Alfred's POV

When I first met Y/N I was enchanted. It felt as if the whole world stopped moving. The air was filled with the scent of lavender, her perfume, and coffee. Oh the smell of the warm coffee adds to her elegance. It makes me want to get closer to her. And not to mention her beauty, her angelic face compliments the graceful sway of her body.

I know it was fate that we switched our coffees, bumping into her was no mistake. And to even have her in the same event! Can you believe it? It's all meant to be!

I had to catch her, everyone seems to want her. She looked like a supermodel when she walked inside the room with her black sleek trench coat, bodycon dress, and high heels on. Damn baby! She looks hotter than triple cheeseburger deluxe! I could just eat her up right then and there-

No wonder everybody wants her, hell even my own brother! Well suck it up dudes 'coz we're meant to be! I was the one who she met first, at the coffee shop. But why is she hanging out with him more? Did she find him more attractive than me?

Ok let's get our game on Alfred. You're the hero! Protagonists never lose to villains! I'll just go to the comfort room real quick, put on my best perfume, stand straight, brush my hair back and fix my tie. Let's get this right dude! I mentally prepare myself to impress her, but as I enter the conference room I see her talking to other more countries. Oh come on! I mean it's ok to introduce yourself to her since she's new, but ughh…. Man this sucks. She didn't notice me at all! I tried waiting for them to finish and finally get my chance to talk to her and sit beside her. But that did not arrive because Ludwig started the meeting already. I sat across her, can't take my eyes off her. She's just so pretty, I could look at her all day. Oh no! She saw me, I tried looking away but I think she saw me? I look back at her again, not paying attention to the nonsense everyone is saying.

She suggested ways that we can help each other with the economy, it was brilliant! Not only is she beautiful but clever as well! Oh man, now it's getting harder since there's more competition. It feels like Ludwig is also impressed with her!

Finally at lunch time I can try to make her notice me. Sweet, she's going out for lunch with the allies! I tried to strike up a conversation with her but she looked behind and saw my brother being alone behind the group. She went up to him and left my side. What does my brother have that I don't? It's too early to get jealous like this but, why do I feel this way? Why are my hands trembling? I don't like seeing her smile around my brother. He's not even attractive! What does he see in him? Ok calm down Alfred, maybe he's just being nice to him. Right, let's go with that for now. But I really can't stop looking at them together, I must find a way to get her attention back.

Ah right! She's not yet ordering, I might as well ask her. "Hey guys! What would you like to order?", I flashed my hero grin on her. I see her blush a little, it's working! Yeah that's right matt, you saw her blush on me huh

I gotta make sure I got her order right so that I won't mess up. Damn the blush on her face is so cute tho. I wonder what she looks like if she's all flustered. I try to imagine her all flustered on my bed underneath me when suddenly- "Sir, may I know your order? Sir?" my daydreaming was cut short by having to order our food.

The moment I got our food, I saw her giggling with Matthew. How come my brother can make her laugh? It's not fair! Why am I feeling this way again? I just met her… but why do I feel like I want to smash this tray on my brother's head. It's a new and strange feeling. I fight the feeling away as I walk towards them and make sure to sit in between them. That should do it, now I can finally have her all by myself.

She tried to pay me back but I'm definitely not letting her pay me, no way. I'd buy anything for her. Looking at her crystal eyes made me smile like an idiot. "No need! It's my treat!", smiling like a kid, it made her blush. I did it! Another score for the hero! I watch her eat and together we exchange stories, getting to know what she likes and her culture. Note to self Alfred, don't forget these details!

When we went back to the meeting room, everyone wrapped up but I'm still busy finishing the minutes of the meeting when I saw this brit waiting up on her. He wanted to take her home, that's for sure. He asked her if she needed a ride. Oh hell nah dude, she's gonna ride with me! I closed my laptop, shoved all my papers in the bag, and tried to catch up on them. I felt my blood boil when I saw her riding in that brit's car. I was too late. I wanna impress her with my ride and maybe get her to add me on facebook along the way. Sighing sadly, I headed for the parking lot.

A day has passed and I have never been so gloomy knowing that she'll be leaving soon and I haven't even gotten her to add me yet. I tried to browse Facebook but there's too many with the same name, or maybe she isn't using her real name. Sighs. The hero has failed. Even the weather is sad, it's as if it knows my feelings. My friends are all coming over for a sleepover, I don't have the energy to stand up from the couch knowing that my crush got away that fast. The doorbell rang and the gang is here. I let them in and went back to slouch on my bean bag.

"Hey Alfred, where's the restroom?", Arthur asked. I pointed lazily at the door. While the others are still setting up, I saw Arthur's phone on the table buzz and flashed a notification from Y/N. They exchanged numbers?! I grabbed it, and read the text message. Y/N was stranded from the airport due to cancelled flights, now she's looking for a place to stay since all hotels are fully booked. I stood up from the couch, quick as lightning, grabbed my coat and my keys. My girl needs me! The hero is coming to save her!

I drove in this horrendous weather, searching every street near the airport and hotel for her. Until I found her! She's soaking wet. I immediately stopped at her, and her dull eyes glimmered with hope. I know she knows that she just got rescued. I rolled down my windows and told her to get in. I helped her with her bags, and she sat down consciously beside me. Oh no worries baby, I don't care if the front seat is wet, as long as it's you who's sitting there. I gave her a reassuring smile, I wanted her to know that she's now safe and sound with me.

"Let's get you home...good thing I found you", I told her as I grabbed her hand and squeezed it. As I let go of it to drive us home, she was looking at me with her crystal eyes. I feel like I'll melt. Oh I can't wait to take her home and bond with her- oh shit wait, the gang is at home, as I mentally facepalm again.

To be continued…
