Lost Sense of Purpose
Chapter Two
After eating with recharging his energies needing to be going over the detail of the deep
cover operation. Meanwhile, Marcie had been upstairs resting steaming somewhat with
her anger building.
Leroy Jethro Gibbs will be getting knee-deep into the operation with playing Commander Leroy
Higgins age 64 transferring in from Orlando, Florida. He needed to be sure that he wasn't going to
be screwing up with his demeanor when it comes to the officers on board along with making
sure that he will stay focus.
Yawning slightly needing his caffeine even though if he drinks the coffee he's going to be staying up
most of the night and with keeping his wife awake with his antics.
Finishing the last pages of the file. He had placed it down with looking up at the time and a knock on his door. He had no idea just who it might be at nine o'clock at night. He had gotten up from the couch with leaving his glasses and the file on the couch.
Moving over to the locked door to see both McGee, Torres, and Bishop. This was not a good thing to have the both of them here. He hopes to god they weren't going to be staying long. Since he wasn't in the mood to hear what they have to say in regard to his suspension by Director Leon Vance.
"What's going on McGee?" Gibbs asked with the question.
"We wanted to be sure that you're doing the right thing with going undercover?" Tim asked in front of him.
"I am sure Tim. I was asked to do this and I am going to finish it up no matter what might happens," he said to the three of them.
"Are you sure Gibbs? Because we found another crewmember from the U.S.S. Horatia an agent for the Attorney General Agent Gerald Wilcox. He was found only an hour ago after your meeting with him in the park." Bishop said to him.
"How in the hell did you know I was meeting with him in the park?" he was angry with his chest feeling heavy.
"Vance had us keeping an eye out on you in order to keep you out of trouble during your suspension after Marcie Warren had left after finding her associate being behind the Cartel in order to torture you," Bishop said with the Intel.
"How dare he to place a tail on me? I want all three of you out of here now. While I have a job that needs to be done."
"Look Gibbs you're taking a huge gambit with the undercover operation. If they find out that you're an NCIS agent. They will certainly get rid of you as well." Tim had to say to him.
"I will take my chances as Marcie told me on the phone since she is working hard on her new story even though it's been proved that Senator William Anderson has been taking all types of bribes. Even though this won't look good for him and his daughter Melissa."
"One thing for sure the woman is exactly like you both inside and out for when she has a nose for news?" Bishop had to say to her boss even though suspended for now.
"True. Now please get out of here so that I can finish up with reading the information in this file." Gibbs replied.
The three of them moved out of his house after watching Lucy head for the couch to move into her bed for sleeping near the kitchen. Gibbs had left a bowl of water and some snacks for Lucy that he loves a great deal even since taking her in as a pet.
OUTSIDE THE HOUSE
"We need to do something McGee?" Nick needed to do something. He cried out with heading for his vehicle with Eleanor Bishop.
"I will see if I can talk to Marcie on maybe she will be able to talk him out of it. Otherwise, if Vance decides that Gibbs is going to get himself killed in the process." McGee relayed the information to his team members since having to be in charge once they had found out from Vance that he had been suspended.
McGee reaching his truck as well across the street pulled out his cell phone to bring up the number for Marcie Warren back at her house trying to rest the best she could. Her cell phone was sitting on the grey night table set on vibrate.
She needed a new partner ever since her past one Dan was arrested for having to work with the Cartel and a number of charges against him. He was currently sitting in the Danville prison with other hardened criminals.
She had gotten up when she heard her cell phone going off in the late evening. She found it to be Timothy McGee of NCIS wondering why he was calling her.
"McGee I am up and I need to know why you're calling me of all things?" She said with slight annoyance in her angered demeanor.
"Leroy Jethro Gibbs I don't know if he had told you about his latest undercover mission onboard a Naval carrier posing as a commander of the vessel in order to search for a murderer?"
"He told me, McGee. I told him that he was taking chances with his life as if I was caring a great deal about what had happened the last time with getting shot in the stomach," she replied with extreme emotion.
"DON'T YOU?" McGee asked with catching her off guard with the question.
"What I think is none of your business as with the rest of the team? Gibbs is doing his job even though somewhat dangerous as well. I tried talking to him about it and he just blew me off mostly with his response. The man is most stubborn to the hilt?" she cried out with the response and with hanging up the phone.
