I've made some mistakes regarding Tenya and Fumikage's location in the previous chapter. They were supposed to be on one of the helicopters and not back at the camp, so I went back to change things.

Let's hope I don't get the teams mixed up this time around...

Chapter 2
Separated Heroes

Izuku groaned in pain as he stood up. Looking around himself, he was glad that he didn't suffer any real injuries. His hero costume was so durable that it was able to remain in a good condition despite the helicopter crash. Even so, he still felt pain on various parts of his body, though it wasn't anything that would last long.

Behind and around him, his other four teammates as well as Aizawa had just gotten out of the crashed helicopter they were previously in.

"Is everyone all right?" asked the teacher.

"We're all right," Tenya told him.

"A couple of scratches here and there, but nothing big," replied Masahirao.

"All is fine, as well as Dark Shadow," said Fumikage. Dark Shadow was out of his body with a look of relief on its face.

"The fuck was that giant ape?!" said Katsuki loudly in anger. "What was the deal with that bastard, treating us like a rag doll?!"

"I'm just as surprised as you... I didn't expect to run into a giant gorilla here..." said Masahirao.

"Its size is incredible... It is like a dark beast only found in legends..." said Fumikage, sounding as if he was in awe.

"We can talk about that later," said Aizawa as he went to the wrecked copter to check on the pilot, who had yet to come out. "We'll have to meet up with everyone else first."

While the teacher was doing that, the five students looked at their surroundings. There was nothing but trees around them. "Let's hope we're not too far away from the camp..." said a worried Izuku.

"I only hope that the others are all right as well..." said Tenya.

"That damn dirty ape! I'll show him who's boss when I see him again!" said Katsuki while cracking his fist in rage.

Aizawa came back to them with a rather disappointed and even sad look on his face. "The pilot is dead..."

The students were shocked to hear this. "He's... dead...?!" said Izuku in disbelief.

"That's terrible...!" said Masahirao.

"It's a miracle that we managed to survive a crash like this in the first place," said Aizawa. "No use grieving over this now... We must try to get in contact with the others. I tried using the communication devices in the helicopter earlier, but they're all damaged beyond repair."

Izuku was going to ask how were they going to find the others when suddenly they heard English being spoken coming from close by. They looked around and saw a group of people approaching them. It was Conrad, Weaver, Reg, and Victor Nieves.

Needless to say, both sides were surprised to see each other. "It's the students!" said Conrad in English. He doesn't know how to speak Japanese.

"You kids are all right!" said Weaver happily in Japanese as both sides approached each other.

"Glad to see that you're fine as well," said Aizawa.

"All the others in our helicopter died, though," said Weaver. "And we currently don't have any method for contacting the others..."

"Then we'll have to look for them ourselves..." said Aizawa.

Taking out a map, Conrad explained that they should head over to the east side of the island, as that is where the supply copters were supposed to meet them three days from now. Seeing that this was the best choice of option for now, the group decided to head over there, believing that the others must be doing the same thing.

"Are we not going to talk about what we saw just now?!" asked a still spooked Reg. "Something like that... doesn't just happen!"

"We're just as confused as you, but let's just focus on what is necessary first!" Conrad told him.

On another part of the island, Packard and a small group of soldiers were able to reunite with another group of soldiers and the students in Team H, consisting of Momo, Minoru, Mina, Hanta, and Eijiro.

"Good to see that you all are safe!" said Packard happily as he hugged one of the soldiers. Looking at the students, he said, "Good to see that you kids are fine as well! It would be terrible if you all perished!"

"No way we're going to die from something like that! My Quirk helped a lot in that situation!" boasted Eijiro.

"Yeah, it was... nothing...!" said Minoru, who was trembling in fear as he recalled the terrifying experience of being inside a falling helicopter.

As the soldiers and the students sat down to relax and talk about what happened, Packard approached Randa, who was inspecting some of the equipment he brought. Taking out his gun, Packard pointed it at him and said in a threatening tone, "You're going to tell me everything I don't know about this island, or else I'm going to blow your brain off!"

The students saw what Packard was doing and were shocked, so they immediately rushed over, thinking he was going to kill Randa. "Stop! Why are you trying to kill him?!" Momo asked the army commander.

As the students readied to stop Packard, Randa sighed and then said, "Have you ever heard of the organization Monarch?"

Packard gave no for an answer, and Momo, who understands English, translated it for her classmates.

Randa continued explaining. "It's a top secret government organization that you won't find any info on, not even on the dark web. I am a member of that organization, which is dedicated to proving the existence... of monsters."

The students were shocked to hear this. "Mon... Monsters...?!" said Mina in disbelief.

"Sounds terrifying... but also cool!" said Eijiro with slight interest.

"What a bunch of bullshit!" said an unbelieving Packard.

"You just saw one earlier, didn't you?" Randa told him. "Ancient species like that beast ruled this Earth long before mankind came into existence. Even to this day, they continue to live among us, hidden from plain sight."

"There are more of those giant gorillas out there...?!" asked Minoru in shock.

"When I was a young lad, I was on an ocean liner when suddenly something attacked the ship," said Randa. "It left behind massive claw marks on the ship's hull. The official statement was that a villain with a claw-related Quirk was responsible, but I knew what I saw that day... It was definitely not human or anything related to Quirks... Since then, I've been trying to prove the existence of monsters... Monarch was founded by people who have witnessed and lived to tell the tale of close up encounters with such monsters that people with common sense will never believe, even in an age where Quirks make pretty much anything possible. We have dubbed these monsters... Titans."

"Titans... from Greek mythology, huh?" commented Packard.

"Wow... I can't believe it... Giant monsters like ones found in movies really do exist...?" said Hanta in awe.

"Monarch outposts and facilities are located in various parts of the worlds in specific locations, disguising themselves as normal military and research facilities," continued Randa. "Those outposts are in fact built on the hiding spots and nests of Titans."

"So the real reason you came to this island is because you know that thing is out here?" Packard asked him.

"There were unverified reports of Titans here, and Monarch's job is to identify, research, and contain them, even eliminating them if necessary," explained Randa.

"If I may ask..." said Momo. "Why don't you let the public know about this? In the very least, I think the hero society should know about this."

"The powers of Titans are beyond one's imagination," Randa told her. "They have powers that make heroes look like Quirkless people in comparison. I'm afraid that even someone like All Might is no match for a large and powerful Titan..."

"Monsters stronger than All Might...? I can't believe this...!" said Eijiro in disbelief.

"Until we find a way to deal with Titans easily, we want to keep them a secret for as long as possible in order to avoid causing widespread panic... or even worse, letting villains taking advantage of them!" said Randa.

The students swallowed nervously when they heard this. If Titans are indeed as powerful as Randa claim them to be and in the off chance can be controlled, then a villain getting hold of one can easily take over the world. All For One immediately came to their minds as the worst possible person to find out about Titans. Hopefully he doesn't know about this at the moment...

"Though there are a small number of heroes who are aware of Monarch's existence and its purpose, so they are on standby to lend a hand when necessary," said Randa. "As far as I know, All Might is not one of them."

"I'm sure someone as powerful as him would be able to do something about the Titans if things go out of control," Mina told him.

"Perhaps, but he's retired now, so it's too late for that," Randa reminded her.

"Oh right..." said Mina, sounding depressed when she remembered this.

After having their camp ruined, Team N and two researchers, Houston and a woman named San Lin, found themselves making their way through a jungle, hoping to find the survivors of the gorilla attack.

Originally, the two researchers wanted to keep their conversation between each other a secret, but the students caught wind of them, thus leaving them with no choice to tell them the truth.

"So the entire expedition's purpose was to look for that giant gorilla...?" said asked Shouto.

San nodded. "Yes, we had to find out more info on it before deciding what to do with it."

"You plan on killing it?" asked Kojo, not sounding too pleased about it.

"Depends," replied Houston. "Monarch has dedicated itself to tracking down Titans in order to see if they are not a threat to mankind or not. Admittedly, there were a few Titans that had been put down in the past..."

"I can't believe that giant monsters you saw in movies would actually exist..." said Tooru.

"We once thought superpowers and superheroes only exist in comics until Quirks came along, and now giant movie monsters are real...?" said Kyoka. "What's next? Aliens? Ghosts?"

"If the existence of Titans was supposed to be a kept a secret, then why involve us students in this as an internship?" Shouto asked the researchers.

"Truth is... there was no intention for any form of internship with UA at first..." admitted Houston. "But coincidentally, the U.S. military branch in Japan that we wanted to work with happened to have made an internship deal with your school. We protested against this without revealing the real reason why students shouldn't be involved, but... Let's just say your school staff were really confident about your survival skills and ultimately pushed us into accepting this..."

"I feel like this may be a bit too much for us to handle, even if we did get involved in pretty crazy villain schemes and came out unscathed in the past..." said a nervous Ochako.

"We're sorry for getting you involved in this..." San apologized to them.

"Now that this has happened, we have no choice but to make our way out of this island alive and get back to Japan," said Shouto. "Don't worry; we can take care of ourselves using lessons on heroics we've learned, so we'll ensure that we all make it out of this."

Jack Chapman was with Team A. They were in separate helicopters that ended up crashing close to each other after being knocked down by the gorilla. All the men in Chapman's copter were dead, while in the latter's copter, only the students survived. They were currently somewhere on the island's jungle.

Fortunately for them, one of the walkie-talkies was still functioning, and Chapman was actually able to get in touch with Packard. "You stay there with the students," Packard's voice said through the other end.

"Roger that," Chapman told him as he sat on a rock. "I'll take good care of them until you arrive."

Understanding English and overhearing the conversation, Yuuga said to him, "Actually, we are good at taking care of ourselves. If anything, you may be the one we have to look after..."

"Honestly, I'm not sure we're exactly trained for this sort of situation... Ribbit..." said a nervous Tsuyu.

"So... are we going to talk about what the heck that was just now...?" asked Denki, still trying to get over his shock.

"Yeah, we got attacked by a giant gorilla..." said Rikido.

"I've never seen a gorilla that big before..." said Mezo. "Is that even possible...?"

"Either someone has a transformation Quirk that lets him become a giant gorilla, or that gorilla has an enlargement Quirk..." said Tsuyu.

"I just hope we get out of here fast..." said a rather scared Yuga as he looked around. He could hear weird-sounding cries that sounded like bird cries. "This place gives me the creeps..." Looking around again, he was sure he saw something moving among the leaves all around the place up in the trees, which only made him more nervous.

TO BE CONTINUED

Another chapter finished! Great thanks to all those who reviewed and enjoyed the story so far! I hope you all stick with this story until the end and review often!

And this may be bit early to tell you now, but I think I might as well get it out of the way first so that you do not have to dread too much. NONE of the Class 1-A folks are going to die. I'm not so cruel to make this a tragic story and allow that kind of thing. Plus, killing them off won't leave much opportunity for a sequel. Not that I'm saying there will be a sequel or some sort of continuation to this story, mind you... Whether or not this will become a full-blown Monsterverse crossover is something I have yet to decide on, so please don't jump for joy just yet.
