Another chapter y'all, hope you enjoy
(Same day)
"I knew it!", Sarafina exclaimed.
Nala questions, "What, how did you know mom, I never told you anything".
"Oh Nala, it's quite obvious, whenever you look at him, your eyes are full of love plus he's the only lion you found when you left and you two nuzzled affectionately infront of the whole pride before he reclaimed his rightful place", Sarafina explained.
"I guess it is obvious", Nala thought.
And so Nala admitted, "Yes mom, I love him, but I don't think he loves me back and maybe if I say that I'm pregnant with his cub he would only think of it as a bastard, a product of me going to heat and him accompanying me", Nala also explained, she loves him but she doesn't think he loves her back. She bet that Simba only felt lonely in the jungle as a lion longing for company from one of his own kind, reason why he felt happy to see her but after that 'company' they fought, the event which made Nala think he doesn't love her because he wouldn't go back for her.
After hearing all that, Sarafina spoke up, "Oh Honey, Simba isn't that kind of lion, I've known him since the day he was born, yes his personality has matured but he's still the same kind cub like before".
"I know that he is a kind lion, the Simba I always knew, I'm just not ready to tell him or maybe I'll never tell him...oh mom I'm confused", Nala admitted
Sarafina comforted and explained, "You know I'm here to help and don't worry, this cub will be loved even if it's father doesn't", she added, "But you have to at least try to tell him that you're carrying his cub, remember, this isn't just any ordinary cub, it's the future heir to the throne, the Royal Bloodline running through it's veins.", Sarafina advices, "But don't put too much pressure on yourself, it's bad for the cub, just do what you think is best for yourself, Simba, and the cub"
Nala answered after thinking of it for a while, "I will mom, thank you", she smiles at her mother before nuzzling her.

Meanwhile, at the other side of the Pridelands, Simba and Zazu are welcoming some of the other animals that are returning to the Pridelands, the wild animals had fleed the lands when they heard that Scar and the hyenas have taken over, they've gone to a more safer land although not as good as the Pridelands.
Simba is welcoming the elephants as they enter to settle down after so long, "Welcome back to the Pridelands, Aminifu", Simba greeted to the leader of the elephants.
Aminifu greeted back, "Thank you King Simba, it is our greatest honor that you've welcomed us back"
Simba replied, "It's nothing Aminifu it is my duty to assure that you all will have a good place to call home"
Aminifu noticed the worry in the king's eyes, he can see that he is having a difficult time, "Your Majesty, if you need help you can count on me"
Simba replied, "Thank you for the offer Aminifu but as king it is my responsibility and you are my loyal subjects, you don't have to"
Aminifu says, "I'm not gonna ask anymore your Majesty, I insist on helping you, this is our home and just like you, I want to be part of restoring it"
Simba finally accepted the elephants offer, "I guess I could use a helping paw, thank you so much Aminifu"
Aminifu smiled, "Anytime King Simba". Simba smiled back.
Zazu came flying towards Simba to report once more, "Sire", he then landed on the king's shoulder.
"Yes Zazu...anything more to do?", Simba asked while yawning, he's exhausted, he and Zazu have been there for almost a day and he hasn't eaten any meal yet.
"No Sire, we've done all the duties for the day, in conclusion we can go back to Pride Rock so you can rest and eat, we still have a long day again tomorrow", Zazu said.
Simba smiled after hearing that, "Finally", he thought, "Thank you Zazu, I'll head back now".
Zazu nodded, "Have a good evening Sire", he flew off.
Simba walked back alone to Pride Rock, he can finally rest he thought, he never thought he'd miss sleeping that much. A few minutes later and he reached the watering hole, he stopped by to drink but before he could take a drink he once again saw Nala drinking across the water from where he is.
"She's so beautiful", he thought honestly, she is indeed a beautiful young lioness, ever since he reunited with her at the jungle that's what his impression of her is and always been, never did he thought he would fall for his childhood best friend.
Nala noticed Simba when she lifted her head after drinking, Simba quickly took his eyes off her and pretended to drink too.
"Hey Simba, finally done with the duties?", Nala asked seeing Simba.
Simba lifted his head, answered awkwardly while walking around the water towards her, "Nala, didn't notice you there heh...and yeah, Zazu and I just parted ways".
Nala replied, "That's great and Simba, I've been here for a while so you should have seen me" she smirked.
Simba answered, "Right, maybe I didn't notice you cause I hurried to drink", "Man am I a bad liar", he whispered to himself and decided to change the subject, "Anyways it's great to see you again after this morning", he smiled.
"It's great to see you too Simba", Nala smiled back.
A moment of silence filled the atmosphere when none of them talked until Simba asked just to break the silence, "Are you doing well now, no more sickness going on?"
Nala answered, "Yes I'm all better Simba don't worry and besides I've been through a much worse sickness when I was younger"
A few minutes of talking, their mothers came and approached their children, Simba and Nala turned their gaze to their parents, "I see you two are finally able to talk to each other now", Sarabi interrupted
Simba replied to his mother, "Yes we are"
While the mother and son are conversing, Nala notices her mother, signalling for her to do something and she knows what it is, but she has no plan on doing what her mother insists. Sarafina frowned when she saw her daughter shaking her head, "How stubborn she is". Nala had told her earlier that she will not tell Simba about the cub, she said if she starts showing signs of pregnancy she'll just say that the cub isn't Simba's and raise him/her on her own, not the kind of answer she was expecting. She just let go of it, she doesn't want to pressure her daughter but if she needs to she will, but not for now.
After a while of talking Sarabi looked at the sky and it's getting dark, "Well look at the sky, why don't we all go home now, it's getting pretty dark and we're all exhausted especially our king here" nodding towards her son.
Simba admitted, "Well I guess I am pretty tired", he yawned, "Let's go everyone", smiling at Nala.
"You two go ahead, Nala and I will follow", Sarafina interrupted patting Nala's shoulder, Sarabi and Simba nodded and went along.
When the mother and son are far enough, Nala talked, "I know what this is about mom, I'm sorry but I'm not going to tell him".
Sarafina replied, "Nala, you know better than this, I don't feel like you are still the daughter I raised who always considers others than her own self".
"That's what I'm doing right now mom, I'm hiding this cub for a reason, I don't want Simba to feel more pressured when he has a damaged kingdom to rebuild", Nala explained.
Sarafina said, "I've told you this earlier and I'm going to repeat it again since it obviously didn't get in your head. Have you considered the future of your cub?, remember, it's not only Simba we're concerned about, you have an unborn innocent cub to also think about, his/her future lies with your decisions, that's what you can't understand"
Nala retorted not answering her mother she walked away, "I can't do this right now mom, what I only know is that I've made my decision, I'm gonna go".
Sarafina shaked her head in dissapointment,"What's happening to you my daughter", she thought once again letting the stubborn Nala go.
While Nala was walking, she felt a bit of tightening in her lower abdomen, she stopped in her tracks startling Sarafina who is quietly following in a good distance, Nala remembered what Rafiki said, "Your pregnancy is sensitive, I advice that if you feel a tightness or pain on your stomach you stop what you are doing immediately because you might be stressed, don't let things that stress you get in your way or else you might lose de little one"
Sarafina asked concerned walking forward so she can be beside Nala, she saw her daughter closing her eyes tightly as if she's in pain, "Are you okay Honey?".
Nala opened her eyes when the pain slightly subsided, "I'm fine mom, I just need some rest I think, I'm quite tired", she lied.
Sarafina replied not entirely believing Nala's answer, "Okay Honey, let's go so you can rest", she assisted her daughter and they continued to walk on.
A/N
I know Nala is a bit of an airhead here than her usual clever personality in the movies but don't worry, she's just confused, after all she's a first-time mother, she'll eventually come along soon:)
