Sonic the Hedgehog 1

There was once an island named South Island, home to peaceful animals. But then Dr. Ivo Robotnik, an evil mad scientist invaded. Using his technology, Dr. Robotnik turned all the animals into robots. Eventually, Robotnik caught word of six magical emeralds known as Chaos Emeralds. Sonic the Hedgehog - everyone is waiting for your help!

2. Chapter 2:Egg Pod Showdown

Note: I do not own Sonic or Sega in any way. This is part of a project where I turn Sonic the Hedgehog games into literature. Well, enjoy!

On his quest to find all six chaos emeralds, Sonic come across Dr. Robotnik. Will Sonic win? Or will he be defeated? Well, he shouldn't, because it's only chapter two!

"Almost at the end of this hilly area…" Sonic said, racing across loops and doing impressive flips.

"How do you like my brand new Egg pod? I don't think you'll make it this time, Sonic!" cackled someone from above. "I'll enjoy watching your demise!"

A round, fat, mad scientist sized pod floated down. Inside was Robotnik, who was cackling idiotically.

"I don't think so, Robotnik!" Sonic said, pointing his gloved finger at Robotnik.

"Well, prepare to be crushed! Ha, ha, ha.." Robotnik cackled. "Hee, hee.. Okay, this is getting old. Um, as I said, PREPARE TO GET FLATTENED!"

A swinging chain with a giant ball came out of the bottom of the egg pod. It swung back and forth, almost crushing Sonic, who quickly dodged these attacks.

"Nice try, but you're no match for Sonic th-" Sonic began, when he was suddenly hit, knocking him down.

"See Sonic? Now I'M even! Ha, ha, ha, ha, haaa!" Robotnik laughed.

"Well, Robotnik, I have one last trick up my sleeve...if I had a sleeve," Sonic replied, then held out a golden ring. "But these rings boost me up! And people leave them lying around, which isn't such a great idea."

"Who DOES leave them lying around?" Robotnik asked.

"No clue! Anyways, prepared to be SONIC BOOMED!" Sonic said. He couldn't resist that pun.

Sonic went a little faster and used his spin attack and spin jump, hitting the egg pod from all sides. Then he hit the engine, causing it to explode.

BOOM!

Robotnik was sent flying away, with a burning egg pod.

"Curse you, Sonic the Hedgehog!" Screamed the mad doctor as he flew in the air.

"Whew! That was tiring," Sonic said. He then paused and took a deep breath. "Well, gotta run! Those chaos emeralds won't collect themselves!" Sonic said, then dashed off towards an abandoned city, filled to the brim with factories and skyscrapers. Until then, ciao!
