Bio
Born in Boston, she grew up in Cambridge a single child. In her youth, she excelled in school, and graduated from Suffolk County Law School, and became a Lawyer. Eventually, she married a man named Nate Jones, and the two moved to Sanctuary Hills community. Nate enlisted into the army and served in the battle of Anchorage, where he died, never meeting his Son, Shaun.
Living in Sanctuary Hills, she was rather popular in the small community, she was a successful lawyer, beautiful, Single, though a mother, but her husband was a war hero, so it was over looked. She split her time between work and raising her son, mostly.
She was however infatuated with the girls who caught her eye, her neighbors directly across from her, the Reed twins. Nora would on occasion, walk into her room and dress next to the open window, when the Reed girls were waiting to go to school across the road. Eventually, Nora, while at a block party, over heard Rachel Reed, the mother of the Reed girls, talk about reserving a spot in the vault.
Well, better safe than sorry.
The day then came, October 23rd 2077. Nora rushed to the vault with Shaun and rushed to the vault. Her time inside of the vault was short. She was placed into a decontamination chamber with her baby, before everything got cold, and white. Not knowing she was frozen, or the experiments that happened to her the other dwellers, Nora was lucky, when the door to her area got stuck.
When she woke up, she was greeted by androids looking at her. And doing the only thing a person with sense would do at the time, she screamed, panicked, threw up, and calmed down over the course of an hour.
The Institute had found them, shaun, the template of the gen 3 synth, and Nora, the back up. Over the next few years, Nora would see her son for a few hours a week, while the rest of the time in isolation, or learning of the Institute, it's purpose and of the new world born from the wastelands.
Nora, eventually, was allowed to access the wider Institute, as Director Victoria Crawford, and found a "fondness" for the woman. Nora had worked her way to becoming Victoria's secretary and "assistant". She would often Speak to Conrad Kellogg about Shaun in his later years, and talk with a Doctor Thompson, about a synth project with the new Gen 3 synths.
Nora, under the control of Director Victoria, would have her duties as secretary, as well as other things, become more sexual, as the Director controlled the time Nora had with her son, which often shrank when Nora disobeyed the Director's orders. Doctor Thompson's visits also lead to her discovering the "Healthcare division" one that was trying to get implemented into the institute, a mix of medical, biological and other matters, that focused on the usage of Synths.
In reality, Doctor Thompson was a near insatiable nymphomaniac that wanted to create a legion of sluts for her own pleasure, and her visits, were often an excuse to fuck Director Victoria, some of which Nora joined in on, at the orders of the Director.
Eventually, as Shaun was a toddler, the broken mask incident occurred, and with time, the director was blamed, and the Health Care Division project was shut down, in place of the new project placed forward, the Courser program, as the new director took charge. The new director was the head of the Synth Retention Bureau, Katheryn Merteuil.
Katheryn was rather opposed to the need of sexual partners, insisting "If I need a whore, I'll have a synth made to be one". Nora was rather direct with her reply "You might need one. It might loosen the diamond mine known as your sphincter". The two did not get along, but, due to Nora's influence, she was kept around.
That however meant that Katheryn made Nora's life as close to hell as possible, including placing her in the Courser Ultra Neural Training Program. Nora protested constantly as she had no combat experience or training, and lacked any idea how to fight.
Nora went through several surgeries, which altered her body in many ways, artificially extending her life, and eventually, placing her body under the control of an AI, known as the Control User Neural Treatment, controlled her body, and left Nora more of a passenger in her body. This continued as the AI would listen to the directorate, and Director Katheryn, as she was made to serve and pleasure her, while going through intense military training, in martial arts, and how to use every type of weapon.
Nora often had to deal with the AI, that had been placed into her mind, and only able to control her body when the "CUNT" as she called it, was asleep, where she would learn as much as possible, mostly about programming and biology. When ever the two are awake or in control at the same time, Nora is near comatose. During the test of her Drug, "CUNT" woke up and caused them to go into shock.
It was later discovered via surgeries, that Nora's blood had mixed with the AY-46 Biogel, making it now impossible to separate the two completely. Nora went through several surgeries, in order to suppress her mind completely. The program chips were replaced by the Precision User Synthetic Survival Unit 1: Core.
Having this, Nora was unable to control her body at all, leaving only to stew in the back of what remained of her mind, and Nora was marked similar to a courser, November 0(zero) - Romeo Alpha or N0-RA.
After the death of Kellogg, N0-RA was sent out with R9-31, to the last known location of the killer of Kellog, a raider simply known as "The Raider Queen". In the ensuing battle, N0-RA received a shot into the head that damaged PUSSU1 Core, giving Nora control again. R9-31 was killed, and Nora retreated, reaching Vault 81, and was allowed in, to heal and recover.
As N0-RA rested, she was treated with hostility, and often ignored when she asked for help. Eventually, when a mole rat bit Austin, N0-RA was sent into the secret section, and eventually found the machine named "C.V.R.I.E". When security tried to take the cure, N0-RA and PUSSU1, agreed and could work together, to make a statement, no one fucks with the Institute.
N0-RA killed the security and several of the residents who tried to fight her, before leaving. The only thing that stopped her from killing everyone was the robot, C.V.R.I.E saying that the survivors could be useful to the institute in the future
Nora left the vault, with the cure, to leave a message that would stay with the survivors. "Don't fuck with the Institute." Nora wondered the wastelands for a few days, until she was found by the Railroad, who recruited her, in hopes of learning of the institute. Nora pretended to not be able to access the records, due to the mechanical augmentations in her mind, she stayed around to learn about them, and to get C.V.R.I.E "Curie" a body of a synth
After she learned of the switchboard, she took advantage of her situation, and deactivated the defenses, and as she tried to steal the prototype of Dr. Carrington, she was found by Tommy Whispers. Gen 1 and 2 synth, were relayed in, but a shot from Tommy damaged her artificial spine, making her leak Biogel. She fled, and was attacked by the railroad members, before she finally escaped, and relayed back into the institute, where she learned her son, Shaun...was now the director.
When she met him...she should have been happy, but...no...it wasn't she just...didn't feel a connection, he was her son, but now...she was more like a synth than human...she barely aged, her body was nearly 45% machine with all the augments, and here she was, looking at her son, a man who was looking older than she was.
Nora simply walked away. Curie wanted to solve the issue, and had a theory. If the two minds, PUSSU1 and Nora, would combine, then that would resolve the issue. With the help of the Institute, Nora and the AI met, and eventually, realized, they had become more similar than either had realized, slowly, the 2 merged, and the had become their new self, they were one. N0-RA was born that day.
N0-RA argued that Curie, was a needed asset to the Institute, and would be valuable in her understanding. It took weeks, but eventually, Father proved, and Curie was brought into the Institute, and made the personal assistant and Nurse to Father.
N0-RA was also made the second in charge of the SRB, as Justin Ayo had caused many issues as Dr. Zimmer was hunting a synth away from the Institute.
