For everyone's information, this chapter has been rewritten. OG chapters 2 and 3 have been removed. It has come to my attention (and several viewers) that Ezra and Sabine won't just go straight to Beacon. Granted, it was for plot, but it seemed completely out of character for the two.

Enjoy the new chapter! New one will be coming up soon!

Chapter 2

The afternoon had finally come to the small town in the Forever Fall, after an attack committed by the White Fang. The radical group was attempting to forcibly recruit any Faunus into their ranks, execute all the humans, and steal whatever dust shipments they had. Their plan ultimately failed, as two unidentified huntsmen sabotaged their plan. Leaving nearly half of their men unconscious, while the other fled the scene.

The town was now filled with civilians and veteran huntsmen cleaning up. One man, with fair skin, amber eyes, messy white hair, and glasses was speaking to a male civilian.

"And you're sure these two were huntsmen?" he asked

"I'm sure Headmaster." the man replied, "Very young though, I'd say around a first-year or maybe second-year student. One was a boy, black hair, tanned skin, deep blue eyes. He wore an...orange uniform, brown pants, and armored boots. His friend was a girl, I could tell by her voice, she had this armor, pink and purple to be exact."

The Headmaster scratched his chin, "Did they have any weapons?"

The man nodded, "Yes they did, some of the weirdest weapons I've ever seen. Both had rather bland looking pistols. The boy had one while his friend had two. But it looked like they didn't use dust, they fired some weird red bolts. The girl used a jetpack to fly around, but the weirdest thing were the swords they used. It was almost as if they were pure energy, uh the boy had an emerald green blade. But the girl had a pure black one, it was outlined in white, and gave off a white glow."

The headmaster hummed in interest before looking at one of the destroyed buildings, purple stains covered the area, along with the arrested White Fang operatives.

"I assume these two warriors were also responsible for that?" he guessed

"Oh yes!" the man answered, "They used these paint bombs too! Covered the Faunus in purple paint! Quite amusing if you ask me! The girl painted these strange symbols on some of the buildings as well."

The man then proceeded to point at an intact building where a purple symbol was painted onto its side. The Headmaster inspected the symbol with great interest, it was of a bird rising through flames, almost like a phoenix.

The man raised an eyebrow, "Hmm…"

The Gauntlet flew through the sky, high above the clouds to not draw any suspicion. Ezra sat in the cockpit manning the controls, as he and Sabine were taking turns evaluating the Gauntlet's repairs.

It was then that the young Mandalorian and Chopper entered the cockpit, and Ezra turned to face them.

"Anything on the ship?" Ezra asked her, "That I didn't see of course."

"Nothing." Sabine replied, "Chopper managed to get shields up to 50%, and hopefully they'll be up to full power soon. I installed some of the fuel cells you packed on the ship. We have enough to last us...I'd say a few months to a year tops."

Ezra nodded before rubbing the back of his head, "That's good to hear."

"Yeah well, as for life-support and the hyperdrive, they're still offline." Sabine added, "We can repair them, but it'll take...time."

"Hmm…" Ezra muttered, "So...what now?"

"Well…" Sabine began as she sat down in her seat, "We certainly left an impression on that village. So I'm suggesting we lay low for now, get as much information on this planet as we can."

"Well you know we can't survive on the rations we have." Ezra added, "We need money as well."

"Kriff…" Sanine hissed as Ezra continued, "Well, there's bound to be someone out there willing to pay for odd jobs."

"Whoa, now hold on a minute." she said as he sat up, "You're not thinking about going back to our time when working for Vizago are you?"

"Sabine, we need money." she explained, "Look I don't like it either, but think about it."

Ezra sighed before nodding, "Alright. First we get an understanding of where we are. Then we focus on money."

The two then turned to the Gauntlet's controls as Chopper grumbled something.

"Sorry Chopper, you don't get a vote." Sabine said to the droid with a smirk on her face

"Hey, I'm getting something on the scanners." Ezra muttered, "There's a city nearby. Sounds like the perfect place to get intel."

"Let's land the ship on the outskirts." Sabine replied

Once they landed the Gauntlet, Ezra and Sabine left it in the woods under Chopper's care. They then walked towards the city entrance, where they were greeted by a sign.

"The City of Vale…" Ezra muttered while reading the sign, "Interesting."

As they approached the entrance, they noticed what had to be a security guard on duty. He stopped them in their tracks with a firm hand raised.

"Your Scrolls please." he said to them

"Our what?" Sabine muttered

"Your Scrolls." the guard repeated, "For identification."

Ezra then stepped in, "Right, hold on."

The young Jedi went into his pocket, nut instead of pulling something out. He raised his hand in front of the guard's face.

"You will let us pass." he said

The man's eyes glossed over, "I will let you pass…"

"We're free to go." Ezra added, waving his hand again

"You are free to go…" the guard repeated before moving to the side. Both rebels then walked past him.

"Not bad." Sabine muttered while lightly punching his shoulder, "For a Jedi."

"Hey, I've done that trick many times over." Ezra retorted, "I'd say that was the best one yet."

The duo then made their way into Vale, where they got to see what it was like.

"Hmm, architecture is elegant." Sabine muttered

Ezra could only smirk, "Sabine the artist is getting an inspiration I assume?"

"Shut up." she scoffed while rolling her eyes

"This place is huge though." Ezra continued looking at their surroundings, "Bigger than Lothal's capital city."

"But smaller than the Mandalorian capital of Sundari." Sabine added, "I wonder why."

"Maybe because of those creatures we fought?" Ezra guessed, "There could be so many that they needed a safe haven from them."

Sabine shrugged, "That's...a working theory...Hey, over here."

Sabine pointed at a nearby building, a sign hug on it reading: Vale Public Library.

"Sounds like the right place." Ezra muttered before they entered the building. The library was massive, having three levels full of shelves and area with books.

After an extensive search, which lasted over three and a half hours tops, the two teens found themselves at a table on the second floor of the library. Several piles of books were scattered next to them, and surrounding them.

From their research, the planet they were on was called Remnant. Unlike other planets in the known galaxy, such as Lothal or the Imperial capital of Coruscant, Remnant had no planetary government. Instead all inhabitants lived in massive super-cities, four kingdoms to be exact. These included Vale; the kingdoms they were in, Mistral, Vacuo, and Atlas. Originally, Atlas was known as Mantle, and along with Mistral waged a ten-year long war against Vale and Vacuo, which became known as the Great War. After the former two kingdoms' defeat, a treaty was forged on the island of Vytal where the government of the kingdoms were reorganized into ruling councils, and more cooperation was implemented between them. Overtime Mantle was overshadowed by its sister city of Atlas, which became the new dominant kingdom of the continent.

Dust was the most important mineral in Remnant. From trade to survival, and everyday life. It was described as the elements in a physical form. Such as fire, earth, water, and ice. Some could even bond into new dust types, such as electricity and gravity dust. It's used in weapons, and even embedded into one's clothing.

Remnant was mostly inhabited by two species; humans were the dominant one, while second came the Faunus. The Faunus were humanoids that bore a distinct trait of an animal, such as ears, wings, noses, even claws. However due to these such traits, humanity had borne extreme prejudice towards them. However after the Great War, the Faunus were ultimately given equal rights and the sub-continent of Menagerie to act as a 'safe-haven' of sorts for them. While some saw this as an act towards peace between the two species, in reality it was a move made by sore-losers to get the faunus out of the kingdoms. As Menagerie was two-thirds of a harsh desert, while the rest was easy to inhabit. Several Faunus got together to form an organization known as the White Fang, which hoped to end the animosity between them and humanity. However, the founder of the White Fang stepped down after working on it for so long. His replacement was more radical and turned the White Fang into the terrorist organization it had become.

Then came the next major topic: the Grimm. The same monsters Ezra and Sabine fought the other night. They were creatures of pure darkness that were drawn towards negative emotions. They had slaughtered countless human and Faunus villages around the world, leaving the four kingdoms and Menagerie as safe-havens. To counter this were the huntsmen, warriors trained to fight the Grimm and protect the kingdoms from bandits and other dangerous groups lurking outside. Every kingdom had one huntsmen academy to train huntsmen. Vale had Beacon, Mistral had Haven, Vacuo had Shade, and Atlas...well it had the same as the kingdom. Huntsmen fought with their aura, which was described as the 'manifestation of one's soul' and something that Grimm don't have. Their aura could protect them and heal them if not depleted, and work in conjunction with their semblance. Apparently, a semblance was an ability granted to every individual.

"Hey Sabine, I have theory." Ezra said to her as they sat in the library

"I'm listening." she replied before looking at him

"I think the people of this planet use the Force." Ezra explained, "Not like the Jedi or Sith, but or of an aspect of it."

"What do you mean?" Sabine questioned

"Think of the Nightsisters." Ezra continued, "Their connection to Dathomir and their magic. It could be similar to the huntsmen here."

"Hmm." Sabine muttered, "You might onto something. I think we have enough information on Remnant. I took the liberty of scanning several books for us to look at while on the Gauntlet."

"Did you find anything else?" Ezra asked her

"Oh right! Color is an important part of Remnant's culture." she added

"Oh boy…" Ezra muttered while rubbing the bridge of his nose

"They have something called the color-naming rule, where everyone's name has to sound or make someone think of a color." Sabine explained

"That sounds hard." Ezra chuckled lightly, "Is it mandatory?"

"No it isn't." Sabine replied, "But it's popular to do."

"How would it even work?" Ezra questioned, "I mean I can't think of a color for my name."

"Hmm...nope got nothing." Sabine replied, thinking of a color

"Thanks...artist." Ezra sarcastically muttered, making Sabine smirk at him

"Got an idea for me?"

"Sabine, I don't even think one color is gonna work for you." Ezra retorted, "You're already quite colorful, and that's a compliment."

Sabine then got an idea in her head, "What about me is colorful?"

"Well-I uh-you see…" Ezra stuttered, realizing that he fell into Sabine's trap, "...You're kind, trustworthy, funny, and a good friend."

Sabine nodded in satisfaction, "Well said, Master Jedi."

Suddenly, they heard the sound of something smashing outside. The sound was loud enough to startle them both, they then noticed several people running into the library in fear. Curious, both teens ran up to several civilians.

"What's going on?" Ezra asked

"The White Fang!" one of them shouted, "They're attacking the nearby dust shop! But they sent a larger force!"

"Don't worry." Ezra replied, his face hardened as Sabine donned her helmet

"We'll handle this…" Sabine added

"Come on! Get the dust!" a WF leader shouted as he watched his brothers tear out any dust samples, containers, and shelves in the store. All while damaging anything else that store had to offer.

"Please! Don't kill me!" the store manager begged, he had his hands up as two WF goons pointed their weapons at him

"Get him outside!" the leader ordered, one of the goons then grabbed the manager and threw him out onto the street. He and several other hostages were then lined up for execution.

"Ready!...Aim!...FIRE!"

BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!

Before any of the goons could execute the order, several blaster shots ran out and hit several Faunus, while others guns were knocked out of their hands.

"Scatter!" a leader shouted before he met the sight of an emerald green blade. He then fell to the ground a second later just as Ezra and Sabine finished off any WF goons willing to fight. Several others then held their hands up in surrender.

"We give up!" one of them pleaded

Both rebels then looked to what had to be the police helping the hostages.

"You guys got this?" Ezra asked them

"We do!" the officer answered, "Are you huntsmen?"

"You could say that." Sabine replied before looking at Ezra, "Come on Ezra."

The young Mandalorian then ran off, leaving Ezra to follow suit, "Sabine wait up!"

Ezra managed to catch up with his friend as they ran off from the scene, "Where are we going?"

"The White Fang must have a ship or hideout nearby." Sabine said to him, "Chopper, bring the Gauntlet around."

"I thought we agreed on keeping a low profile?" Ezra asked her

"We are, besides we already stopped the White Fang before and they saw the ship." Sabine added

With that said, the two made their way back to the city gates, hoping to link back up with Chopper. Unbeknownst to them, two individuals were watching them from the rooftops. A woman with blonde hair tied into a bun watched the two with a scorn on her face. She was about to make a move when a hand grasped her shoulder.

"No." he said to her, "Not now. Let them go."

"Are you sure that's a wise idea Professor?" Glynda asked

The Professor simply stared at the sight of the battle…
