Episode 1: Footing- Part 1

Titans Tower. A week has passed since the new team were introduced to their new headquarters. Nightwing, Starfire, Cyborg, Raven and Changeling were finishing up the tour.

Cyborg:
And over there is where we keep our trophies. Wally gave us that idea back when he was Kid Flash.

Kacey:
Typical dad.

Nightwing:
Zeta tubes have recently been installed so you can travel from here to your homes. (They enter the common room) And that's pretty much the end of the tour. All you need now is a leader. I trust you'll all work well together and do your parents proud. So, good luck.

Damian:
Thanks, Nightwing. You can count on me to lead them.

Mar'i:
And why would it be you? I am the daughter of the former leader.

Damian:
And me, Batman's son. It's in my genes to lead. Isn't that right, Helena?

Helena:
Don't get me involved in this.

Kacey:
You sure would make a better leader than Mis- (She sees Nightwing and Starfire) Mar'i.

Murdoc:
I don't know. She has more potential and she has superpowers.

Jon:
She's got the same ones as her brother. I am the only one with laser vision.

Damian:
Do you want to lead us?

Jon:
What? No, you will do that very well.

Jaden:
We should do a training exercise. We'll see how it goes.

Mar'i/Damian:
Okay.

Raven:
You're already being pro-active. We don't need to be here now.

Starfire:
Yes. Let's go home.

Cyborg:
Good luck, son. I advise you to use your armour as much as necessary. It will prevent you from hurting yourself.

Jaden:
Okay, Dad.

Changeling:
Don't forget to have fun.

Lilith:
No problem, Dad.

Raven:
But be careful with your powers.

Murdoc sighs.

Murdoc:
Yes, Mom.

Paine:
I will keep an eye on them.

Raven:

Thanks, Paine.

Starfire hugs her two children.

Starfire:
You are growing up too fast, my Bumgorfs. Especially you, Mar'i. You will soon reach a new level.

Mar'i:
You mean?

Starfire:
Yeah.

Mar'i moaned.

Mar'i:
Oh no.

Koro:
Why are you moaning? You will have new powers, that's cool.

Mar'i:
Did you forget what happened before ?

Koro:
You just have to ask Cyborg for the rings.

Mar'i:
Good idea.

Starfire:
If only I had had them back then...

Nightwing:
So you think you can lead them, Damian ?

Damian:
I'm sure.

Nightwing:
Because our father would rather work alone than lead the Justice League. In case you forgot.

Damian:
He still gives successful plans.

Nightwing:
That's right. I'm not going to side with anyone. Whether it's you or Mar'i, I'm sure you will make great leaders. You've practiced enough together to make it happen.

Damian:
Thank you.

Content, the five founders leave via Zeta tube.

Kacey:
I think we should make Mar'i the leader, Damian's too reckless.

Jaden:
That's funny, coming from you. Your dad is the most reckless member of the Justice League.

Kacey lights her hands with pink hex magic.

Kacey:
Say that again!

Jaden:
Your dad is the most reckless member of the Justice League.

She blasts him across the common room (Wilhelm Scream). He then gets up and starts to charge at her before Paine uses her magic to stop them.

Paine:
Enough!

Damian:
Alright, let's all go to the training area outside.

Mar'i:
Why outside? Have you seen those clouds? It's going to rain, silly.

Damian:
Alloroc has powers that work best outside. And it's not a little rain that will scare us. We will surely have missions in the storm, so I say we go outside.

Mar'i:
Because you're Batman's son?

Damian:
Exactly. Training indoors sucks.

Olivia:
Is it going to last long, Lian ?

Lian:
I don't know but I don't like to fight in the rain.

Lilith walks up to Koro and gives him a surprise hug.

Lilith:
Guess who?

Koro:
Uh...Lilith.

Lilith:
You win!

Paine (Exasperated):
Lilith, let him go.

Lilith:
But I'm bored.

Murdoc was agreeing with Lian.

Murdoc:
I also don't want to go outside. It sucks wet fur.

Kacey:
Don't worry, Murdoc. I will protect you from the rain.

Murdoc:
And how?

Kacey:
Uh...

Jon:
If it turns stormy, it could be dangerous.

Alloroc:
I prefer to fight outside. I risk causing damage to the tower if I unleash my power.

Jaden:
My armour is resistant to lightning but I'd rather face the holographic enemies in the training room.

Damian/Mar'i:
Alright, we're going to vote.

Damian:
Who wants to go outside?

Kacey, Alloroc and Lilith raise their hands.

Mar'i:
Who wants to stay inside?

Murdoc, Jon, Jaden, Paine, Lian and Helena raise their hands. Damian groans.

Damian:
Alright, let's stay inside.

Jaden:
I'm already voting Damian as leader.

The Training Room: Later. Jaden was cracking his knuckles as he prepared to face whatever will come to him. While Damian sharpened his sword.

Jaden:
A sword vs an armoured suit? Wayne, you must be insane. Hey, if your sword breaks, I ain't paying.

Damian:
It better not; this sword is irreplaceable. This belonged to Talia Al Ghul of the League of Assassins, handed to me as a birthday present from Uncle Jason and Auntie Rose.

Jaden:
Noted.

Olivia:
Can we get started now?

Damian:
Sure. (He sheathes his sword and turns to the team) Now that everyone's here. I will modify what I had originally planned. We will face Parademons and as the final boss, Darkseid.

Mar'i:
Darkseid? Darkseid! Are you crazy?! He's one of the most dangerous villains in the universe and he killed my aunt! Why not Trigon, while you're at it. Or better; both at the same time!

Damian:
No, I don't think we can handle both.

Paine:
I think she was being sarcastic.

Mar'i:
Yeah, we're no match for him.

Jaden taps the control panel; images of past villains pop up on a holographic screen.

Jaden:
Besides, he's not programmed into the list of enemies to fight. I guess Dad has put a safety device so that we don't get hurt, or worse.

Damian:
Who is the final boss?

Jaden:
We have a choice of Control Freak, Dr Light, Mumbo, Mad Mod or Slade.

Damian:
Go for Slade.

Mar'i:
This guy tried to kill me when I was little.

Damian:
Tell yourself it's revenge. Either way, the others are lame. A fanboy, a walking light, a magician or an old hypnotist. I want a challenge.

Jaden:
Don't worry, Mar'i. I'm going to set the difficulty level to 1. We should be able to beat it.

Mar'i sighs.

Mar'i:
Very well.

Damian:
Sorry Alloroc, but you're going to stay on the side-lines. With your powers, you could either destroy the tower or drown us.

Mar'i:
I agree with him. Sorry, Alloroc.

Alloroc:
It doesn't matter. I'll see how you fare against the Parademons and Slade.

Damian:
Jaden, countdown.

Jaden:
Three.

Olivia and Lian arm their bows, Helena arms her crossbow. Jon clenches his fists. Kacey snaps her fingers to activate her pink sparkles. Jaden puts on his Hornet armour.

Hornet:
Two.

Paine's hands light up with green magic. Murdoc changes his arms into gorilla arms. Lilith changes her legs to that of a gazelle. Damian unsheathes his sword. Mar'i and Koro light their eyes green or blue.

Hornet:
One!

He presses the green button. Holographic Slade bots spawn in and charge at the teens. Helena fired her arrow at one of them, causing it to have an electric shock while Lian fired an arrow that caused it to explode. Then Jon fired his laser beams at the Slade bots, causing them to explode.

Koro:
You could've left some for the rest of us, Superboy!

Jon:
Got carried away.

Damian:
This is about as much teamwork as I expected from my best friend.

Jon:
Don't sweat, Damian. We can, restart the course and take it turns. Whoever gets the lowest points will have to buy whatever the winner decides.

Mar'i:
It doesn't sound fair on the losers, though.

Kacey:
No-one asked you, Miss Perfect.

Jon:
We should start with Mar'i. Ladies first

Kacey:
Quit flirting, flyboy!

Jon:
I'm just being nice.

Murdoc:
With you, that's flirting!

Paine just rolls her eyes.

Murdoc:
Don't roll your eyes at me! (Points at Damian) Roll your eyes at him.

They are interrupted by the Crime Alert.

Damian:
Crime alert! What's going on Jaden?

Jaden pushes a button on his chest that activated a hologram projection of live footage of a giant mantis attacking.

Jaden:
Most likely an experiment gone awry.

Mar'i/Damian:
Titans Go! (To each other) Hey!

Jump City- Downtown: Later. An entire street has been barricaded, while the police and some of the army try to subdue the mantis, but it was too strong and was taking them out and downing several helicopters. The Titans arrive.

Lilith:
Okay, somebody better have a plan.

Jon:
Not to worry. I'm the son of Superman, this would be a piece of cake.

He begins to fly, but Damian stops him.

Damian:
Wait! We need a plan.

Mar'i:
Good idea. Jon, Koro, fly up and draw its fire-

Damian:
Lian, Olivia, Helena; go behind it and attempt to weaken it.

Mar'i:
Excuse me Damian. But I have it under control.

Damian:
You can't just spout a plan without me.

Mar'i:
And who put you in charge?!

Damian:
Who put you in charge?!

Alloroc:

Guys, can't we just stop fighting each other and fight that monster?

Jon:
Or can't we just go in without a plan?! Because it's a giant mantis destroying the city. Why would we need a plan?

Mar'i:
Innocent lives, that's why.

Lilith:
Uh, who's the leader here?

Mar'i/Damian:
I am! What?!

Behind them, the giant mantis picks up an army truck with its front arms and crushes it between its mandibles.

Jaden:
Somebody better start planning or I'll start blasting!

The mantis walks off down the road.

Lian:
Oh great. It's gone.

Jon:
Can't I just carry it and throw it into the sun?

Jaden:
No, I wanna study it!

Kacey:
I'm going home!

She speeds off.

Grayson Residence- Later. Dick and Starfire were watching the evening news.

Linda Park:
In other news, a giant mantis attacked Jump City and the only help the city got were a bunch of bickering teenagers.

Dick:
Bickering teenagers? That sounds like-

AI:
DESIGNATION- NIGHTSTAR. DESIGNATION- AVOCET.

Mar'i and Koro zeta tube into the living room; Silkie wakes up in his basket.

Starfire:
How was your first day as a Teen Titan?

Mar'i:
Terrible Mom! There's no leadership! The whole team is in disarray!

Koro:
It's a disarray because you and Damian have been arguing on who gets to lead us when it clearly should be Jon.

Dick:
Clark told me Jon has no interest in being team leader.

Starfire:
I might have an idea: Mar'i, maybe you should let Damian be team leader for one day. Then the next day, he lets you be team leader. Whoever is thought of as the better leader will be made team leader.

Mar'i:
I'll think about it.

Koro:
It won't be easy to decide between you.

Mar'i:
Because you wouldn't choose your big sister ?

Koro:
Uh...

Dick:
Go see Damian. He may agree to your proposal.

Mar'i:
Okay dad.

She approaches the Zeta tube.

Mar'i:
The Batcave.

She leaves.

The Batcave- Later. Tim was sitting at the Bat-Computer.

AI:
DESIGNATION- NIGHTSTAR.

Mar'i appears.

Tim:
Hey, what are you doing here, Mar'i ?

Mar'i:
I'm here to see Damian. We need to talk about command issues.

Tim:
He's in the training room with Helena. And he's a little pissed off.

Mar'i:
Okay, thank you.

She enters the training room.

Mar'i:
Um, Damian?

Damian, who is duelling with a Holographic Slade (While Helena observes), loses hold of his sword and it flies in Mar'i's direction. She expertly dodges it, planting itself firmly into the wall.

Damian:
What are you doing here? You already annoyed me during the mantis incident today. You haven't stopped contradicting my orders. I'm Batman's son, I should be the leader.

Mar'i:
Don't start with that. My father was the leader of the first team. But I'm not here to argue. My mother suggested to me that we leave the command to the other for a day. Whoever makes the best leader will remain so.

Damian:
And who would start to be a leader?

Mar'i:
Either of us.

Damian:
We should end up with the best. So you start.

Mar'i:
The best ? We haven't even started!

Damian:
I have better leadership skills. So I'm better than you. You will see in 2 days.

Mar'i lights her green eyes. Helena looks at her brother and cousin.

Helena:
Oh, I better go.

Damian walks over to the wall and pulls his sword out. Mar'i shoots an energy bolt at him. He dodges it.

Damian:
Okay, maybe I exaggerated a bit. Calm down.

Mar'i's eyes stop glowing.

Mar'i:
See you tomorrow. And you start.

Damian:
If you want. But that will not change the result.

Mar'i leaves the training room and slams the door shut, causing the cave to shake.

Damian (Thinking):
She's really cute when she's mad.

Helena:
Don't flirt with your cousin. It makes me feel squeamish.

Damian:
Stop reading my mind. It's private! And then I didn't lie; I'm the best leader, right?

Helena:
Uh...

Damian:
Yes or No?

Helena:
You have made poor decisions in the past, like bribing Ace with treats when we snuck out one night.

Damian:
I was talking about the mantis thing earlier. If Mar'i hadn't sabotaged my efforts, we would have succeeded.

Helena:
From what we've seen, you're great friends, but a terrible team.

Damian:
The only one listening to me was Kacey. You could have made an effort, Helena.

Helena:
I was, but didn't because I was afraid to criticise you.

Damian:
Anyway, tomorrow I'm the almighty leader. So I'm counting on you.

Helena:
You should be counting on everyone else as well, Damian.

Damian:
Of course. The one that will give me the most problems is Murdoc. He spends his time doing the opposite of what I ask him to do. I do not understand why.

Helena:
Don't let the leadership thing go to your head, otherwise you'll turn into a Dictator.

Damian:
Okay. I will be reasonable with my orders. But it would be nice if you followed them.

Helena:
And if we object to them?

Damian (Impersonating Batman):
There'll be dire consequences.

Helena:
We'll see.

She leaves the Training room.

Damian:
I would have preferred to go last but tomorrow they will see who is the best leader. And I am not a dictator!

Helena:
You're beginning to sound like one

Damian:
Not at all.

Wayne Manor, Damian's Room: Later. He is lying on his bed, topless and sweaty.

Damian (Thinking):
How boring can she be?! I'm not a dictator ! I'll show them all. I can do as well as Nightwing.

Grayson Residence- Meanwhile. Mar'i is lying on her bed, lost in thought.

Mar'i (Thinking):
Why does he always have to be so arrogant? I find him rather cute but his behaviour irritates me. Hopefully he won't do anything stupid for training tomorrow.

Titans Tower- the following day.

AI:
DESIGNATION- ROBIN. DESIGNATION- HUNTRESS.

Damian and Helena arrive through the zeta tube.

Damian:
Seems were the first ones here.

Lian:
Mornin'.

They see Lian sitting at a kitchen bench, drinking Orange Juice.

Damian:
Or not. Hi, Lian. Have you been here long?

Lian:
I just came early to enjoy whose butt is getting beaten today.

Damian:
Have you seen Mar'i? I wanna talk to her.

Lian:
Does it involve anything erotic? Because fantasising about your cousin is super gross, dude.

Damian:
I don't fantasise about her!

Lian:
I see the way you look at her. It's the same look my aunt gave to my Dad when Mom decided to go back to the criminal life.

Damian:
Okay.

AI:
DESIGNATION- HORNET.

Jaden arrives through the zeta tube.

Jaden:
Hi, everyone.

Helena:
Hi Jaden.

Jaden:
Lemme say, I'm buzzed for today.

Damian (Sarcastically):
Very funny.

AI:
DESIGNATION- KID FLASH.

Kacey arrives through the zeta tube.

Kacey:
Am I late?

Damian:
No. We're still waiting on Olivia, Jon, the Graysons, the Logans-

AI:
DESTINATION- GREEN CANARY.

Olivia arrives through the zeta tube.

Olivia:
Hey everyone.

Damian:
You spend your time contradicting me archers, (Looks around at Helena, Lian and the recently-arrived Olivia) but that's okay.

Lian:
Because you're not our leader.

Damian:
Yet.

AI:
DESIGNATION- SUPERBOY.

Jon arrives via zeta tube.

Jon:
Hello. (Looks at Damian) You look a little pissed off, Damian. I hear your heart speeding up.

Damian:
No, it's okay. Mar'i and I have great news to tell you but we'll wait until everyone is here.

Jon:
If you two are dating, then that makes me sick. You're cousins.

Damian:
But not blood cousins.

Jon:
There are things stronger than blood.

Damian:
Team, me and Mar'i have an announcement-

Jon:
Sex! Called it!

Damian hits him up the back of the head.

Jon:
That didn't hurt.

AI:
DESTINATION- ALLOROC.

Alloroc arrives, soaking wet.

Alloroc:
Did I miss anything? I overslept this morning.

Lian:
No, the 2nd boss hasn't even arrived yet.

Alloroc shakes himself dry.

AI:
DESIGNATION- AVOCET.

Koro arrives, without Mar'i.

Koro:
My sister is going to be a little late.

Damian:
What is she doing?

Koro:
Let's say she has a puberty problem and she forgot to charge her holographic rings.

Lilith hugs him.

Lilith:
I missed you too much, Koro.

Paine sighs and snaps her fingers, separating them.

Lilith:
Hey!

Paine:
We're not here for that. And you saw each other yesterday.

AI:
DESIGNATION- NIGHTSTAR.

Mar'i finally arrives.

Kacey:
It's not too early.

Damian:
Now that we're finally all present, it's time to break the big news to you. Go ahead, Mar'i.

Mar'i:
As you know, yesterday there were some problems out in the field. But my mother suggested that I leave the command to one person so today, Damian is in charge and tomorrow it will be me. The best leader will remain. I'll let you talk, boss.

Damian:
Thank you, Mar'i. And don't call me boss! (Mar'i sticks out her tongue) To begin with, I will form pairs and you will do the obstacle course outside. The aim of the exercise is to finish the course together and help each other against obstacles. Questions?

Alloroc raises his hand.

Damian:
Yes?

Alloroc:
I gotta pee.

Damian sighs.

Damian:
Be quick.

Alloroc goes to the bathroom.

Damian:
Useful questions?

Everyone nods.

Damian:
Perfect so here are the pairs. Kid Flash with Murdoc. Paine with Black Arrow. Avocet with Green Canary. Hornet with Lilith. Nightstar with Huntress. Superboy with me.

Mar'i:
You forgot Alloroc

Damian:
Odd numbers. I hadn't expected that. Someone will have to pass twice. Volunteers?

Silence.

Damian:
Really? No one? So I'll pick... Kacey. You go first with Murdoc then you can pass a second time with Alloroc. You will have had time to rest.

Kacey:
Okay.

Damian:
Good.

Alloroc returns.

Damian:
Alloroc, you're going to partner with Kacey. And you will go last, understood?

Alloroc:
Understood.

Outdoor Training Course: A bit later.

Damian:
Murdoc, Kacey, get to the starting line.

Kacey rushes over to the start line as Murdoc drags his feet.

Murdoc (Thinking:
Obviously, he had to pair me up with this pest. At least he's not with Mar'i; that is a small consolation.

Kacey (Thinking):
We're gonna do it. Damian couldn't have chosen a better partner. He already has my vote for leader. I doubt Miss Perfect will do better.

Damian:
On your marks.

Kacey makes her body shake.

Damian:
Set.

Murdoc partly transforms into a cheetah.

Damian:
Go!

But Kacey made it to the end of the course first, leaving Murdoc to tackle the obstacles alone.

Damian:
I don't really call that teamwork. But there are four other obstacles so we'll see.

Five Minutes later, it's Koro and Olivia's turn. Lilith gives him a hug.

Lilith:
Good luck, Koro. I know you can do it.

Koro:
Thanks. I'll hug you back to encourage you too.

Lilith:
Thanks.

She lets go. Paine sighs.

Paine:
And it's been going on for too long. Good thing you didn't put them together, Damian.

Damian:
It was planned.

Koro joins Olivia who is already on the starting line.

Damian:
On your marks.

Olivia checks her bow and scrapes her throat.

Olivia:
Ow.

Damian:
Set.

Koro lights his eyes blue and clenches his fists.

Damian:
Go!

Koro flies off as Olivia runs behind him. Suddenly, he notices a high platform in the middle of the course and missiles coming in his direction. Before he can ignite his starbolts, Olivia destroys them with explosive arrows.

Koro:
Thanks.

Olivia:
You owe me one.

Without her noticing it, a machine gun comes out of the ground behind her and aims at her. Koro sees this and throws several starbolts at the machine gun before it starts firing, destroying it.

Koro:
You were saying?

Olivia:
Never mind.

He flies to the platform and waits for Olivia who uses a grapple arrow to join him.

Damian:
There's an improvement.

Another Five Minutes Later, it was Jaden and Lilith's turn. Koro reaches out his arms but Lilith is too fast and she hugs him first again.

Lilith:
Sorry but I know your mother's reputation.

Koro:
You're exaggerating. I'm not going to crush your bones...not like last time.

Lilith:
I have to be in good shape for this workout and do as well as you.

Koro:
Okay. Either way, there's no reason you can't.

Lilith:
My brother failed.

Koro:
It's because he's in conflict with Damian. But you, is not the case?

Lilith:
To be honest, I wouldn't know who to vote for as a leader.

Koro:
Me neither.

Jaden:
Are you done talking? I would like to start.

Lilith:
Sorry, I'm coming.

She runs to the starting line where Jaden is already waiting.

Damian:
On your marks.

Jaden puts on his Hornet armour, like Iron Man in Infinity War.

Damian:
Set.

Lilith turns her legs into gazelle legs.

Damian:
Go!

Lilith:
Try to keep up.

She runs ahead. Jaden sighs, ignites his boosters, takes off and passes her after a few seconds.

Jaden:
Now you're having trouble keeping up.

Later, it's Paine and Lian's turn. Paine teleports to the start line as Lian joins her.

Lian:
Show-off.

Lilith:
Go ahead, sister! You will do better than me!

Paine:
You'll get there too if you can focus on something other than Koro.

Lilith blushes. Lian checks her bow. Paine lights her hands green.

Damian:
Go!

Mar'i:
So, you still think you're better at being a leader?

Damian:
I have a problem with the Logans. Murdoc made it his way once more and Lilith, I don't even want to talk about it. But Paine should raise the bar.

On the training course, Paine flies and sees missiles approaching her, but she blocks them with her magic just before an arrow detonates them, sending her falling to the ground.

Lian:
Oops. You okay ?

Paine gets up.

Paine:
Yeah, I'm self-healing right now. But what's the matter with you?

Lian:
I thought you hadn't seen them and wanted to blow them up like Olivia. Sorry.

Damian:
I'm cursed.

Later, Paine and Lian finish.

Mar'i:
We're up. C'mon Helena.

Helena:
Coming.

They both approach the starting line.

Damian:
On your marks.

Helena picks up her crossbow and arms it

Helena:
By the way, Mar'i, you need to stop flirting with my brother.

Damian:
Set.

Mar'i:
Flirt? You mean when I almost burned him with a star bolt yesterday?

Helena:
Yeah.

Damian:
Go!

But the girls don't move.

Damian:
Did you not hear me? Go!

Mar'i:
Wait a second, I lost my concentration.

Helena starts to run.

Helena:
I'm going ahead.

Mar'i, unable to fly due to her cousin's thoughts, is forced to run but ends up catching her.

Mar'i:
The stories between me and your brother are none of your business.

Helena stops and crosses her arms.

Helena:
So you love him?

Mar'i:
Well, yeah, a little. Duck!

Helena:
What? I don't have the ability to transform myself.

Mar'i:
I'm not talking about the duck but get down! There is a drone aiming at us!

Helena turns around.

Helena:
Well, blow it up.

Mar'i:
I can't. You confused me.

Helena shoots an explosive arrow at the drone, blowing it to parts.

Helena:
Hey there you go, maybe you should get into archery.

Damian:
What the hell happened?

Mar'i:
I lost my concentration. I'm stopping for today. Good luck with the last two.

Koro:
But Mar'i...

Mar'i:
Sorry, brother. I will be in better shape tomorrow.

Murdoc:
If it's because of what you said to Helena, I can...

Mar'i:
No, that will be fine. It's nice, Murdoc but I just need a rest.

She goes back inside the tower.

Jon:
I feel it's something Helena said

Helena:
I didn't mean to. Anyway, you and Jon are up.

Damian:
We'll have to discuss this when we get home this evening. Ready, Jon.

Jon:
If you want to know everything, I know what they said to each other thanks to my super hearing.

Damian:
You will tell me after practice. I at least want us to succeed.

Jon:
Alright.

They meet at the start line.

Damian:
Jaden, count down, please.

Jaden:
Ready.

Jon lifts himself off the ground, his fists clenched.

Jaden:
Set.

Damian unsheathes his sword.

Jaden:
Go!

Jon flies into the air and catches a missile while Damian throws a batarang at one of the missiles. Platforms rise to different levels, forcing Damian to use his grappling hook. At the same time, two drones approach but Jon destroys them with his thermal vision. Damian arrives at the top of the last platform where several combat robots await him. He brandishes his sword and slices them one after the other as Jon uses his fists to destroy those who come up behind him.

Jaden:
It's over.

Damian (Breathless):
Thanks, Jon.

Jon:
Now can I tell you what your sister talked about to your cousin?

Damian:
Go ahead. I'm too tired to take it on Helena now.

Jon:
She talked about your feelings for Mar'i as if it was mutual.

Damian:
Helena, why did you tell her that? And in full training too. To believe that you want me to fail as a leader. Which is happening because there have been only two successful pairs.

Alloroc:
Ahem.

Damian:
Kacey, Alloroc, get to the start line and please, Kacey, slow down this time.

Kacey:
I'll do what you say, boss.

Damian (Thinking):
I don't even know if I'm going to stay that way.

Kacey rushes to the start line and Alloroc arrives shortly after.

Damian:
Ready.

Alloroc levitates two rocks in front of him.

Damian:
Set.

Kacey puts on her goggles.

Damian:
Go!

Kacey starts to run a little fast and watches Alloroc fly with his two stones. He ends up dropping them when he lands on a big rock that he also controls. Kacey comes in sight of their first obstacle; a large body of water.

Kacey:
Luckily I'm not Sonic.

Alloroc dives as the big rock falls almost knocking Kacey down .

Alloroc:
Watch out!

She sees Alloroc swimming underwater.

Kacey:
Alright, let's go.

She runs fast enough to stay on the water then notices two boats. She runs around the first, sending it pink lightning bolts, eventually destroying it.

Meanwhile, Alloroc approaches the second from below and hits it with a blast of water, causing it to sink from below. Kacey ends up leaving the body of water, out of breath.

Kacey:
I really don't like the water.

Alloroc also comes out.

Alloroc:
Is it over already?

Kacey sees the second and last obstacle, the walls of the first round.

Kacey:
It's too easy!

She starts running again super fast.

Alloroc:
Wait, I think there's a problem.

Unlike the first round, the wall does not rise. At the same time, at the console, Damian systematically presses the same button.

Damian:
Come on!

Jaden:
What's wrong?

Damian:
I can't get that damn wall up!

Jaden:
There may be a short circuit.

Damian:
Kacey, stop!

Kacey starts to brake but because of the ground, she slips anyway.

Kacey:
I feel like this is going to hurt.

Suddenly, she sees a giant stone snake destroying all the walls and Kacey ends up stopping. She turns to Alloroc, whose hands are still shining yellow.

Kacey:
Thank you. I almost got hurt.

Alloroc:
You're welcome.

Titans Tower Common Room- Later. Kacey and Alloroc return to the others.

Lian:
Are you okay, Kacey?

Kacey:
Yeah, Alloroc saved me. Boss, you can tell me why you let me hit the wall.

Damian:
The wall was supposed to go up. I'm sorry.

Kacey:
When I get to go fast enough to vibrate through matter, you can leave me the wall below.

Damian:
Got it.

Olivia:
It was awesome your last shot, Alloroc.

Alloroc:
To be honest, I didn't know I could do that. Mom showed me how to levitate stones and that's it. I'll have to talk to her about it.

Damian:
Okay, that's all for today. You can do whatever you want. Except you, Jaden, we're going to investigate this short circuit.

Koro:
Okay, I'll go home and see how my sister is.

Lilith hugs him.

Lilith:
Hope she's okay.

Koro:
Me too.

Paine:
Lilith!

Lilith:
What? The boss said we could do whatever we wanted.

Paine:
You will see each other tomorrow. Leave him alone.

Lilith:
You really are a killjoy.

She finally let go.

Koro:
Bye, everyone. See you tomorrow.

Olivia:
Adios.

He enters the Zeta tube and disappears.

Olivia:
I gotta go. I promised to accompany Mom to the mall. See ya everyone.

Jon:
See you tomorrow.

She leaves through the Zeta tube.

Paine:
We too will have to go.

Murdoc:
But I wanted to go see Mar'i.

Paine:
You'll see her tomorrow.

Murdoc:
I'm going to write a new song about Mar'i's victory.

She forms a green portal.

Paine:
Bye.

Lilith and Murdoc go through the portal, followed by Paine. The portal disappears.

Alloroc:
Who wants a game?

Jon:
Me.

He turns on the TV and the game console.

Lian:
Hey, Helena; archery competition?

Helena:
Why not.

They leave for the tower gym.

On the training area, Damian and Jaden examine what remains of the walls.

Damian:
I didn't think Alloroc was going to destroy these walls.

Jaden conjures up his metallic arm as well as a red eye to analyse.

Jaden:
You underestimated his power.

Damian:
Yeah. So? Is it a short circuit?

Jaden:
Apparently not. Everything was working wonderfully. I don't understand...wait.

Damian:
What? What did you find?

Jaden:
I found residual traces of magical energy.

Damian:
Magical energy?

Jaden:
Or demonic. This scanner does not differentiate.

Damian:
Wait, you're not suggesting that Murdoc purposely blocked the wall so that Kacey was hurt.

Jaden:
No, we've seen him use his powers to block the walls up so he can pass. What if he accidentally left some of his energy in the wall?

Damian:
I didn't think it was possible. He will have to talk to him about it tomorrow and maybe talk to his mother about it.

Jaden:
I don't think we will. It's Mar'i's turn.
