The second Chapter of my story, the talk in the Yogurt-Shop and the aftermath.
The Yogurt-Shop wasn´t very crowded, Alvin and Brittany getting one table for themselves. Both ordered two yogurts with toppings and two cups of hot chocolate. As they take a seat, Brittany noticed Alvin makes an thoughtful face. She gives him a questioning look. " Everything´s alright?" He nodes. " What, yes, i´m fine! I just remembered the day we first met, the competition about the name of our band!" Brittany laughs. " That was something! In the end the six of us performing on the stage and rockin it! And our name comes up!" She smiles. " We became friends back then, and in school we became best friends, rough and not easy all the time, but friends!" Alvin smiles a bit embarrassed. " Honestly, during that competition i´m starting have a crush on you! That´s why i´m so happy as you guys come to our school! And that´s the reason why i wanted to go to the valentine dance with you!" With a sad look in his eyes he looks down to the floor. " And then i ruin it! You were so mad at me!" Brittany sighs. " Yes, i should have killed you, as i find out that you were Captain Chipmunk! I didn´t know about the tape, the sleepwalking and everything! It looks like one of your silly plans! But, honestly, that i fall for that charmer, was really naive! Captain Chipmunk, really! I watch to much of that romantic movies!" She giggles. " And then i reject you for that stranger in disguise, it´s so obviously, that there´s something wrong! And then you make Captain Chipmunk look like a jerk and come to my rescue! Oh man!" Alvin sighs loud. " I know, but should you belive that time if i told you the true?" Brittany shrugs. " Maybe not! I´m so excited about the ball, and than this mess! After that, the thing with you and romantic was done for me! But not in the heart, it´s never completely gone. But we were to busy with ourselves and to bet against each other! And the moments, when youre so sweet and charming, like our auditions for the Snow White Play, i be impressed! You have it with that! But i told myself to be careful, i´m not sure about your intensions!" She reaches across the table and takes his hands. " But that´s behind us, lets be honest to each other from now, okay?" Alvin nodes. " No secrets, no put-offs! I´m with it!" Both laughs and enjoy their yogurts, hanging in their thoughts. Brittany taps him. " And, what are you thinking, could this working? With us? After all what happened?" Alvin makes a thoughtful face, than he smirks. " You know what, yes, i think it could work! Remember, our arguments and fights and we made up every time! The fight at the public court, the arguments on the ballon race, the picture of that kiss from our school journalism and, of course, your acting like a zombie to get me take you to that ball! Two guys who are only ordinary friends should never talk with each other again! We make up every time and the best adeventures we had were when we act as a team! Think about the movie theater, we had so much fun! We have a strong bond, like with our siblings!" He winks. " And do you notice? We spend the whole day without a fight! Would you have thought so?" She shakes her head, smirking. " If someone asked me that some weeks ago...! And i feel better than i haven´t in a long time!" She looks at him and blinks with her eyes. Alvin blushes a bit. " When you look like that , i´m getting nervous!" Brittany giggles. " Good to know, if i wanna wrap you around my fingers!" He raises his eyebrow, than she smiles. " Just kidding!" She pause for a moment. " Maybe!" Than she laughs. Alvin shakes his head, than he laughs along with her.
Music starts, as both leave the Yogurt-Shop, hand in hand.
Brittany: What a day, what a time, I felt like never before, it felt so fine.
Alvin: Hold your hand, and watch your smile, for this, i will walk any mile.
Both: Now we here, side to side, and it felt so right.
Brittany: What i missed so much, was you as i see, and with you i feel so free.
Alvin: My heart was waiting, alone and sad, but with you here with me, i be so glad.
Both: Now we here, side to side, and it felt so right.
It was dawn, as they arrived at the Miller´s house. They holding hands all the time. Both talking and laughing since they left the Yogurt-Shop. Both noticed, it runs fine. As they reach the front door, Brittany turns to Alvin, with a smile. " This was so beautiful! That guy in the movie theater, oh man!" She giggles, Alvin nodes. " That genius, really! And yes, it was beautiful! We should do that more often! Only the two of us, as a, uhm, Date! What you think?" She smiles. " Yes, of course! As a Date, everytime!" Both remain silent, an embarrassing break. Than Brittany wraps her Arms around Alvins shoulders, hugs him and cuddles to him. He wraps his arms around her waist and holding her as close as he could. Both didn´t talk, it wasn´t necessary. This moment was long overdue, both longing for this moment. After a moment both ease and holding hands, again. Both blushed. Alvin clear´s his throat. " Then goodnight, Brittany! Should we go out the next few days? School starts next monday, we have time!" Brittany smiles. " Yes, maybe tomorrow? Late afternoon, we have to do some chores! Miss Miller got enough work for us, i think! And maybe we spend time with the others, they gonna pelt us with questions!" Alvin rolles with his eyes. " They should take care of their own business! Especially Simon and Jeanette!" Brittany giggles. " Slow down, both are nervous enough when they around each other! Then, see ya tomorrow! Good night!" She leaned forward and kissed him on the cheek. He freezes for a moment, than he smirks and touches his cheek. Brittany smiles, than she enters the house. She waves, he waves back, then she close the door. Alvin turned around and strolls home happily. This should be getting something, with them, he could feel it. For him, she was the cutest girl he knows. And he wanted to show her as much as he can. And she likes him so much too, that´s more as he hoped for. What a luck that they be honest to each other. Ironically, in an argument, he smiles for a moment. As he enters his home, he hears the tv in the living room. He walked in. Dave and his brothers sitting on the couch and watching a game show. They all looked at him, Simon and Theodore smirks, Dave smiles. " Hey, Alvin! It was a nice Date, i see you grinning all over the face!" Alvin sighs dreamily. " It was, oh yes!" He walks over to the couch and takes a seat near to his adoptive father. Dave cuts off the tv and turned to his eldest son. " So, you two going on a Date next time?" Alvin nodes. " Yes, tomorrow afternoon, i´m so glad!" His adoptive father wraps his arm around his shoulders. " I´m so glad for you two!" Simon and Theodore looking at Alvin. " Do you wanna tell us how it was?" Alvin laughs. " You guys are nosy! But yes, i want to tell it the whole world!" All four giggles, than Alvin starts to tell. " Well, that guy in the movie theater, i have to tell you that story!"
Brittany leans against the front door and sighs happily. It runs so good, better than she awaits. Alvin was so cute and nice. That was so rare in the past. Good, that they admit their feelings, otherwise this up and down goes on for longer. She can´t await tomorrow. As she walks to their stairs, someone coughs. Brittany looks through the door to the living room, Jeanette, Eleanor and Miss Miller stood there. Her sisters smirks, her guardian smiles mildly. " Hello my dear! As i see, it was beautiful Date?" Brittany smiles. " Yes, it was, Miss Miller!" She looks dreamily somewhere else. Eleanor snaps with her fingers. " You want to tell us how it was?" Brittany nodes when she walks toward them. Miss Miller kneels down and wraps her arms around her three girls. All four smirks when Brittany stars to tell.
