Instead of meeting Gabe, Sally meets Julius Kane who was recently made a widower, and his adorable children. He is a kind man who she believes would be the perfect father figure for Percy.
This also will allow her sweet baby boy to grow up in a nice loving family with siblings, while still being protected from monsters, as they are usually traveling.
At first they both think the other has a strange obsession with Greek/ Egyptian mythology, but after a monster attack and neither being surprised, they sit down and have an over do chat.
Overall the jackson and the kane family become one happy unusual family. (That may or may not start investigating other religions, or be extremely and amusingly multilingual).
Also Percy has an actual teacher that helps him work with ADHD and his dyslexia.
Basically I want a big happy family that freaks out both the Greek and Egyptian gods because they are not supposed to exist together.
Also Percy/the Kanes take no shut and maybe threaten to join another mythos if they don't stop being ducks.
Also maybe death gods may have a soft spot for them. After all the non deadly (therefore not increasing their workload), chaos they create for their Asshole relatives in the overworked.
They talk about it at the yearly underworld meeting (gambling ring).
