"You are everything I've ever wanted and all I'll ever need."

Dominique barely acknowledged it as someone sat down next to her. She focused on her reading- at least she tried to. But the hand playing with her hair was making it very hard.

She looked up from her book, glaring at her boyfriend.

"What?" She asked, exasperated.

"I'm bored." He whined.

"And? Go away!" She demanded. "You're distracting me." A smile lit up his face.

"I'm distracting?" He asked playfully. She couldn't help but grin.

"Yes, ok? I'm trying-" He kissed her cheek and she giggled as he continued kissing her face- her nose, her forehead, her other cheek, her chin, and finally her lips. "I'm trying to do work." She giggled against his lips.

"Sshh!" They laughed as Madam Pince fixed them with a glare.

Dillon pulled her up by her hand, and she giggled.

"Where are we going?" She asked as he dragged her out of the library.

"Just come on!"

He continued dragging her, and she didn't even try to resist, giggling the whole time.

They laughed, stumbling into each other, his arms around her waist and her hands on his face. Their noses touched as they fell onto the field, a heap of tangled limbs and loud laughs.

"You're so stupid." Dominique remarked with a fond smile.

"I know." He replied, just as fond.

They fell into a comfortable silence as Dillon traced the freckles on Dominique with his hand, his touch feather-light as he started on her arm and moved upward, toward her face.

His hand finally reached her face, and he stopped, stroking her cheek with his thumb.

She smiled, closing her eyes and leaning into his touch, taking his hand in hers and kissing his palm. Their hands fell between them, still intertwined, and their eyes locked.

He leaned in and kissed her, and she smiled against his lips.

"I love you Dillon." She said, and even though it was but a whisper, it sounded loud in the quiet of the night.

"I love you too Nicky." He replied, leaning his forehead against hers and pulling her closer.

Dominique was so lucky.

She knew that. She hadn't always, but now- looking at her boyfriend as they laid in the grass together, she knew that, and she wouldn't ever take him for granted.
