Jack's eyes opened as his head pounded. Last thing he remembered on the way down was knocking his head onto James before everything went black. He groaned aloud as he saw James next to him and the dark room they laid in still tied up in webbing. Jack let out a curse as he breathed deeply to calm himself. It was plainly obvious he was terrified beyond belief as he kept his breathing up. He swore he smelt burnt flesh. Just keep cool Jack just keep it together. He told himself as he desperately fought back his worst nightmares which were now unfolding directly in front of him for him to live out once and for all. James looked to him and Jack's breathing stopped suddenly as he saw his friend. Acid had burnt into his cheek completely and a hole on the other side was very evident and it made Jack gag violently. As it burn away some of his hair and luckily didn't breach the skull, or unlucky?. Jack saw one of his eye was red from pain as he looked pleadingly at Jack. He let out a weak moan as he shifted himself to face Jack. James back was scared and webbed prevent more blood loss as James moved only his head. Then Jack saw it, James dominant arm just above the elbow was gone completely and webbing was placed there to prevent blood loss as well. Jack gagging harder found it impossible to take his eyes off the blood as he heard large footsteps behind him. Looking up he faintly saw a slim femme frame that didn't belong to his Guardian. Still in hell. He mused as he looked at her with both fury and fear.
"Well look Who finally woke up. Enjoyed my handy work?" She asked with a cold sick voice of a complete psychopath. Jack looked in both hate and horror as he remained silent. James glared at Airachnid as if she was The devil which wasn't far off in Jack's eyes.
"You're a horrible plastic surgeon" James weakly choked out earning a horrified look from Jack. This was his fight not his!. But another look at James immediately squashed that thought into powder. Airachnid laughed wildly as she stepped over Jack and to the front to James. Glaring down at the injured human she casted another glance to Jack.
"I might've been rough in a few places" She said as she formed an acid drop on her finger and in a blinding motion dropped it on his lower spine. Howling filled the room as Jack watched his friend suffer in a pain he would soon endure. James thrashed about as he cried in agonizing pain. Jack felt tears streaming down his face, not just for himself but for his friend also.
Screaming caught their audio receptors as they stepped from the swirling green vortex of the ground bridge. The screaming was so powerful and carried it softer the bridge and into the base making medic jump. Optimus who clenched his fists in a flash of pure anger. Bulkhead and bumblebee didn't recognize the screaming at all, Arcee in the other knew it well enough. She shuddered as saw bumble running towards the screams down the hall.
"Come on let's get moving!" He called back in a flurry of beeps and boops. Bulk began after him with Arcee with Optimus in toe. Arcee quickly blazed past them as the screaming got worse. Reaching a junction which light all four directions she heard the sound bouncing all over the place. Frag it!. She thought as this had proven to be as simple as a Rubik's cube. Bulkhead blindly too left as Bumblebee took right. Optimus took center as Arcee chased after him. Arcee fought to keep up with the prime who was currently losing his ever present cool.
Jack saw James fidget as he cried from the intense pain. Jack saw the sadistic look on Airachnid's face and the pleasure she had gotten from performing the acts. He was shaking uncontrollably as he watched her drop another drip of acid onto his right leg above the knee. Jack looked away unable to take it anymore as James screamed again as he thrashed in pain.
"Kill me please!, please just do it already!" He begged as the pain spiked drastically. Airachnid watched the human suffer as the leg had melted through. Suddenly she heard a thumping noise behind her and she turned to see Optimus coming out are at max speed. Her optics widened as she knew she had made a grave mistake. Ohhhh frag. She though at it sunk in. Ramming into her he jumped over the humans and rammed her directly into the nearby wall. She screamed out in pain as the prime quickly drew his blade and placed it right to her neck. In a blind reaction she sliced at his chest letting acid spill onto his chest. He only grew more furious as he held his ground. He sliced right through her neck cutting deep into her before letting her fall the the ground gagging as she clenched her throat. So this is it?. She thought as she realized she had driven Optimus to kill her. Arcee entered to see Airachnid dead on the ground near the wall. Jack was on the floor watching prime as she stepped closer. Optimus looked at what he had done...for the humans safety in the future yes, but that didn't make it stop hurting from inside. The fact that they suffered made it impossible to have any peace.
"James it's alright their friends...he needs a doctor fast" Jack called as he tied off where the leg had been burned through with his shirt. Optimus looked back and pulled back his battle mask. He saw Arcee's horrified look but also held relief that Jack wasn't harmed. Smell of blood and acid dominated the air as Optimus transformed and opened his door. Jack without hesitation lifted James who howled again in pain. Laying him inside he closed the door as Optimus raced off towards the entrance and nearest hospital. Arcee dropped down and hugged her partner and began shaking as she looked at Airachnids dead corpse. Her reign of terror over them was over and by Optimus hands. She found peace in that even after all she did it was better to go out by his hand than hers.
"I should have put it off" She said as she was coming down from her emotional high. Jack let out a deep sigh but agreed. If she hadn't left James would've never known... part of him wish James had left just after getting the spark plug.
"That's well behind us. She should've died slower" Jack said as he looked at the body. They only upside of all of this was she was dead.
Optimus tore onto the base and quickly did a 180 as Ratchet worked the ground bridge. Optimus waited impatiently for the bridge as he drew deep within the matrix for help.
"I can't feel anything, please just let me die. I can't live" James begging for it to be ended which caught Optimus off guard. He was deformed and crippled completely...an Cybertronian could get an arm replaced but a human was impossible. Ratchet activated the bridge and Optimus began through ignoring the humans pleads for death. Pain filled breathing grew weaker as Optimus sped up. Just hang on please just keep fighting. He begged to the gods that be as the rushed for the hospital.
