It's one of those "how did we get there?" for "Just thinking." situation. It took me a month to write it down on something that wasn't a purple stick-it card so "Yay me!"
Firstly I don't own anything. Secondly, I put Sel in Italic to make it more clear when it's her or Jacob. Although I'm sure it's not hard to get as I always wrote her saying Jacob a lot. Thirdly... If somebody ever told him the most important place on the planet as far as this Galactic is concerned is going to be in Colorado.. he would laugh. He would laugh hard. But, well here they are. Yes, life was crazy now but until recently he didn't even expect it to simply "be" for him anymore, so as far as he was concerned, it was good. Great even. Well, almost but there were some things he wasn't ready to deal with yet. 'Sooner or later, you would have to Jacob.' As for these things that could be avoided… Well, next time he would have to try harder to not snicker at George. Infirmary visit. It was ridiculous. He had Symbiote now. There was nothing there that might help him any better than what Selmak could do. And frankly, he saw enough doctors during last year. For at least two lifetimes. They didn't even help him. Sam did. And George.
'Excuse me, Jacob?'
'Sel I know how much I owe to you. It goes without saying.'
'Good. Maybe if we are a pain in the mikta, whoever is the doctor here would tell us to go and not come back like ever or until we are seriously injured.'
The doctor. He thought back to his last visit. The doctor was very nice.. too nice.. and the pity in his eyes. The look every man that's almost dead gets. Well, not this man apparently. Here goes nothing.
"Reporting as ordered, sir."
"Cut the crap, Jake."
"Just trying to do my part here George. Being a good liaison officer waiting to be tested for the presence of any space bugs he might have brought here."

"So where is the good doctor with my lollipop?"
'Why would he have a lollipop? Is this some kind of Tauri medicine?'
"She will be here shortly. We had some small emergency in the laboratories."
'SHE?!'
"Then perhaps we can reschedule? We shouldn't take time away from those who truly need it."
'Why did he said "SHE"?! You showed me a male looking doctor. Are you trying to keep things away from me again Jacob?'
'Shut up Sel. I'm trying to get us out of getting stabbed with needles and it's hard to have two conversations at once.'
'Well If you had practised as I told you to…
