Next Avengers Short Stories

Hello! Here's a one-shot fic I made myself to get us started! Please tell me what you think about this because I personally think this specific one-shot is horrible. This is why I need ideas from you guys!

It had been two months since the death of the Avengers. A month since Peter and the others failed to get the gauntlet back. And a month since they were isolated in the Arctic Circle facility. The kids had gotten over their parents death and things slowly got back to normal. Slowly. Toruun wanted a room to herself, Azari had potty training problems, Morgan wanted to go back home, Cassie refused to sleep in the dark, and James seemed to eat more than anything else. On top of that was baby Pym who Peter couldn't take care of, even with the surviving Avengers help. Here are some short stories of Peter spending time with the next generation of Avengers.

Toruun's Room

Toruun got bored of sharing a room with Morgan and Cassie. There were at least twelve bedrooms there and only eight were being used. Toruun missed having a room to herself like she used to in New Asgard. Sharing a bed with Morgan and Cassie was annoying. Since Morgan and Toruun slept on different sides of the bed, they were constantly fighting at night for the blanket until they ripped the blanket. And Cassie wet the bed twice every week. Toruun complained about this to Peter.

"Are you old enough to have your own room?" Peter asked.

"Yeah! I've had my own room my whole life." Toruun reassured.

"Since when was there an age limit to having your own room?" Bucky asked from the kitchen.

"Morgan always has most of the blanket and Cassie pees in the bed." Toruun whined.

"Ok. You can have a room next to Bruce." Peter said. Toruun cheered and ran upstairs. It wasn't long before Peter heard squealing and shouting from upstairs as James, Azari, Morgan, and Cassie charged down the stairs.

"CAN I HAVE MY OWN ROOM?"

"I WANT MY OWN ROOM!"

"WHY DOES TORUUN GET TO HAVE HER OWN ROOM?"

"Hey, slow down!" Peter cried. "Do you all want your own room?"

"YES!"

"YEAH!"

Peter sighed. These kids couldn't even speak in unison.

"Ok then. James, your room is across from Toruun. Morgan yours is next to James."

"Why can't we have our own rooms?" Azari and Cassie complained.

"You do. You're staying in the rooms you were in before." Peter pointed out.

"But I want mine to be next to James!" Azari complained.

"Yeah! We want to be next to each other!" James agreed.

"I want to be across from Toruun!" Morgan said

"I wannna be next to Morgan!" Cassie said.

"Ugh. Fine. James, you can have the girl's room-'' The girls and Azari laughed at this- "Azari will stay in his and James' room. Cassie's room is next to Morgan and Morgan's in across from Toruun."

"Yay!" The kids shouted as they raced upstairs. Peter followed them and directed them again where they had to go.

"Does Pym get his own room?" Azari jokes.

"No. He's staying in Bruce's room, since he knows how to take care of a baby more than I do." Bruce opened the door and glanced down the hallway.

"Can you guys stop making so much noise? I can't sleep." Bruce complained.

"Guys! Keep it down!" Peter shouted.

"You're louder than them." Bruce mumbled. Later that night, Peter rolled in his bed for awhile until he decided to open the door just as he caught Azari walking into James' room. After bringing the boy back to his room, he checked on Morgan to see that she was not in her room but in Toruun's room with Cassie. The three girls were bragging about how pretty they wanted their room to be.

"Why aren't you guys in bed?" Peter asked. "If you have your own rooms why can't you stay in them?" Peter hauled the giggling Cassie onto his shoulder and Morgan on the other and tucked them into their rooms.

"I can't sleep." Cassie blurted out.

"Why not? You used to have your own room back at your house." Peter asked.

"My room was pink. This one is white. And when the lights are off, it is scary. I had these glow-in-the-dark stars on my ceiling. And I had my stuffies around me also. But this room is empty and scary." Peter felt sorry for her.

"I'll tell you what, Tomorrow we can go to the 3d printer and print the stuff you had in your old room and we'll decorate this room and make this feel more at home."

"Ok! Thanks Peter! C-can I sleep in your room tonight? Your room is less scary and the bed is more comfy." Peter froze and then nodded.

"I'll sleep on the couch." Peter answered. Peter opened the door and held her hand as they walked right into Azari who was skipping down the hallway again. Peter sighed and led Cassie into this room and then brought Azari back to his own room.

"Azari, you got to stay in bed." Peter groaned.

"I always leave my room at night." Azari answered.

"What!?"

"In Wakanda, when I can't sleep, my dad and I go outside and look at the stars. He tells me that the panther god is watching over me." Azari explained.

The thought of a giant panther watching you at night was a little creepy though Peter.

"Is that what you are trying to do? Sneak outside?" Peter asked.

"Yeah. I- I think that even when my dad is dead, I think he's watching me." Azari spewed out.

Again, Peter couldn't get the picture of a panther sitting at the foot of his bed all night out of his mind.

"That's very nice." Peter complimented. "I sometimes think that my parents are watching over me too."

"Can I sleep in your room tonight? I'll sleep on the floor." Azari asked. "You have the fluffy carpet."

"Uh… ok. I'll sleep on the couch." Peter answered. He led Azari to his room when his enhanced hearing heard the footsteps of another younger kid in the kitchen downstairs. Peter leapt over the staircase and crawled on the ceiling and landed into the kitchen before Morgan who was sucking on an ice popsicle.

"So you're the one who is secretly eating the juice pops. I actually believed it was Bruce." Peter smirked.

"Sorry. My dad-"

"Oh brother." Peter thought.

"My dad used to get me and him juice pops when mom wasn't around." Morgan explained.

"Well just because they're not-" Peter started to say but then reworded his words. "I'm just saying, you can't have juice pops when you're supposed to be in bed. Next time, with an adult's permission, you can have one before bedtime."

"Ok." Morgan said as she finished the popsicle and followed Peter upstairs.

"Can I sleep in your room?" Morgan asked. Peter stared at her then said.

"Why?"

"I heard that Azari and Cassie get to sleep in your room."

"Oh yeah and- wait- How did you know that?" Peter demanded.

"James told me."

"How did James-" Peter groaned. "Forget it. I'll sleep on the couch." Peter left Morgan in his room with Azari and Cassie and then went to James's room to find James about to leave the room. James was wearing his pj's with a jacket and sunglasses.

"What are you doing?" Peter demanded.

"Uh, I'm playing Spy Kids." James answered.

"At 12 in the morning?"

"It's more fun at night, b'cause i can watch people. Guess what! Uncle Bucky sounds like a dump truck when he snores. And Uncle Sam goes to bed with no pants. Uncle Stephen floats in the air in his sleep! Can you believe that?"

"Well anyways, you can't spy on others especially at midnight."

Peter the boy to James' room.

"My mom and dad always thought that was funny when I spied on them. Cause mom was a spy. I wanna be a spy when I'm older."

"James. It's midnight. Go to bed. Unless if you wanna sleep in my room-"

"Yeah! James raced into Peter's too and tumbled into the bed next to Azari. Peter went into the hallway, expecting to see Toruun appear, but he didn't see her. He tiptoed towards her room, and heard thunder outside. Peter ignored it, until he remembered that they were in a dome in the Arctic Circle. Peter slid open the door, but Toruun was gone. Peter tiptoed around the house, searching for her. When he searched for a third time, he started to panic. He searched each room in the house, including secret passages the kids didn't know about. A clap of thunder made him jump. Raindrops were heard on the roof.

But they were in the Arctic circle-

Peter raced outside, not caring that he was wet. He saw Toruun standing at the far corner of the dome. Her hair was blowing in the wind, and electricity sparked on her. Peter's mouth went dry. Toruun was trying to leave the dome. Peter's nanotech suit covered him, and he raced to her.

"Toruun!" Peter shouted through the rain. She was controlling the weather.

And they were in the Arctic circle. If the dome broke, snow would enter the facility and its surroundings, ruining the beach-like environment. Then, they would lose a layer of protection from The Black Order. With Toruun's powers, the aliens could detect her energy signature-

Peter leapt at Toruun, and volts of electricity shocked him, and he fell to the ground in pain.

"Peter!" Toruun cried. Peter winced as he tried to look at the seven-year old.

"Toruun! You got to stop it!" Peter cried.

"I can't! I don't know how!" She cried back.

"Calm down! You need to calm down! You'll destroy the facility!" Peter shouted.

"I want to go home." Toruun answered quietly. The thunder and lightning stopped, along with the rain. The sky turned back to normal. Toruun stood silently as she began to cry. Peter touched her arm, but he was zapped by static electricity.

"What did you say?" Peter asked.

"I want to go home." Toruun answered.

"Toruun, you know you can't." Peter answered. "Your home was destroyed a long time ago, and you don't want the bad guys to find you."

"I miss my dad." Toruun sobbed. "He would tell me stories and help me if I had a nightmare or couldn't sleep. But he's gone now. I thought he could help me."

"I'm not your dad, Toruun, but I can help you. We all can. Come." Peter hesitated, then gave a small sigh of relief, not feeling any zaps of electricity from her. He held her hand and led her inside the facility to his room where the other kids were.

Peter woke up in a dazzling white light. He tried to sit up, but someone was holding him down. Peter looked to see Morgan asleep on his chest. Cassie was on top of his pillow, Azari had his feet in Peter's face, James and Toruun were near the foot of the bed. Slowly, the others started to wake up.

"Good Morning!" Cassie said.

"Why are you all here? Oh wait. Never mind." Peter sighed. "Do you guys want to sleep in your own rooms this time?"

"Yeah. I'm not scared anymore." Cassie said.

"Me too." Azari said.

"Thanks, Peter." Toruun said.

"You're welcome." Peter answered. He rolled over, and felt something damp.

"WHO WET THE BED?"

That was horrible. Please give me ideas. When I was writting this, I felt like Peter seemed like a pedophile in this chapter. I don't know why! If I get a prompt, I'll delete this chapter and replace it with the prompt.

If you have plot ideas for a Next Avengers Legacy Sequel, please pm me. If you don't have a ff acount, just leave it in the comments of one of my next avengers stories. See ya!
