On the other side, they found themselves in Wonderland, just like in the books and movies. "Wow..." Charlie Brown and Heather said in awe while Snoopy and Woodstock just smiled along with Alice.
"What is this place?" Heather asked.
"My new friends, welcome to Wonderland!" Alice smiled.
"Wonderland..." Charlie Brown and Heather smiled.
"It's so beautiful, just like in the books!" Heather smiled.
"I know and..." Charlie Brown said before his eyes went wide as he remembered about both books. He then stared at Alice in amazement. "Wait! You're the Alice from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland?!"
"And Through the Looking Glass?!" Heather added.
Alice blushed a little. "Promise not to tell anyone else?"
"We promise." Charlie Brown and Heather smiled.
"Good." Alice smiled. "Actually, the stories were based on the adventures that my great grandmother Alice took. Then she gave the mirror to my grandmother Alice for her 6th birthday. After that, my grandma gave it to me for my 6th birthday. So I guess you can say it runs in the family."
"Alice, this is amazing!" Charlie Brown smiled. "I'm sure to find interesting things for my story here!" Just then, Linus and Sally, having stepped through the mirror and after hearing everything, approached them.
"So, you're the descendant of the OG Alice? Wow..." Linus said.
"This is bonkers." Sally said.
"Hey! I thought you both promised not to tell anyone else!" Alice exclaimed as she noticed Linus and Sally.
"We didn't tell." Charlie Brown and Heather said in unison.
"Sorry. Our curiosity got the better of us." Linus smiled sheepishly.
"It's cool." Alice smiled.
"Alice, this is my best friend Linus, and my little sister Sally." Charlie Brown smiled.
"Hi there!" Sally smiled.
"Pleasure to meet you." Linus smiled.
"Nice to meet you too." Alice smiled before she noticed that Wonderland seemed awfully quiet. "I wonder where everyone else is."
"Hello? Anyone here?" Sally called out.
"Alice brought friends!" a voice exclaimed.
Sally went silent. "Who said that?" she inquired, before seeing a cheesy grin. "Snoopy...I should've known."
"Oh, I'm not Snoopy." the voice said as it was revealed to be the Cheshire Cat. Sally jumped up in surprise, while Snoopy just smiled, happy to finally see him.
"The OG Cheshire Cat." Linus smiled.
"The one and only. Thank you very much." Cheshire Cat smiled.
"Hello Mr. Cat. These are my new friends Charlie Brown, Heather, Linus, Sally, Snoopy, and Woodstock." Alice smiled.
"It is very nice to meet you all." Cheshire Cat smiled. "We barely have guests in Wonderland, except Alice of course."
"Say, you wouldn't happen to know where everyone else is, right?" Alice asked.
"Not really." Cheshire Cat said. "Well, I must be on my way. Got a lot to do." The Cat then disappeared, making Snoopy upset.
"What's the matter, Snoopy?" Alice asked.
"I think he wanted to show the Cat his famous Cheshire Beagle trick." Linus said.
"Oh. Man that would be a sight." Alice smiled. "Don't worry. You'll get a chance."
Snoopy giggled. "Let's see more." Sally exclaimed. "COME ON!"
"Where should we start?" Charlie Brown asked.
"Good question. There's a lot to see." Alice smiled, not noticing the White Rabbit approaching them, while on roller skates and carrying books. "I think we'll start with-"
"LOOK OUT!" the Rabbit screamed. The kids and animals then moved out of the way, causing the Rabbit to trip and drop the books.
"The White Rabbit on roller skates?" Heather asked. "That's unusual."
"I gave him those skates for his birthday. That way he wouldn't have to be late all the time." Alice explained with a smile.
"Nice." Linus praised.
Charlie Brown giggled. "Wow. I can't believe we're the only outsiders here."
"Goodness gracious Alice! Can't you watch where you're going?" the Rabbit asked before he noticed the others and smiled. "Oh, you brought guests. That's nice!"
"I'm sorry. Let us help you with your books." Alice offered as she, Charlie Brown, Heather, and Linus picked them up.
"Why thank you dears. Oh what a day this has been." the Rabbit said.
Charlie Brown then smiled as he pulled out his paper and pencil. "Really? An interesting day?" Charlie Brown asked.
"Oh my word, yes. And it all started this morning." the Rabbit began.
"Do tell." Linus said.
"I awoke to a tap, tap, tapping on my window pane!" the Rabbit said.
"Go on!" Charlie Brown insisted.
"Such a strange sound! It was almost haunting." the Rabbit continued. He then noticed Charlie Brown writing it all down. "What in the world are you scribbling..."
"Charlie Brown." the blockhead said.
"He's my new neighbor." Alice smiled. "Don't worry about him. He's just taking a few notes. He has to write a story before school starts back up soon."
"Oh." Rabbit shrugged.
"Go on!" Sally said.
"Right!" the Rabbit continued. "I was frozen with fear! Who could it be? A raven perhaps? A monster? Or was it the queen?"
"If only Lucy could see this." Linus smiled.
"Carefully, I crept up to the window." the Rabbit continued.
"And?" The kids all asked.
"It was the Hatter." the Rabbit answered. Charlie Brown then lost his smile. That wasn't very interesting. "He wanted a cup of sugar."
"That's it?" Sally asked. "That was anti climatic."
"Was there more?" Linus asked, in fascination. "It's not everyday, we talk to the Rabbit from Wonderland."
"Where's the Mad Hatter, anyways?" asked Alice.
"He must be preparing for his tea party." the Rabbit answered as he collected his books.
"Can you at least tell a bit more?" Charlie Brown asked.
"I'm very sorry. There is no time to chit chat." the Rabbit said. "The Queen's books are overdue. Goodbye." The Rabbit then skated off towards the library.
"Sorry, Charlie Brown." Heather and Alice frowned.
"Just when I had my story. I can't stand it!" Charlie Brown said.
"Don't feel bad." Alice said.
"That's easy for you to say. You've probably never dealt with failure in your life." Charlie Brown sulked.
"Oh really?" Alice smiled.
Alice:
I woke up a little late today
And Dina had left my room to play
and when I went downstairs to eat, the cereal box was empty
(Oh man!)
I was that close to a big bowl of cereal for me
"That kind of makes me feel better." Charlie Brown smiled. "What happened next?"
Alice:
So I went on down the street
To buy an ice cream treat
But I've only had 50 cents, and the man said, 'Sorry that'll be 60.'
(Wham!)
I was that close to having an ice cream cone to eat
Then I met my friends to play
For a jump rope contest all day
97, 98, 99, then...
(Whoops!)
I was that close to winning the game
I was that close to winning a match
I was that close to winning today and just when I thought that I had a down path
(Whoops!)
"I was that close!" Alice said.
"You see, Charlie? Everyone deals with failing everyone once in awhile." Heather smiled.
"Yeah, and it only means we're human. We'll just find your story somewhere else." Alice smiled.
"But where?" Charlie Brown asked. Everyone then began to think of something, not noticing that Snoopy and Woodstock have snuck off.
"I think I know just who can help." Alice smiled. "Come on!"
"Goody! Let's go!" Sally smiled. Everyone then followed Alice, but then Charlie Brown noticed Snoopy wasn't with them.
"Wait! Where's Snoopy and Woodstock?" Charlie Brown asked.
"Don't worry, we'll find them later." Alice smiled. "Let's go get your story."
"Okay." Charlie Brown smiled and followed them.
