Donna was making copies, trying to distract herself from the picture that she seemed not to be able to forget. With anger she kicked the machine with her right leg.

"You know the poor printer did nothing wrong" Harvey's voice rang through the copy-room.

"Oh, should I kick you instead?" Donna snapped back at him.

"Donna you have to believe me, nothing happened between me and Samantha" He said sincerely.

"I don't care" She retorted.

"You don't care?" He asked, frowning at her.

"Yes, why would I?"

"It's just that-"

"Harvey whomever you sleep with is non of my concern" She said coldly.

Harvey knew it wasn't true, her stiff body and her darting eyes showed him otherwise. But he wasn't going go pick a fight, so he just sighed.

"So we are good?" Harvey asked lamely.

"Yes we are good" She told him with the biggest fake smile he had ever seen.

"But for the record Samantha and I are just friend's"

"Okay" Donna said nodding towards him.

She didn't believe him, so much was clear, but he didn't want to be the one trying to convince her otherwise. It would just make her think that infact, they slept together.

All day Harvey was sitting in his office stuck in thoughts, he hated this situation. Around evening a idea shot into his head, simple but the best he could come up with.

He stood up with new motivation and rushed towards Samantha's office, ready to make a change for the better, a plan.

Samantha looked up at Harvey, her eyes questioning him, but she was clearly waiting for him to say something.

"So I figured something out" Harvey told her.

"And that is?" She asked.

"We both are more or less in the same situation, and we both really suck at relationships in our own ways...What if we help each other?" He suggested.

"How could you possibly help me?"

"Well, I can set you up, I can be a buffer and can possibly provoke jealousy"

"I am listening"

"Well- I figured that we need to find out if there is any interested in you, coming from Katrina whatsoever, and in my experience jealousy is pretty affactive."

"So what do you want to do?"

"We are going to spend time together, if she needs you, don't be available- because you already need to do something with me"

"Isn't that contraptotactive?"

"In your situation it isn't, you don't know her that long and if she is hung up on some ex flame, then she needs to get a distraction. But you don't want to be the rebound, so you can't just jump in" Harvey reasond.

"Okay" Samantha nodded.

"Good" Harvey said smiling.

"But I am not sure Donna would appreciate you showing interest in me" Samantha remarked.

"True, Donna wouldn't like that and I think I have seen over the years enough of her jealousy...And I really don't want to put her through more hurt then I already did."

"So what have you in mind?"

"I want you to-", Harvey looked at the ground a little emberassed, "-show me how to be a better man"

Samantha raised her eyebrows at that suprised, she expected much, but not that.

"What exactly am I supposed to do?"

"Help me find ways of showing Donna that she is important to me, that I care... Help me treat her like she deserves and mostly just help me get to her level"

"Get to her level?"

"Donna is a amazing women and she deserves so much more then me, but I'd like to be worthy for her and be able to make her happy" Harvey explained.

"Woah you almost sound classy" Samantha joked.

"Well, so do we have a deal?" He asked, ignoring her comment.

"Okay, we have a deal" She agreed.

"How about we eat dinner at my place and make a masterplan?" Harvey asked.

"Sounds like a plan" She agreed, "How about we meet each other in thirty minutes in the lobby?"

"Sounds good" Harvey said, strolling out of Samantha's office.

Only seconds later Samantha did the same, but she walked right towards Donna's office. She wanted to make things right, she just started being on good terms with the COO, and she would appreciate to stay that way. And she supposed that it would do Harvey some good, because if Donna believed Harvey was in some sort of relationship with her there would never hapoend anything.

She knocked at the door, even if it was already opened and the office was out of glas, she felt like it would be the right move.

"Come in" Donna's voice said monotonous.

"Hey I wanted to clarify something-" Somantha began.

"There is no need to, it's really non of my concern" Donna shoved the subject away.

"Look- I thought we grew to be something like friend's the other week and I don't want to throw that away because of this silly misunderstanding"

"Yes I thought we were friends too, but clearly we have diffrent undertsandings about that"

"You know you never told me that you have something for him and I should keep my hands off him" Samantha argued.

"I know", Donna said with a big sigh.

"But it really doesn't matter, Harvey and I are just friends and if I am being honest, I am already in love with someone else" Samantha offered.

Donna's face expressions now grew curious, "Who?"

"I am sorry but I won't tell, there are already to many people who know" She answered apologetically.

"I get it"

"Just so you know, Harvey and I were pretty drunk and I think he had the great idea of making cookies and we ended up at his place...But really nothing happend and I promise there never will" She told her earnest.

"Okay, I believe you"

"Thank you" Samantha said relieved, smiling at Donna.

"How about we catch some drinks?" Donna asked.

Samantha flinched at that, of course Donna would ask that...

"I am sorry I already have plans with...uh...Harvey"

"Oh"

"Yeah, we have some same interests and we agreed to help each other out" Samantha tried to explain.

"It's fine, really" Donna said, this time actually sounding fine with it.

It felt weird seing them getting along, but Donna knew they had many similarities, so maybe it wasn't that unexpected to see them bond. Still, she couldn't supress the ping of jealousy bubbling up in her belly.

It wasn't even that a potential romantic relationship between them was what made her feel that way, it already wws the fact that Harvey seemes to get along with her. As a friend, that they were spending time together. Because they both did not spend much time together after the Paula fiasco.

And she really missed him, his simple company, but maybe he didn't. Maybe he found in Samantha a even better friend?

Donna was still in thougts, even though Samantha had already left, she leant back in her chair and let herself sink into it with a bigh sigh. Why was everything so hard with them?

The next day went incredibly strange for Donna, it all started when she entered the firm and walked next to Harvey's office. He was sitting on his couch with Samantha and he was laughing loudly.

She knew she shouldn't be jealous and that it all was ridiculous, but the picture of them in bed together still wouldn't leave her mind.

But as she wanted to sit down at her desk, a coffe cup on it cought her attention.

"Good morning" Was written on it, she imidietly knew it was his note.

She definitely knew how he wrote, but the simple task of him doing it himself was confusing. He never brought her coffe, if he did he was either apologizing, or wanting something. Sometimes both. But only if he did something incredibly stupid he wrote a note himself.

But here the cup of coffee was.

However, she decided not to question it for once, not in the mood for another seemingly worthless confrontation.

As she already forgot the gesture when she came back from her lunch break, flowers where placed on the desk. Through this time there wasn't a card, she knew it was from him.

Donna finally had enough when he came at the evening into her office.

"Donna?" His voice asked a little unsure.

"Oh Hey, do you need something?" She asked, still focused on the documents she was controlling.

"No I just wanted to know how you are" He explained, as if it was totally obvious.

"What?" She asked, frowning at him.

"How are you, how was your day..." He repeated.

"What is going on?" She asked irritated.

"What do you mean? Everything is fine"

"But why are you acting this weird?"

"What do you mean with weird?"

"You being all 'nice'" She explained.

"I am just trying to be appreciative" He defended himself.

She croaked a eyebrow at him.

"No seriously Donna, I was just trying to ne nice" He told her.

Before Donna could say anything else, he already walked out of her office. His palms felt sweaty and his mouth dry. He really sucked at this!

Samantha told him to just be honest about why he did nice things, but with Donna that wasn't easy. She always had questions.

She knew him to well.

He hated this, it felt like everything he did just got misread from Donna, while she was supposed to be the one Always being right. Who always got him, but apparently his amends were the one thing that she didn't got.

Right then he decided, this wasn't going to work, he needed ro step his game up. He needed to take the drastic plan, the risky plan that Samantha was so sure of being successful. The big plan B they discussed. The one he wasn't going to take, swore that was to risky.

But Donna always wanted him to take a risk, didn't she?

Okay I feel like the second chapter wasn't quite as good...But anyways. The next chapter is going to have more action though. Also Samantha and Katrina might finally get somewhere as well. Because for now I haven't shown them in action, but believe me it's going to get interesting there too! Please leave your thoughts, or wishes with a review!
