powder stayed in place. While all the humans easily flooded out of every door, demons would be met with a harsh blast that would throw them back. Rosita and Doc took out the revenants by the ring and stole their guns. Rosita armed herself with a sawed off shotgun while Doc found a pair of glocks.

"Tallying starts now! I've got two so far," she reminded him. Doc laughed.

"I already have you beat with four," he said as he fired off at their enemies.

"First one doesn't count! He got up and then Wynonna killed him," she corrected. Doc glared at her again and she just kissed him on the cheek right before shooting a demon between the eyes. "Three!"

"They're on their way!" Jeremy shouted as he made the rounds to all the exits and helped humans who had fallen in the fray.

In another part of the warehouse, Waverly and Nicole were standing back to back and handling themselves just as well as the rest of the team. Nicole had punched out one of the guards, stole his gun and extra rounds of ammo. Waverly had her small pistol in one hand and a throwing knife at the ready in another. She couldn't keep up with how many different demons she was fighting let alone even know what she was fighting. As her adrenaline built up inside, she felt a different kind of energy build up, one that felt foreign but stronger. She brushed it off as an exhilarating boost in her fight or flight reflex.

"Just another Saturday night in Purgatory," Waverly joked. She threw a knife at a horned demon, but missed. "Ah, fudge! Baby, on your six!" Nicole glanced to the side and shot the demon in the chest.

"How many of those knives do you have left?" Nicole asked. The situation was a bit out of her experience and she was having a difficult time sorting out the demons from the humans in the hectic crowd. The most enemies she's fought at once in the past were around five or six, not hundreds, but she did her best to shake off her hesitation and maintain focus.

"Uh...four? Maybe five? Kinda hard to keep track right now!" she responded. Nicole suddenly yelled out in pain. A large body had just come out of nowhere and tackled her into the crowd without warning. Waverly felt it behind her and when she turned around her girlfriend was gone.

"Nicole?!" she frantically looked around and saw Nicole getting thrown into a wooden table that splintered on impact. "Nicole!" she screamed, but before she could run to her, a revenant grabbed her from behind, picked her up and started squeezing tightly. She tried kicking at her attacker's knees and reaching for a knife with no luck.

"It'll be so satisfying killing you in front of your sister!" said the revenant.

"Help! Tacos ar-", she wheezed out. The revenant then cried out in pain when Jeremy appeared spraying mace in his face. He dropped Waverly and vigorously rubbed his eyes as he ran away. Jeremy triumphantly smiled then checked on his friend.

"Are you ok? Anything broken?" he asked. Waverly was gasping for breath and shakily clutched Jeremy's arms.

"Nicole! Someone took Nicole! She's hurt!" she huffed, pointing in the direction she saw her. Jeremy looked around, but no one was near the broken table. They were about to run towards it, but were forced in the opposite direction by the crowd and another demon attacking them.

"She can handle herself! Let's go! We'll find her later," he assured her. He pulled Waverly away in search of another teammate.

When Nicole was thrown into the table, all the air in her lungs flew out. She gasped for breath as her attacker reached for her throat, but Nicole held a tight grip on her gun and quickly shot the attacker's hand away then his chest. He cried out then ran away. Nicole forced herself to rollover onto her knees. The movement made her grunt out in pain. She crawled away a few feet before standing up and rounding a corner to regain control of her breathing.

"God, I'm gonna feel this for a week," she said to herself. Pain radiated everywhere as well as nausea. She checked her gun and reloaded a new clip. She closed her eyes, said a quick prayer and took a few deep breaths to build up courage then she opened her eyes and turned the corner into the chaos. The surge in adrenaline had her aim on point despite the painful soreness throughout her body. She made sure to change directions often as she shot her way through the crowd to try to avoid any more surprises. She had shot through to her last clip of ammo and was trying to pick her shots very carefully to make the most of what she had left. At this point, most of the humans had made it outside while demons were scrambling to find a way out. Some of the more desperate ones climbed the stairs and catwalks to fling themselves out the windows while the rest tried fighting the team head on. One demon in particular was very determined to escape unscathed.

"Hey, there Red, wanna help a lady get out of here?" asked a sultry voice. It was the mysterious woman from before. Nicole immediately pulled her jacket sleeves down with one hand while keeping her aim with the other.

"Who are you?" Nicole asked. The woman approached Nicole, their eyes locked while they cautiously circled each other.

"Ooh, just a gal who's starting to get hangry," she said. Her eyes flashed bright blue at the last word. "If you let me go I can still make it in time for happy hour nachos and maybe an off the menu...midnight snack." She gave Nicole a smirk and a wink. Nicole remained poised to shoot if she stepped closer. The woman then stopped moving, stood her ground and sized up Nicole to calculate her next move. Her eyes were now glowing brightly, but looked like they were pulsating too.

"What are you?" Nicole asked.

"Now, now," she said. She raised her finger and waved it at Nicole. "That's a second date question. Our first one isn't over yet."

"Sorry, I'm taken," Nicole said. She flinched when she heard a loud bang somewhere nearby behind her. She couldn't help but turn her head towards the noise and the woman took advantage of the split second opportunity. She sprang forward and swung her leg upwards and before Nicole could react, the gun was kicked out of her hands. The woman moved in for a punch, but Nicole ducked and felt a puff of air centimeters above her head before rolling away. She was about to dive for her gun, but saw it be kicked further into the chaos and disappear. She immediately reached for her switchblades and jumped up to face the mysterious demon. She raised one fist to protect her face and lowered the other to protect her midsection. Both firmly held the switchblades upside down so the blades pointed outwards.

"Cute. We both know you're too weak to take me on. It's a pity how fragile you humans are," she said. The statement made Nicole clench her jaw. "But I must say, the taste…" she licked her lips and her eyes glowed brighter. "So gratifying and...titillating." she sensually added. This time Nicole gulped at the insinuation which made the woman giggle to herself.

"Just shut up and fight," Nicole said. The woman made the first move by throwing quick combos and Nicole struggled to block each one. Thankfully her switchblades gave extra protection by nicking the woman's knuckles and arms which ruined the sleeves of her leather jacket. The woman stepped back and looked over her jacket. Nicole noticed that the scratches on her knuckles quickly healed over. "Oh, come on," she sighed to herself.

"My boytoy paid good money for this," she said, then reached into her jacket and pulled out a silver stake with a thick round handle then threw off her torn jacket.

"Was his name Angel or Spike?" Nicole joked. Wynonna would've been proud of that one. This time she made the first move by trying a roundhouse kick, but the woman easily caught Nicole's foot and elbowed her knee making her groan out in pain and buckle to the ground. Then she knelt down and drove her stake towards Nicole's chest, but Nicole formed an 'X' with her arms to block it and shove it away to get back up. Without missing a beat, the woman raised her knee to kick Nicole in the ribs. When contact was made, Nicole managed to quickly slice the woman's thigh with one blade and her ribs with the other. The woman staggered back, this time she wasn't healing as fast.

"You're lucky I didn't feed on that guy earlier. Women taste better anyway," she said before pouncing.

"Now that I do agree with," Nicole quickly said before blocking another blow. The woman grabbed Nicole's wrist and roughly twisted it, causing her to drop her switchblade. The woman then headbutted Nicole who took a few shaky steps back. Her adrenaline was running out due to the increasing pain and exhaustion, but she wasn't one to give up. With fast heavy breaths, she wiped her face and raised her fists once again, but this time her body slowly swayed from side to side. The nausea made it difficult for her to concentrate. The woman shot forward with the stake outstretched in her hand and Nicole had just enough strength left to grab the woman's hand and spin her body around so that her back was pushed up against her and the stake was pointed into her stomach. Nicole's other hand then held the switchblade up to the woman's neck. Thinking victory was finally hers, Nicole leaned into the woman's ear.

"Who's weak now?" Nicole whispered. She started to push the stake and switchblade into the woman who only laughed.

"Joke's on you, Red," she said. With her freehand, she reached for Nicole's that was on the stake and twisted it which triggered it to extend into a short staff. They both cried out in pain then froze at the sudden shock. The sharpened end not only went into the woman's abdomen, but exited through Nicole's back. Nicole's grip on the woman fell away, allowing the woman to twist the handle again to release them from the stake. Nicole was about to fall to the ground, but the woman grabbed the front of her shirt and pulled her closer. Blood trickled from both of their mouths as the woman leaned forward and kissed Nicole who was losing consciousness. When she pulled away, Nicole's mouth fell open and the woman was about to feed, but a gunshot into her shoulder interrupted her. She turned to see Waverly holding up a trembling pistol with tears streaking down her face. The woman's eyes blazed blue with anger. She let go of Nicole who collapsed to the ground badly bleeding. The woman then walked towards Waverly.

"I'm gonna kill you," Waverly said with a quivering voice. The woman weakly laughed as she approached Waverly. She fired again, but her pistol was empty. Her eyes widened in panic. The woman slapped the small gun away and grabbed Waverly's face with both hands and pulled it close to hers. Waverly tried screaming, but no sound came out, instead a pinkish red energy force flowed out of Waverly's mouth into the woman's. A warm yet painful feeling spread through Waverly making her feel weaker by the second. The woman stopped and pulled away as she looked over Waverly in confusion.

"You taste…," the woman whispered. All of her wounds were now healed. Normally it took killing a human to fully heal the damage she's sustained, but something was different. "Never tasted that before." She leaned in to feed again, but the sound of shattering windows and steel doors bursting open stopped her. She looked around to see men in all black military gear swarming in. She reluctantly released Waverly and rushed towards one of the broken windows.

"Waverly!" screamed Wynonna who was reloading peacemaker. "Someone catch the bitch!" The woman easily fought off the BBD agents who got in her way as she jumped and climbed up one of the catwalks and jumped out the window. Wynonna and Rosita rushed to Waverly's side while Jeremy and Doc ran to Nicole. Dolls called for medical assistance for both of them.

"Nicole?" Waverly coughed out. She turned towards where her girlfriend laid motionless and her heart instantly dropped. "No, no, no...NICOLE!" she began to turn hysterical as she tried pushing her sister and friend away. Doc raised Nicole so she was leaning back against him and used his shirt to try to stop the bleeding. Jeremy checked for a pulse.

"Hey, hey she's gonna be ok, baby girl," Wynonna said. She held her sister back and hugged her tightly.

"Nicole get up!" Waverly cried out. Rosita turned them away so Waverly wouldn't get a closer look at the damage.

"Your girl is a fighter, Waves," Rosita said.

"Where's medic?! Get them in here NOW!" Dolls yelled at the other agents.

"Oh god, I don't feel a pulse!" Jeremy said loudly. Waverly cried out again and Doc smacked him on the arm. "I'm sorry! I-I don't- oh my god. Uh, chest compressions!" He motioned for Doc to gently lay her down again and started to firmly repeatedly push down on her chest then blow into her mouth. Doc kept two fingers on Nicole's neck waiting to feel a pulse.

"I still don't feel anything," he said.
