OKAY, Mat breathe, surely there's a good explanation...right? What was in that fucking beer!? I swear if Leo put some drug inside it I'm gonna kill him! I can't even pinch myself to see if I'm dreaming!

Exasperated I pick myself up and take a good look at my surroundings: As I said I'm in a shady alleyway apparently deserted, created by a small gap between buildings, the street is made of concrete but deeper in the alleyway it switches to pebbles.

God, how did I even got here? And more importantly where is HERE? I have never seen this street and I know the city like the palm of my hand...

Feeling uneasy I start walking towards the voices I hear while I pick my phone from my pocket. It's a Samsung Galaxy S20(Yes Booklore I really have that phone) with the screen slightly ruined but it does its job.

"What? No signal? You must be kidding me..." I let my words escape in frustration.

I wonder if Kyle and Leo are here too, I'm sure that if they were here whit me it wouldn't be that bad.

My thoughts come to an alt when I spot the end of the alleyway, the voices have turned very loud now, so I can only guess there must be the main street there.

Whatever I'll just ask around where am I and in no time I'll be home, how much could I even have traveled anyway?

I step outside the dark alleyway, momentarily blinded by the light I raise my arm to shield my eyes until I finally adjust.

What... the... HELL?!

I seriously can't believe my eyes: the street is indeed very crowded but what is really unsettling it's that it's not crowded only by humans:
I silently watch as many demi-humans and Lizardmen walk nonchalantly among humans like it was completely normal. The street itself isn't that unnatural: it's made of pebbles and alongside it, there are various stalls selling fruits, swords, food, and...Is that a freaking dried spider? Gross.

I quickly stop the first human person that I can and frantically ask him where I am.

"Are you serious? We are in Lugunica the city at the further est of the realm are you drunk?" and after that, he quickly leaves in a hurry.

Lugunica... Lugunica... where did I hear of it...? Wait... there's no way! It's where Re:Zero takes place!

Yup Leo put some drugs in that beer for sure, but it all feels so real... the loud voices, the people, the warm sensation of the sun... there's no other explanation:

My thoughts are interrupted by the sudden cry of a girl coming from the center of the street, by further examination it seems that she fell and a carriage is going to invest her soon.

Damn fuck it if I've been transported here I might as well make a good first impression!

I quickly get up and run towards the street, jump, and shove the girls away with my weight; after some seconds the carriage pass and the danger is over.

"Phew... that was close, are you ok?" I gently ask the girl. Suddenly I hear praising:

"Wohoo good job!", "Way to go boy!", "You saved her!" the people cheer and I suddenly feel very shy.

After this episode, the girl gives me a little bag with a few silver coins inside, a peck on the cheek, and goes away.

Well, that was... something, wait isn't Subaru supposed to be near here?

I frantically scan my surroundings hoping to find the black-haired guy. Luckily his clothes are very different from the others so I spot him walking away from the scene.

"Hey, you! Wait for me!" I yell as I sprint to catch up.
