-Chapter 2-
Scott set up a pack meeting in one of the local fast food restaurants.
It had been months since Malia and Stiles broke up, he was her first love so it took her longer than she had expected to get over it, but when she found out about her ex-love and best friend, she was happy for both of them. She got some good advice from Lydia to move on and find a new guy.
Malia had been taking some classes at the local community college, trying to figure out what to do with her life. While also helping her dad at the farm, giving a hand with any coyotes eating crops.
Malia was in her room, writing an essay for one of her college classes when she got a text message from Scott.
''Meet at Beacon Diner, there's someone I want everyone to meet.''
Malia quickly dressed in some shorts, a tank top and her pair of hiker boots. Cramming her notebook in her backpack, heading for the door.
''Malia?'' claimed Henry Tate.
''Yes, dad.'' Malia said.
''Would you mind helping me out back, really quick?'' inquired Mr Tate.
''Um, I really have to get going dad, I'm meeting some friends.'' responded Malia.
''It won't take too long, please.'' pleaded Mr Tate.
''Fine.'' exclaimed Malia.
It did in fact take long, leaving Malia to sprint to the diner.
-At the diner-
Kira had been visiting from the skinwalkers (she was allowed a break after making a lot of progress), she was excited to see Isaac again. Kira was sitting at a booth with Lydia and Stiles comfortably beside her. On the other side of the booth was Liam and Mason talking about school and lacrosse. Scott and Isaac arrived a little over 10 minutes later and the reunion began.
''Isaac, this is Liam and Mason. Liam is my beta and Mason is his human best friend.'' Scott said, referring to the two seniors huddled on the side of the booth conversing.
''Your beta, didn't realise you had it in you, buddy'' Isaac said with a once again sly grin.
''Thanks, it's a long story but I didn't have much of a choice. You remember Stiles, Lydia and Kira.'' Scott proclaimed.
''Yeah, good to see you guys.'' Isaac said, giving each of them a hug.
''We've all missed you.'' Kira said, returning the hug, speaking for everyone.
Isaac then noticed the new found couple, Stiles and Lydia, simply saying….
''Finally.''
''Thanks'' they said in unison, slightly giggling to themselves.
Suddenly there was a banging of the front door as Malia rushed in with her backpack slowly falling down her arms, her hair frizzy and standing on its ends from running in the strong wind, but all that Isaac could see was mesmerising beauty, he hadn't seen anything like that since Allison. That scared him.
''Sorry I'm late, dad needed help at the farm.'' Malia exclaimed, taking the last seat at the booth next to Scott.
''It's fine we were just introducing an old pack member, Isaac'' Scott said with a warm smile.
''Who?'' Malia said with a confused look on her face, having no clue who this boy was.
''That's me.'' Isaac says, prodding his head around Scott.
''Ohh, nice to meet you, I'm Malia Tate '' Malia said, reaching her hand out.
''Right, the werecoyote that we saved, it's nice to meet you too.'' Isaac said, shaking her hand with a mesmerised look which Malia didn't seem to notice but someone else did.
''So, should we order?'' Liam said, there was an awkward silence, as people picked up on the chemistry between Isaac and Malia.
''Yes'' said everyone simultaneously.
''Malia, what's your favourite food?'' Isaac asked out of nowhere, everyone proceeded to look at him.
''Deer.'' She nearly shouted with a happy face, Stiles proceeded to correct her.
''Pizza Malia, she likes pizza'' Stiles said.
''Right, pizza'' Malia said with a frown.
Everyone proceeds into conversation, Scott joining Liam and Mason in conversing about lacrosse. While Kira joined Lydia in a discussion about one of the classes Lydia was taking. Isaac nudged Malia and whispered to her.
''I think it's pretty cool that deer is your favourite food.'' he exclaimed.
''Um, you do?'' inquired Malia.
''Yeah, I mean you did live as a coyote for 8 years, it can be hard to acclimate to normal life.''
''I guess you're right, thank you.'' exclaimed Malia.
''Yeah, anytime.''
Malia and Isaac proceeded into their own conversation about what they like and what they don't, until the food arrived. It turned out to be the best conversation either one of them had had in a while since their significant others. Isaac was beginning to think that Malia Tate was the best thing to currently roam this world.
