Summary: You has some visitors and a sunset rendezvous to get to.

Now that the door blockade was a morning memory, the post commute, pre lunch lull happened. You happily took the distraction of moving boxes, the exertion left her no mental space to review the morning's weirdness. But it wasn't over. The door opened and Chika and Kanan blasted in.

"There a new salvage crew in town." Kanan slammed a hand onto the counter.

"And they stole our booty." Chika whined.

"Don't call it that." Kanan pulled out her phone, "Look at this."

You smiled apologetically at the surfer Kanan had shoved past, "I'm working. There's a line."

Kanan frowned, "I'll take a water."

"Oooh, give me a...whatever that tall neon blue thing is…"

"I'm not paying."

"You'll give me the friends and family discount, right, You." Chika's outrageous wink led to grumbling in the line behind her.

"There is NO friends and family discount," You announced loudly, "That will be five dollars and seventy three cents."

Chika turned out the pocket of her mini overalls. She had a shell and a nickel, "Kanan?"

Kanan shoved the phone at Chika.

"Oh."

"Here." You shoved the blinding bright blue slush and sugar slurry at Chika and pulled six dollars out of her wallet. "Jade's got your water at the end of the counter, Kanan."

"Look at this." Phone shoved in her face again, looked like gold things, but You pushed it back at Kanan, "Sit down. I'll look on my break."

Kanan grumbled, but with Chika pulling her toward a table, she decided not to resist. You gave Chika a grateful salute and turned on the charm for the disgruntled surfer Kanan had shoved aside.

"Didn't I see you out on South Beach yesterday morning? Wasn't that an awesome series of waves."

Bad mood dissolved like morning mist, and You picked up a tip about which beach is best at the new moon.

"So what's up?" You slid next to Chika.

"Someone stole our stash." Kanan crumpled her cup.

"What stash?"

"Me and Kanan had been talking about taking the boat out and diving and now suddenly, someone sold Yama all this gold. It's in the window."

On Chika's phone was a poorly lit picture of what looked like a large pile of doubloons and half a dozen marked and stamped silver Spanish treasure bars.

You whistled, "You knew where this was? Why didn't you grab it?"

Kanan had her head in her hands, "We suspected. We were going to dive on our next free day….but…"

"Tourists." Chika frowned, leaning back, arms crossed over her chest.

"But that's good for business."

Kanan, now face planted, seemed to nod.

"No appreciation for archeological value…" Kanan muttered, "Yama just cleans 'em up and sells 'em. I should just report him."

"But he taught you how to dive…" You and Chika recited.

Kanan sat up, a hand on You's shoulders, "You have to help me tonight. We're going to go down and see if I was right and see if there's anything left."

"Sure…" then You had a vision of Dia, tall and regal, and shook her head, "Can't. Have to show a tourist around town."

"A diving, salvage stealing tourist?" Kanan hissed.

You laughed, "She doesn't look like the kind of person who'd do anything to crack a nail."

"Ooohh, when do we meet her?"

"Not tonight." You stood up, "My break's over. Get out of here. You make my boss nervous, Chika."

"The lever on that machine was halfway off already." Chika said, loudly enough to carry behind the counter, where Dany was glowering.

"I'll call you later."

"Behave yourself." Kanan clipped You on the shoulder.

A cheeky salute was always the only answer to that.

You had rushed home to change. Dia...You paused, picturing the elegant beauty in her mind, hadn't said anything about where they were going. Or what kind of places she wanted You to show her. But You couldn't imagine Dia in anything casual. But it was summer...and touristy...and...You pulled out one of her favorite casual dresses she'd designed and sewn, with an open at the sides blue top that matched her eyes and a loose, floral skirt that carried the blue through it. Simple silver sandals completed the outfit. And then You rushed off to the pier before she changed her mind again.

Dia was standing, posed against the sunset, a sheath dress knitted from some kind of glimmering, metallic, silver green yarn falling straight from her shoulders. It caught every light source and the glints moved like water. You, realizing how underdressed she was, almost turned and ran. Dia spotted You, smiled, and pulled a bouquet of flowers from behind her back, all whites and blues and greens.

"Hello, You."

"Dia." You was breathless.

Dia grinned, "For you."

"Ummmm…" You certainly didn't have room for them in her purse, but she reached for them anyway, burying her face in them to cover a blush.

"I have reservations at the Coral Room at the Ohara." Dia said smoothly.

You nearly dropped the flowers.

Dia picked up on You's distress, "Is that all right?"

"No…"

Dia stepped back, surprised.

"The people there, they're so...rich…" You winced at the word, hoping Dia wouldn't be insulted, "It's so fancy, everybody has designer dresses, I sewed this myself, they're…" You paused, and then a little desperate, groaned, "so grown up."

"You look lovely. No one will compare." Dia opened a bag that looked like an actual clam, but mutant oversized, and clasped closed with delicately braided gold, "I have cash."

You stared at the clutch filled with hundreds and began to get dizzy. She bolted for the bench at the end of the pier, sitting, wanting a bag to breathe into so she didn't hyperventilate and drown in this weirdness.

Dia rushed over, concerned, "Mama said take you out to dinner, Ruby said go somewhere they knew me...is that not right?"

"Somewhere they know you?" You raised her head. "Who are you?"

"Dia. I told you." Dia was starting to frown.

"I know that. Dia who? Dia Windsor, Dia the Duchess Of Atlantis, Dia the Goddess Who Fell From The Moon?"

Dia stared for a long time at You, then shook herself, "Wait here."

Dia ran for the water, dove in, and disappeared. Duchess of Atlantis seemed to be winning, You thought, as she leaned her head back and stared into the sky, wispy clouds racing across a waxing moon as the wind picked up. You was sure she never wanted to be anywhere she couldn't smell the sea on the air. And then cold water flecked her cheeks and You looked up and Dia was there, flipping her hair back over her shoulder, changed into board shorts and a green bikini top. She unzipped the top of a sling bag, pulling out a tan open weave linen cardigan and wrapping it around herself.

"Hi."

"Hi."

Dia sounded nervous. It was kinda cute. ""Sorry to make you wait. Want to go to the movies?"

So that's how they were doing this. Okay. You sat up. Time to take control of the date. And talk.

"There's a little beach shack five minutes from here. They do cheddar bacon burgers you have to bite into to believe and their fry salt is divine and dilly. They only take cash. We can grab a bag, sit on a bench, listen to the ocean, and you can tell me about your family. Who's Ruby?"

"Acceptable. But you have to tell me where you learned your design skills." Dia reached out a hand to gently stroke You's skirt with her fingertips, "This is flawless."

Someone had finally noticed. You felt giddy.
