"Hello" - Jutsu

*7 years after the attack*

A small blond-haired boy was watching his parents and his sister through his bedroom window. He saw both of his parents training with his twin sister. He looked back inside at his dresser. On top of it, there was a picture of his family from two years ago. He was standing right in front of his dad while his sister Hikari was standing in front of his mom. The picture was of what seemed like a perfect family. Two happy parents with two happy kids. However, ever since the twins' fifth birthday, Naruto's parents had started to train his sister Hikari. Naruto then looked back through the window and still saw the rest of his family outside.

'What happened that day? Why is she getting all the attention from them now? Whatever, I shouldn't be worrying about this now it's now like anything will change.' Minato and Kushina had barely even noticed him anymore. It was as if he hadn't even mattered anymore. He was barely noticed by them anymore. Every time he asked to train with them they just told him that they were busy or said his sister needed it more. He never understood why they were being like this to him. At least his sister would still hang out with him when she wasn't training. However, she had slowly been picking up on her parent's attitudes and also began neglecting her brother a little. However, some others outside of the family had been friendly to him. They paid more attention to him than his actual family.

*Flashback to his 6th birthday*

Naruto was walking around the Namikaze Compound during his birthday. He had just gotten the usual stuff from his parents. He had just gotten things like more ramen coupons and different clothes from everyone. However, his sister had just gotten a set of kunai and shuriken from his parents. He noticed that things had been different since their last birthday, but he didn't really know why. There were many people in the compound partying and having fun. He didn't recognize most of them.

Naruto sat down and started silently thinking to himself about all the past events that happened this year. Things were different than they had been before. His parents became more distant from him.

'What happened? How come they barely even notice me anymore? They only pay attention to me when I need food or when I wake up. They barely are even there for me anymore.' Naruto's thoughts were then interrupted by the sound of his sister's voice. Hikari was always loud and cheerful. Naruto still usually had a happy expression on his face, but he wasn't quite as happy and carefree as his sister.

The feeling was something that he was getting used to. The feeling of loneliness.

"Hey, Naruto-niisan! Do you wanna come and meet some of my friends?" Her tone made it seem like she was more demanding than asking. She wanted her brother to come to talk to someone. She always watched him interact with people. While he was usually always respectful and nice, he would rarely start a conversation with someone if he didn't have to.

"No, I'm fine right now." Naruto didn't want to be bothered at the moment. However, his sister had other plans for him.

"Well, that's too bad because you're coming anyway!" Before Naruto could react, Hikari had already grabbed his arm and began dragging him away.

"HEY! What are you doing?!" Naruto started to protest, but his sister quickly cut him off with her voice.

"NO! You need to hang out with people and not always brood all the time. It almost makes you seem like Sayuri-chan." Naruto was now starting to try to squirm out of his sister's hold, but it was too strong. He didn't know why she was being so insistent about this.

"Who is that?" Naruto asked confused by the name.

"She's a Uchiha and actually one of the people you are about to meet." Hikari now had a smile on her face as she watched her brother stop trying to escape from her grip.

"Do I really have to meet these people? I was fine where I was at." Naruto complained hoping to try to convince his sister that he didn't need to go anywhere.

"No, it's not just my birthday, but also yours so you are going to have some fun." Her tone became a little more strict with each word.

"I was already having fun," Naruto argued back.

"Sitting there brooding on a chair is not having fun, you idiot." Hikari countered.

"It may not be fun to you, but it's fun to me, so could you please let me go now." Naruto practically begged that last part.

"You're being an idiot and for the last time you are going to meet these people and that is FINAL!" That last word and his sister's tone quickly shut Naruto up. He knew his sister had quite the temper so he decided to just accept his fate.

They turned around a corner and Hikari opened one of the doors. She was still dragging Naruto by his arm. Naruto then looked up and saw several people. They were all girls that looked to be around his age. He assumed that they were all his sister's friends. He looked at the girls and saw a girl with midnight blue hair and white eyes. He also saw a one with black hair and black eyes. Another girl had her hair tied into buns. The last girl he saw had long blond hair that was a brighter shade than his or Hikari's.

"Well Naruto are you going to say hi or just keep staring at them!?" his sister half asked and half scolded him. Naruto is not really used to starting a conversation so he found it kind of weird to introduce himself to people he didn't know despite them being the same age.

"Hey everyone, my name is Naruto and I don't really want to be doing this right now." Hikari's eye started to twitch and then she quickly bobbed Naruto on the head. She then gave him a small glare.

"Okay okay, I get it. Sheesh you didn't have to be so harsh." Naruto muttered out still rubbing the sore spot on his head.

"So since you already know that my name is Naruto, I would also like to learn your names." The first person that spoke up was the girl who had her hair in buns. Her hair was brown matching her brown-colored eyes.

"Hi, I'm Tenten it's nice to meet you." The next girl to talk was the one with midnight blue hair and white eyes.

"Hi-i, my na-ame i-is Hi-na-ata, it's ni-ice to me-eet you Na-ar-ruto-kun." The girl had a small blush on her cheeks as she was introducing herself. Naruto noticed this along with her stutter but chose not to comment on it. The next girl to talk was the one with long pale blond hair. He then looked at her eyes and saw that they were filled with this pale greenish-blue color.

"Hey, I'm Ino. I was wondering if you were somehow related to Hikari because your hair color looks pretty similar. It also matches Lord Fourth along with your eyes." The other girls also noticed the similarities between Naruto and Hikari.

"Ummm... Yeah, I'm actually her twin brother." All the girls' eyes except the one over in the corner nearly popped out of their heads from the surprise. The girl with the dark hair in the corner gave a small "Hn" before looking away again. Naruto noticed the reactions from them and gave a small giggle. The group of girls then turned towards Hikari hoping for her to confirm the statement.

"Of course he is my twin just look at him!" Hikari was also finding some amusement from their surprised expressions. Naruto then looked over to the last girl he hadn't met yet. He saw that she was clearly not going to be the one to talk first so he decided to say something.

"Hey, are you going to tell me your name or keep quiet?" The girl just looked at Naruto before responding.

"Hn." Hikari was watching the two interact with some interest. Naruto was somewhat annoyed at the response. The girl just kept her neutral expression.

"Ohh, you know if you can't say an actual word, then people will think your stupid." Naruto mentally patted himself on the back for the joke. However, the person on the receiving end did not take the joke too well. Naruto noticed how she became flustered for a moment before she started to talk.

"My name is Sayuri." She said with some annoyance still in her voice.

"Oh really? My sister just told me about you." Hikari looked at Naruto and saw that he was having a little fun. It was nice to see him doing this instead of him just hanging around by himself.

"She did? What she tell you?" Sayuri asked.

"Well, she told me that you can frustrate people sometimes and tend to brood a lot." Sayuri then shot a glare at Hikari while Hikari then shot her own glare at Naruto.

"Hey calm down I'm only joking around here. You guys don't need to always be so serious. Hikari-chan actually told me that you could be pretty nice, but you are just quiet and don't like to talk much." Both their glares calmed down after he said that. Sayuri for some reason found herself slightly blushing at the compliment. Hikari found herself looking at Naruto knowing that she didn't actually say that. Naruto was just being nice to Sayuri.

"Oh-hh... that's ni-ice I guess." Sayuri found herself stuttering for some reason.

"So you wanna be friends?" Naruto asked with a foxy grin. Sayuri found herself blushing a little more just looking at him.

"Su-ure." Sayuri breathed out with a small stutter. She also found her blush increasing.

'Why am I stuttering like Hinata? What is this feeling? Why is this idiot making me feel like this? What's with this idiot?' Sayuri found herself wondering about the new friend that she just made.

"Welp Hikari-chan I'm gonna go back to where I was at. It was nice meeting you all." With those words, Naruto exited the room.

*End of Flashback*

Naruto was happy his sister decided to introduce him to her friends that day. It was always nice to make a few friends. Naruto eventually ended up meeting all the girls' parents. He always found himself comfortable when he was with either the Hyuugas or the Uchihas. He also got to meet the siblings of both Sayuri and Hinata. Sayuri had an older brother while Hinata had a younger sister.

Naruto honestly didn't know much about Itachi. He heard at times that he was supposedly the Uchiha's prodigy. A hidden talent that is only seen once a generation. Naruto has never actually seen this so-called talent, however. The only things he could pick up from Itachi were that he cared for his younger sister and that he was also a pacifist. One of the things that bothered Naruto was when Itachi would respond to Naruto's questions with a simple "Hn." Naruto was often left wondering about Sayuri's older brother.

Hinata's younger sister Hanabi was stubborn at times, but Naruto always enjoyed the time he spent with the Hyuugas. Naruto always found himself chuckling whenever he called the little girl "firecracker." She would always pout at the nicknames Naruto gave her.

Naruto would often find himself spending more time at other clan compounds rather than his own family's compound. People would tend to notice him more there. Naruto then found himself dozing off again as he let his thoughts consume him once more.

*With Hikari*

She had just gotten done with her training and walked inside. She saw her brother sitting on the couch just looking through a window. It seemed like he was staring off into space.

"Hey, Naruto-nii!" She called out to him. He then snapped out of his daze and turned around to look at her.

"Yes, Kari-chan." Naruto answered in a bored tone. She frowned at the lack of response from him. Hikari noticed that her brother had gotten increasingly introverted ever since their fifth birthday.

*Flashback to 2 years ago (twins are 5)*

"Well Hikari-chan now that your five years old me and your dad think it's time for you to start your training." The little girl's eyes glowed brightly for a second because of the decision from her parents.

"Really! I'm really going to get to be a ninja kaa-chan!" Hikari was a little surprised but still excited at the same time.

"Yes, sweetie we're going to start your training now that you are old enough." Hikari was all excited, but then remembered her twin brother.

"Hey, kaa-chan what about Naruto-nii?" She asked her mom wondering about what they were going to do with him.

"Don't worry Kari-chan, we'll start training him when he is older." Kushina and Minato already talked about Naruto and decided to train him when he is old enough for the academy. They figured that Hikari would need more training to help her control the Nine Tails' chakra.

"Okay, then I guess that's alright!" The little girl responded cheerfully.

*End of Flashback*

'Kaa-chan and Tou-chan haven't been spending as much time with Naruto ever since they started training me. Along with that, it seems that Naruto is distancing himself from everyone else too.' She frowned a little at this thought.

"I was just wondering if you wanted to go do something with me? We could maybe like play a game or something?" She pretty much knew what he was going to say, but still asked anyway.

"No, I'm fine." His tone was not cold, but there was still not very much warmth to it.

"Ohh. I guess I'll just go then." Hikari then left the room to leave Naruto to his thoughts.

Naruto was still thinking about his parents and why they only chose to train his sister but not him. It really confused them as to why they had completely pushed him aside for her. He was still a little grateful to them for the food they gave him along with the bed they provided, but they were family. They should be interacting with him. Loving him. This felt like neglect. Was he jealous? Family was supposed to love you unconditionally no matter what. Right? He didn't know what he was feeling. He was confused. Naruto then decided to go for a walk around the village to clear his head.

*Small Time skip*

Naruto was just walking around the Leaf Village like usual. He was going towards Ichiraku's to have some of his favorite food, ramen. As he walked, however, he could hear some of the villagers saying things about him.

"Hey look it's the fox brat!" One said a little too loud.

"Shut up you know your not supposed to say anything about that." Another whispered.

"Look it's the demon."

"Yea why does Lord Hokage even keep him around."

"Hopefully he doesn't become a ninja."

"Hah! Hopefully he does. It increases the chances of him being killed."

Naruto was somewhat used to all the things he could hear when he walked down the streets. He was used to the verbal abuse. It had always been like this for as long as he could remember, however. He noticed though that the hate he would get from the people of the village only mostly came from the civilians and not the ninja that he would see. They had only ever tried to physically harm him once. However, there had been people there to stop it before anything bad actually happened to Naruto.

*Flashback to 6 months ago*

"Hey look it's the demon!" Naruto heard a loud voice as he was walking down the road back to the Namikaze compound. His parents probably didn't even notice that he was gone at the moment. They were probably training his sister anyways. Ever since they began her training, Naruto could easily leave the house without them noticing.

"Yea it's the demon. Should we do anything about him?"

"Yea I say let's get him. The fox deserves it for everything it has done to us."

A small crowd of around 30 people started to form close by Naruto. He noticed this and heard their words about him. He didn't know why they seemed to hate him and call him names, but he always just kept walking and act like he didn't notice them. However, this situation was different. They were actually going to physically harm him this time. He could handle the name-calling, but he didn't know if he could handle physical abuse. Naruto made the smart decision and decided to run. The small mob was quick to go after him.

Naruto was now running faster than he had ever gone before. He was starting to slowly run out of breath. He had surprising despite his age, but he couldn't run forever.

'Left turn then right turn. Another right turn. Wait what's that! There is a wall in front of me. It's a dead-end! SHIT! What do I do now?! There is nowhere to run anymore!' Naruto was practically screaming inside his head at this point. He became even more nervous when one of the villagers had slowly walked up to him with a kitchen knife in his hand. The villager then picked Naruto up by his shirt collar and threw him against the wall of the alley.

"Looks like you have nowhere to run now demon!" The villager hissed at Naruto.

"Yeah! We have you now monster!" Another shouted.

One of the villagers then went up to Naruto and was just about to hit him with a beer bottle when he felt a hand grip his wrist. Naruto looked at who saved him and saw that the person had a mask on. The other visible thing was his gravity-defying silver hair. Naruto then saw more figures with masks show up.

"What were you planning to do to the kid?" The one with the dog masked asked the villager with a bit of anger in his voice. This was the Hokage's son so why wouldn't he be mad. The villagers were treating him like garbage so he had every right to be.

"I was just giving the demon what it deserves." That was clearly the wrong thing to say as the next thing the villager saw was his wrist being snapped. The man then cried out in pain while clutching his wrist.

"HEY! What are we waiting for? Let's get the fox!" The mob then started to move towards Naruto but was quickly cut off by the ANBU that had just saved Naruto.

"What do you all think you are doing!?" One of the ANBU members had been harshly asking the mob of villagers.

"We are giving the monster fox what it deserves!" Those words seemed to enrage the ANBU members showing as the whole mob was now unconscious on the ground.

"Take them to Anko and Ibiki and tell them to have fun." The man with the dog mask ordered the rest of the group especially emphasizing the last word. He then looked at Naruto and saw him still on the ground slightly alarmed from the events that took place. He then walked towards him and was a little startled to see Naruto squirm a little.

"Hey don't worry I'm not here to hurt you." Kakashi was now trying to comfort Naruto.

'What is happening with Naruto? Where are his parents? Why is he out here alone? Why did the villagers decide to do that? Where is Minato-sensei?' Kakashi's head was filled with various thoughts as to why Naruto was here alone. He really couldn't find a good explanation.

"Here let me help you get up. It looks like you have a cut on your leg." Kakashi then stretched out his hand to help the small blond boy up. Naruto reluctantly took the hand and tried to stand up on his own, but immediately fell backwards. He then felt two arms catch him before he hit the ground. He then looked up and saw that it was the same man with the dog mask who had caught him.

"Uhh-h thank you-u Mr. Dog for savin-ng me." Naruto was fumbling over his words because he wasn't able to quite comprehend the situation.

"Your welcome Naruto. Here let me take you to the hospital so they can heal your leg and I can ask you a few questions." Naruto then found himself being carried to the hospital by Kakashi. They then found themselves in front of the doors at the hospital. Naruto hadn't been here before, so he didn't recognize anything inside. He was carried down a few hallways before he found himself with Kakashi in a room. He was then set down on a small cot that was set up for him. Naruto then found himself looking back at the guy with the dog mask. Kakashi noticed the staring but didn't seem to care at the moment. Instead, he pulled out an orange book and began to read it.

"So uhh Mr. Dog are you gonna keep on that mask?" Naruto was curious as to what he looked like under the mask.

"Hmm... Here I'll take it off and you can also call me Kakashi." Naruto then watched as Kakashi took off his mask to reveal another mask that only hid the bottom half of his face. He also had his leaf headband covering one of his eyes. Naruto was slightly confused as to why this man wore a mask over a mask.

"So uhh why do you were a mask over the mask you already have on your face?" Naruto now had a curious expression on his face wanting an answer from the man.

"Well, that mask is actually part of the job that I have in the village. I'm a ninja as you probably noticed from the headband, but I'm a part of the ANBU. It's one the highest-ranking groups in the village and each of us wears a different mask to hide our faces." Naruto found himself suddenly interested in the information he was just given by Kakashi. He thought over it for a little before turning back to Kakashi.

"Umm... Mr. Kakashi what's under the other mask?" The blond still wanted to know what his face looked like.

"Now now Naruto please don't add Mr. to my name, it makes me feel old." The blond sweat dropped a little as Kakashi paused. "As to your question, under this mask," Kakashi started to pull down his mask a little. Naruto found himself staring intently. "There is another mask!" Kakashi then pulled down the mask all the way to show another mask. Naruto instantly face faulted.

"So enough of your questions for now Naruto, how about you answer some of my questions?" Naruto then nodded and Kakashi then proceeded to ask him about what he was doing.

"Well Naruto, I just wanted to know why you were walking around by yourself. Like where is your mother and sister or your father? Shouldn't you be hanging out with them?" Kakashi was still confused and hoped Naruto would have a good answer to his questions.

"My parents are probably training my sister. It's been that way since our fifth birthday. They pretty much only focus on her now and say that she needs to train to help control her chakra or something. So, that pretty much just leaves me alone all day to do whatever I want." Kakashi slightly frowned at the answer he was given. What was going on at the Namikaze Compound. Why was his sensei only choosing to train Hikari.

"Hmm... Naruto have you at least tried to ask them to train you?" Naruto quickly nodded his head before responding.

"Yeah, I do, but they usually just brush me off and say that my sister needs it more because of her chakra." Kakashi frown deepened as he now understood more about the situation. Both of them looked towards the door as they saw it open. The person that entered had long blond hair that easily passed down her shoulders. Her hair was also tied into two pigtails. She looked to be about 30 years old, however, her actual age was around 50. One of her more noticeable features was her largely sized bust. She also had a mark in the shape of a diamond on the top of her forehead.

"Hello, Tsunade-sama." Kakashi welcomed her in a formal voice. Tsunade's eyes looked at Kakashi first then over towards Naruto.

"You know you don't have to be so formal Kakashi, but enough with the pleasantries. What happened with you brat?" Naruto became slightly annoyed at the name that she gave him but didn't comment on it. Tsunade was one of the people who were usually nice to him. She at least acknowledges him every time she saw him and he was grateful for that.

"I just got a small cut on my leg baa-chan." Tsunade's eyebrow slightly twitched at the name she was given. She mumbled something about disrespectful brats before taking a closer look at Naruto's injury. She saw that the cut was definitely not small. It was about seven inches long, but the most interesting thing she saw was how it was already healing.

"Okay brat, this is definitely not just a small cut. It's healing already, but I can speed up the process. It still however might leave a scar." Naruto just nodded and watched as Tsunade's hand glowed green with chakra. Tsunade was impressed at how she could feel the cut already healing naturally. She just wrote it off as his Uzumaki genes.

Naruto just sat there for a few minutes watching the Sannin do what she was best at. He was fascinated by what she was doing. He asked a few questions about what the green chakra was. She explained it as best as she could to the kid that chakra can be used for many things and right now she was using it to heal his leg. When she was doing healing his leg, Tsunade left the room to go tend to other patients in the hospital. Naruto was then given a ride on the back of Kakashi to the Namikaze Compound.

*End of Flashback*

Ever since that day Naruto had met Kakashi more and more often when he was around the village. He sometimes saw him around the compound also. He developed a sort of brotherly relationship with him to the point where he called the silver-haired man "Kaka-nii." While he would see him sometimes, Kakashi still had to take on his missions and tasks as an ANBU. This left him with only a little time to spend with Naruto.

Naruto also met some of the other ANBU that saved him that night. He discovered that Itachi was also among them. Some of the other ANBUs he met was Yugao Uzuki, a man called Tenzo, and another guy who looked like Itachi named Shisui. At first, he met them when they were off duty and didn't have their ANBU masks on. But when he noticed them shadowing him around the village, he called out to them. They were surprised, to say the least. When they asked Naruto about it, he just said that he didn't really understand it but he could like feel who they were. Kakashi then explained to Naruto that he must have been a sensor and could feel their different chakra signatures.

Naruto enjoyed meeting them, but he didn't see them often because all of them were busy with their ANBU duties. He just wished he could have had a stronger kind of connection with someone because his parents definitely weren't giving him that. Not anymore at least. Sure he was making friends with people, but the bonds he had with them were not very strong.

Another thing that bothered Naruto was when he watched the heirs his age train with their respective clans. Sometimes he would watch Sayuri trying to perform the fireball jutsu at the pond behind the Uchiha compound. He also would see Hinata training with her father and mother in the Gentle Fist taijutsu style.

He always felt a bit of anger and jealously every time he saw this, but didn't outwardly express it. He just kept his emotions bottled up and continued asking himself the same questions. Why don't my parents even bother to train me like everyone else? Why only do they focus on Hikari? They don't even have to really train me, but why won't they at least spend time with me?

Naruto looked up down the road again and just continued towards Ichiraku's. He just dropped the thought from his head and decided not to worry about it. Why bother? It's not like they are going to change anyway. It was like the situation with his parents. It would take something drastic for it to change.

When Naruto arrived at Ichiraku's he saw Ayame and immediately ordered the usual, Miso ramen. Naruto proclaimed that it was the "Food of the Gods." His sister and mother also shared this view about ramen.

As Naruto was eating he was just looking outside at all the people walking down the street. He found himself looking at how nice the villagers were when they didn't see him. It was like he was a magnet for all their hate.

Naruto then found himself looking at a small family. He looked and saw two small kids, a boy, and a girl, having fun with their mother and father. They looked like the perfect family. He felt a slight pang of jealously wash over him.

'Why can't my family be like that? Why do my parents treat me as if I don't even exist anymore?' Naruto then looked back at his ramen bowl and quickly finished it. Ayame then walked over to Naruto seeing he was done and grabbed his bowl.

"Thanks for the ramen Ayame-nee. Can you add my meal to the tab?" Naruto asked.

"Sure thing Naruto-kun." She answered.

The Namikaze family had to make a tab that they would pay for every month because of all the ramen that they ate. Of course, Ayame and Teuchi never complained because of all the money they made from it, but Minato would find himself taking a big chunk of money out of his wallet at the end of each month.

Naruto then left the ramen stand and saw that the sun would set in about an hour or so. He decided to head towards his favorite spot in the village.

*1 hour later*

Naruto was now at the Hokage Monument sitting on top of the Third Hokage's head. He didn't know why he picked the location, but he always found a calming presence every time he came here. It was like he could feel the presence of the dead Hokage there with him. The presence felt like a calm reassuring hand on his shoulder from an older grandfather figure. He's always heard stories about how the Third saved the village from the Kyuubi that attacked.

He looked over and saw the face of his own father carved into the cliff. Naruto's thoughts betrayed that of the village's thoughts of his father. Everyone viewed the Fourth Hokage as the perfect man. He was supposed to be a good person and a loving father. Right? Naruto's thoughts were mixed on his father. He always saw how Sayuri and Hinata's parents would spend time with all their kids. He always watched them interact and spend their time together. He sometimes became slightly jealous when he watched this, but nobody would be able to tell.

Naruto always just put on his foxy grin like usual when someone would ask about him. However, inside he starting to hurt a little. Sure his dad was the Hokage, but why was he almost being isolated by his parents?

Naruto then snapped out of his thoughts when he looked towards the horizon. He saw the sun setting. This view was always his favorite. For some reason, it always calmed him and made him not feel so alone, but the feeling couldn't last forever.

Naruto just watched silently as the sun set across the village. After it became dark Naruto decided to head home after having what he called a full day.

*Namikaze Compound a few minutes later*

Naruto just arrived at the compound. He opened the front door and walked in. His father had placed some kind of seal allowing only certain people to be able to access the compound from the outside. The seal used was a blood seal so that only people having related to Minato could access the compound. There were also a few other trusted people that also had their blood imprinted on the seal. These people included Jiraiya, Kakashi, and Tsunade. Not even the Hyuugas or Uchihas could enter without permission.

Naruto looked around and saw that his sister and his parents were hanging out in the living room. He just slowly walked past the living room making his way towards his bedroom. As he walked towards his room he heard his sister call out to him.

"Hey, Naruto-nii-chan! Where were you at? You've been out for like almost half the day!" Naruto always gave a small smile when he heard the energy that practically radiated off of Hikari.

Naruto looked and saw that his parents didn't even bother to talk to him and just started their own conversation with each other.

"I was just at Ichiraku's eating some ramen for dinner." Naruto answered.

"Oh, that's nice. I was just wondering if you wanted to go do something?" Hikari asked.

"No I'm tired already. I'm just gonna go to bed." Hikari slightly frowned at his answer but decided to just let him go.

"O-ok then, well goodnight."

"Goodnight Kari-chan." Naruto moved towards his bedroom door, but heard his sister call out to him again.

"Wait! Before you go I just wanted to let you know that I heard Kaa-chan and Tou-chan talking about us going to the academy soon." Hikari mentioned to him.

"Oh yeah. I guess that's cool. Well if that's all then goodnight." Naruto responded.

"Goodnight nii-chan." Hikari spoke in a quieter tone.

Naruto then walked into his room and changed into his pajamas. After he was changed, he immediately jumped into bed. He was just silently thinking to himself as usual. However, this time he was thinking about the academy.

'I wonder what it'll be like. Maybe it'll be fun. I've already made a few friends our age so I'll know a few people, but I've really only talked to Hikari's friends. I don't really know any boys our age. Wait! The academy means that Tou-san and Kaa-san will also start training me.' Naruto then remembered what his parents told him about the training he was supposed to get when he was older.

*Flashback*

Naruto watched his mother walk back into the house with Hikari. Hikari just got done training with Kushina, so she decided to go take a bath. Kushina went to go to the kitchen to go fix up dinner for the family. Minato would still be at the Hokage Tower probably trying to finish a stack of paperwork. As Naruto watched Hikari walk towards the bathroom he started thinking about maybe he should ask his parents to train with his sister.

'Why is she the only one that is training? I'm going to become a ninja also right? Maybe I should just ask Kaa-san about training with them.' Naruto then decided to go towards the kitchen to ask his mother.

"Hey Kaa-san!" Naruto exclaimed.

"Oh hello sochi! What are you doing here?" Kushina questioned.

"Well, I was just wondering if you were also going to train to train me since you are already training Hikari-chan." Naruto eyes were showing that we wanted his mom to train him.

"O-oh yeah about that, your father and I decided that your training will start when you and Kari-chan enter the academy." Kushina answered with a little fault in her voice.

"O-oh o-ok I guess that's fine. Well, I'll just go wait till your done making dinner. Bye!" Naruto voice showed a hint of sadness from her answer, but he quickly hid it with a foxy grin.

"Bye sochi!" Kushina responded.

*End of Flashback*

'Kaa-san and Tou-san are going to start training me, so I guess I just have to wait. They promised me they would, and they wouldn't break their promise. Right?' Naruto had a small sliver of doubt with each thought.

Naruto then decided to just close his eyes and let sleep take him.
