"L-01, I need this recorded… otherwise I would forget what the heck I'm doing," Luna said as she scoured the Scrapyards for anything that would look like currency.
They don't use Bill money… or do they? Luna would question this to herself as she continued to dig through the piles of Metal machinery and discarded metals.
"Master Luna, May I ask what you are searching for?"
"L-01, I am Looking for anything that looks like this planet's form of currency. I… dont have any money. So i do not know how i will sleep tonight without a room." Luna said as she continued to shuffle through the metals.
"My master, is it not simpler to find a job?" L-01 questioned as he tilted his head.
"Well, if that was an option. I would have to consider the following: a Job application. A form of Identification, and a Possible citizenship card." Luna explained as she pointed to herself.
"I am not a resident of this world. So i dont have any of these things. I am from the planet Earth, it… kinda feels like earth… if you subtract the advanced flying things and treats. Seriously, how does one do such a thing?!" Luna said in amusement.
"Master Luna, do you wish for me to search for information about the 'currency' of this world?"
Luna stood up for a second after a minute of thought. And narrowed her eyes to the ground. She had seen robots around the city. So, it wouldn't seem unnatural in her view. But, there is a possibility he could be stolen.
Even worse, destroyed. Her hard work to build a companion to accompany her through this rough period would be wasted.
"... Allow me to come with you," Luna said as she put her hands in her pockets.
"I dont have the necessary parts to fully upgrade you to your fullest potential. So, if we can find the currency together. The greater the chances are of making you better."
"Very well, my master. I shall protect you with my very being, should something stand in our way." The grey Robotic Simian replied.
The sun was setting, And Luna had a black Hoodie on. It had a Skull in the back of it, she remembered when she nabbed the clothing from a Holographic clothesline.
Her hood was up as A Grey-colored robotic Monkey was on her shoulder. She had to admit, it felt a bit uncomfortable, some of the machinery inside her companion isn't that lightweight.
But, With time. It starts to feel a bit better. The Robotic Companion looks around, searching. Luna also looked around, her hands in her new hoodie pockets-
Oh? She heard jingling. And pulled her hand out of her pocket. Huh. The hoodie had some of the currency in the jacket. Who knew?
She inspected the change. And clenched it in her grasp. Before looking around again. Is there some sort of hotel? Was there a hotel at all?
She sighed as she continued forward. She stopped for a moment. Hearing something ahead of her. An old woman selling fruits and vegetables, but of an extraterrestrial species.
Luna stared at the food for a bit and had a thought. She looked to her companion. Who, upon feeling her gaze, gave a confused look.
"Is something the matter, master?"
"Fresh fruits and Vegetables! Get your fresh healthy foods here!" The woman called, attempting to lure customers in to buy her products.
She then grabbed a cool cloth to dampen her face. Then saw a Robotic Simian before her on the counter.
"Oh! Your one of the monkey team members, aren't you?" She said, smiling. as the Grey robot began to search her vegetables.
"Oh my! Please, you saved the city many times. It's on me! There aren't enough thanks from the citizens you protect so much… this is the least i can do to do my part for you all! Please… grab as much as you like! I can replenish more supplies tomorrow." The woman said, smiling gently.
The Robotic simian had grabbed some odd carrots, some odd-looking mushrooms, and an Odd apple with its long tail. He then chattered something before walking away. Hurrying.
"Thank you for your hard work!"
"You got them?" Luna said, surprised.
"She had offered them as a gift. I do not know why. However." L-01 explained as he went climbing back upon master's shoulder with ease.
"What an odd city…" Luna uttered. As she held out her hand, and the robotic Simian released the hold of the apple from his tail and onto her hand. Which grasped it before she took a bite out of it.
This… tasted odd. But it wasn't bad.
"This tastes similar to a Fuji apple… but also a bit like cotton candy… what an odd fruit," Luna said, amused. As she continued walking. Munching onto the apple.
"Priority one, A place to rest. Priority two, figure out where the earth is. And priority three. Get you new parts. And, Priority four, find my brother."
"Storing Listing of priorities," L-01 said simply, as he remained silent. And his tail waved briefly for a second.
"Priority list stored," L-01 said once more as Luna nodded, smiling at the robot. "Good. Needs and wants are always important." Luna said as she stopped she sensed something.
"Master luna? Why have we stopped?"
Luna remained silent, she heard… sloshing. Sloshing and dripping. And…
Luna looked ahead and saw Odd… skeleton creature? It… Almost looked like that thing that…!
Luna slowly starts to back away. Her legs trembling. The weakening source of fear was present on her face. Did… that thing find her here?!
"Master luna? What's wrong? Your heart rate seems elevated."
"L, we got to run."
"Master?"
Luna didn't say a word before she swiftly turned and ran away, running as far as her legs could carry her. She continued to run, even with the sounds of terror ringing through the air.
She only looked forward. And only forward. She found another crevice to hide in the streets. And hid behind a wall. Covering her mouth as she watched a Seemingly army of those things go past her.
She hid well. Once the things were seemingly gone, she let out a relieved sigh.
"Master…? What is happening?" L-01 asked.
"L, im being chased. But i don't know exactly why myself." Luna explained, as she then stopped and heard some commotion.
"Scritch-scratch doom thrower!"
...what was that? Luna went to peer from the wall, and saw a Green creature launching fragments of what appear to be… saws?
One of the skeleton creatures slump over and melt. The green creature then looked around, before seeing a blue- wait. Are they…?
"Other… monkeys?" Luna uttered. Her eyes widened in surprise. She then saw one of the black skeleton creatures go behind the blue monkey. And raised her hand.
"Look out-"
She then saw her companion run from her shoulder to leap at the Skeleton-creature. Before the Grey-robot's claws extended and Slashed swiftly.
The skeleton creature trembled before melting instantly.
"You, have disturbed my master. Foul creature…" L-01 said in a menacing tone.
The Green Monkey and Blue-Monkey had stopped what they were doing and saw the new robot before them.
"Woooah, antauri! When did you change your colors again?" The Green Monkey spoke.
L-01 did not seem amused. And frowned at the two monkeys.
"Otto, this… does not appear to be Antauri, their appearances are greatly different. I dare say, who are you?" The blue one spoke.
Luna had rushed up to them to grab her Monkey. and ran once more, ignoring her surroundings completely. Her only motive was to escape from danger.
"W-wait!" The green monkey spoke from behind.
"Master, have I upset you?" L-01 spoke, questioningly.
"No, i just…!" Luna spoke before she was stopped by… A flying blue monkey with a jet-pack. Upon closer inspection, she identified the monkey as a robot.
Just like L-01…
"Halt!" The blue one spoke as it landed in front of her.
"Wait, Gibson! She doesn't understand us!" The green one said quickly as it landed behind her.
"N-no… stay away!" Luna uttered, as she was backed into a corner.
"Master, shall I dispose of them for you?"
"L, no! Let me…"
One of the monkeys gasped. It was the green one from behind.
"Thats a cool skull-jacket lady!" The green one said, causing the Blue one to come upon some sort of revelation.
"So you're the one who caused all of this! I thought we jailed the skeleton king's goons. But, your rather new…" the blue one spoke, glaring.
Luna saw the Blue Monkey's hands turn into drills. And went to approach her, turning at high speeds.
"I… didnt do anything…!" Luna uttered as she felt her chest burn. And felt time around her stop.
"Is this how you want to end?"
Luna then stopped and found herself in a void. A constant black emptiness, almost in the realm of infinite darkness.
"You just embarked on new territory. Your odds are against you."
Luna saw a New being emerge, a Dark Purple ethereal-looking Version of her… like a mirror image.
"What should you do? Are you just going to take this type of punishment?"
Luna tried to speak, but nothing came out. She frowned, angry as if trying to say something. Before she shouted out:
"Hell no!"
The ethereal version of her smiled and held out her hand.
"Then let's bite at the hand that led you here. And make this world, fear us. So they dare not to cross our path."
Luna remained silent before she looked at her hand. Before she went to grab at her hand.
She grabbed a paw instead. A Large purple ethereal Wolf stood before her.
"I will lend you my power. This great power will help you. May the moon guide your way, and let your hunts ever be fruitful. Luna."
Luna was back to reality and saw a Surprised Blue monkey staring up at her.
"What is this phenomenon?!" The blue monkey said as he looked at her. Luna seemed confused and pointed at him.
"Hey, you the one attacking me-" Luna then stopped upon the realization as she saw her hands, they were grey-gloves, and clawed. Along with black sleeves-
She then inspected herself as she realized she was in a different outfit than before. "What the heck?!" Luna uttered, as she looked at her body.
"Wait, you can understand us?!" The green monkey said from behind luna, sounding as shocked as Luna herself.
"Master, what's going on?" L-01 asked his master. Who looked equally as surprised.
"Gibson to monkey-team. We have a situation-" the blue one started to speak. Maybe to the law enforcement?
Luna then shook her head and went running, a Now Ripped and Long scarf dangling as she ran away from the scene. It seemed stupid to run from the law. But shes being wrongly accused! Before she could think,
She became entangled in a net! She slammed her head against the ground when she fell, as she couldn't catch herself in time.
She heard the faint words of her companion and a brief conversation.
"Good thinking otto, im glad that Net we saved for the formless experiments."
"I mean, it seems rather-"
Luna couldn't hear anymore and heard nothing afterward. Slipping out of consciousness.
I posted a new, longer chapter. I felt inspired to write yhis today. And i may post Character-art of Luna and L-01 soon on my deviant-art so anyone can get a better look at them and get a greater picture of what are supposed to look like.
